BB: 6,415 (5.3 bb)
MP1: 6,962 (5.8 bb)
MP2: 20,097 (16.7 bb)
MP3: 13,227 (11 bb)
Hero (CO): 23,738 (19.8 bb)
BTN: 32,071 (26.7 bb)
SB: 14,980 (12.5 bb)
Preflop: Hero is CO with J Q
3 folds, Hero raises to 2,400, BTN calls 2,400, SB folds, BB raises to 6,290 and is all-in, [color="red"]Hero ?
You do like to get yourself in spots !!! If the BB has any sort of brain, he is taking the spin here with pretty much ATC. So I probs open fold !!! As played, I think I call but hate it as we have to fold to a shove. Arrghgh..I dont know man

Really?! With the btn playing nearly 50% of hands?! I'm gladly getting it in vs the BB w/QJ & what range are we assigning to btn? I'd say any pp, AXs/KXs, Q8+, J9+, SCs?
I'd also say that the BB always has at least a semi-decent hand here almost always. He *could* fold and still have fold equity with his shoves for one more orbit, plus he can't ever expect to be folding out me or the button here.

Re: 25k PROFIT IN 2012
just a heads up, but variance at 180s can be devistating. One of the well known regs had a 7k downswing playing 3r's to 35s. Solid player also.

Re: 25k PROFIT IN 2012
Sup all. Sorry it's been quiet. Not too much ro report. Have been studying like mad and really feel like it's paying off. I've been building stacks like crazy over the last couple of days and running great until around the bubble only to see it all fall apart. As you can see below (my stats filtered for when I'm all in from final two tables) I'm running awfully in the late game. Been working really hard though, as stated, and really feeling it start to come back together. Work ethic's been good too. 40 hours over the last 6 days and nearly 600 games so far this month. Loving playing and really hitting my stride so results will follow. Can't wait to string together a couple of good winning days. Can't wait to start playing more of the 3rs/8s. I've been doing ok in the few 8s that I've been playing but getting crushed in 3rs. It'll come though. Need to make a few adjustments.
AIPF at final 2 tables
Here's a screenshot of my positions from this evening in a session I managed to win about $15 in! So frustrating. Tonight could have easily been a big session.
I've not won a 2.5 180 now since February 27th (some 750 games ago) and here's my closest effort, which happened today.

Results: 216,076 pot

I did a HH review w/chips1234 yesterday which was great. He said there were no real leaks. Couple of marginal spots where maybe he'd have shoved but were pretty neutral ev either way and he saw a couple of re-steal spots which has definitely helped but it was a confidence-boost to be told i'm playing well. Been running again too which was awesome. Really enjoying it and I'm so much better at poker afterwards! Saying that, I did look like a bit of a moron as I was listening to the Alan Partridge audiobook whilst running and giggling like a schoolgirl!
Ok, so here's the graph for this month so far. Not happy viewing but it'll improve ten-fold soon, I'm sure.
Finally, this is for Alex......
GL all!

Re: 25k PROFIT IN 2012
Ended up shipping another $2.5 today and then played some 8s and $3r's tonight. Made a little bit of cash overall and finished 2nd in an $8 but most profit was wiped out by the 3rs which I'm just running unreal in. Weird how that works. Still, I'm feeling really confident about my game. Really feel like I'm playing the best I ever have so just gotta keep plugging away and hope it turns sooner than later. Still confident I can kill this.
Gl all.

Re: 25k PROFIT IN 2012
Thanks Grammen. Nik, defo beer. Possibly even tonight? May go meet Sal and Tom in a bit?
Ok, so, first day proper at $3.5r/8s and was pretty deep and running awful and then turned it around somewhat and weeeeeeee I'm out of make-up! First decent day in a while and now fully expecting a nice long heater. Don't know whether to go out tonight or get dinner and play some more.
