Ah ok. Well I stack off AA KK and AK. The AK done me last night against a fish who just happened to have AA at that point. Grinded that loss back though.

Live I normally buy in for £100 so it's 100BB.
The reason I'm trying this is because over the past year I have lost thousands online. Mostly because at the start I had no clue, maybe got some beginners luck and nver knew anything about bankroll management.

I would jump between HU, SNG, tournaments and at any stakes I could afford.

So before I play at a game now I want to make sure I have/am doing all the required work to be confident in playing there. Actually doing this has improved my game massively and it even helped my live game. I feel I still have a lot of leaks so would be pointless to deposit and start playing $0.5/$1

Also just recently, even though I have been winning live I have had to cash out a serious amount of my winnings/roll for other things.

So only have a short roll. I was going to try and get backing in the market thread for live.

Re: 2NL to somewhere, last losing player post

So after that session I made $14! I think I will have a break for 10 minutes and then try win enough to move up to 5nl tomorrow.

Sessions

Here's my graph

So my roll is $95.49

Just $4.5 to go. Not really many interesting hands really to post, a lot of standard Aces and Kings pre or just value value. Will review all my hands tomorrow though and post some that stand out.

Re: 2NL to somewhere, last losing player post

2NL BEAT
So I had a 10 minute break, got some food and then opened up the tables again.
Total winning that session $19.07. Bringing my bank roll to $100.55

So I now have 20 buy ins at 5NL so will move up tomorrow.

Earlier in the thread you see I had beat 2NL before. But it wasn't like this, more swings and probably luck and just took forever. This time I think I beat it pretty good, winrate of 23BB/100 and in a much faster time, 6,600 hands.

Here's my final graph for 2NL. Lets see if with all the lessons learned 5NL will be a success and I will be able to keep the mega tilt away.

Re: 2NL to somewhere, last losing player post

Massive heater this first session at 5NL thanks to 2 fish.

After 3 hours.

Bankroll currently at $131.09

Since I might just be lucky so far I think I will maybe move up when I have 25 buy ins for 10nl instead of just 20

Re: 2NL to somewhere, last losing player post

Well that whale mate of mine thought it would be good to crash the party. He know's I'm trying to grind this out but seems to just want to 3bet every hand and chase every back door inside straight possible.

Lost $20 in this session due to the above. But then he donks it all off to otehr regs. If any of you are playing my tables you will see what I mean.

The thing is we have a lot of live history so there's lots of stuff you will see us do against each other that looks crazy.

I should post hands, you wouldn't believe it. Guy shoves AKo, I fold jacks and the whale goes I'm calling with 63 hearts, watch 457 come, 245 actually came out! He's on my table now with $22.50 so I don't want to leave.

Re: 2NL to somewhere, last losing player post

Clear that I'm not playing my A game since moving to 5NL.

Tilting to think you can crush 2NL like that then be all over the place at 5NL when the game can't be that much different.

Going to the rest of tonight instead of playing. Also think I might be best posting hands in other forums since this thread doesn't seem to have much of an audience.

Keep up the good work man. I'm sure 5nl isn't that much harder, but definitely won't be a walk in the park like 2nl. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Thanks man. Managed to build some pots and get back to pretty much the $100 mark.

Decided to go to the casino to chill out. Strange whenever I get frustrated online I normally go to the casino. Just 1h and 45m later with a profit of £176 so that was good.

Re: 2NL to somewhere, last losing player post

Why do you want to move up so fast.

I would recommend to just keep grinding more at 2nl for a week or two to get a bigger comfort zone and a bigger BR.

If you want to make more money u dont have to necessary move up to 5nl so fast maye focus on playing more tables at the same time at 2nl
