I'm back

Some may recognise my name after a few threads on here. Some been successful and some not. After my latest thread where turned something like $100 to 1.8k I withdrew most my roll. This seem to be a mistake but after a big $400 down swing. I left myself with $100 and tried to grind it back up. However I got a job and ended up playing casually and losing. Which happened to lose it and gave poker a break.

4/5 months pass and with only playing the odd games. I then moved back home after Uni/working and I'm now jobless. So I have been wanting to get a thread going again to get me motivated. So I deposited $20 and managed to grind it up to $30.

However with micro millions the BRM went out the window. I played the storm and main event with a part stake. Managed to cash the Storm for $25 but had to ship half to a buddy. So Anyway, it ended with $23.45. I was going to do a $20 challenge so I thought I would jump a $3.30 hot turbo mtt.

So challenge started and yeh few hours later and some break even sng games. I end up in the last 100 in mtt. Got lucky at times and bink finished 5th for $489. Bad news I owed my mate $100.

On the journey to 5k What a great start!!

I currently play on pokerstars.com. However this challenge is not just for this site. I am thinking of depositing on another site which I have been told is very fishy. If I do play on other sites. I will withdraw from here and deposit it on that site so it will just fit in with the challenge. I may withdraw at times to being skint and needing to pay rent and things but I'm hoping to keep all my roll on here to grind it up. The more you start with the more you can win.

Update
So after a nice start to the challenge and a beautiful day I thought I would just stay of the grind today. Going to watch a footy game (soccer) later and there is no point jumping in any mtt's. I did have a few hands at 0.2/0.5c Zoom poker just to feed my addiction. Less then 100 hands and finished in a little profit. Now time to just go enjoy the rest of the day with a beer.

Update

Been meaning to update but just not managed to get round to it. Lately I have only been playing Mtt's. $5 or less. Pretty much broke even every day, even though run deep in two 1k cap peeps. Finished 13th in one and 15th which both won around $30. Final table is where the real money but I know i'm good in these and run deep. Yesterday I actually took one down for a cool $430.

Did ship around $30 between two mates who were railing me. At one stage I lost a massive pot and went to short stack with about 18-20 people left. Didn't panic. Next thing I know I'm 2nd in chips and make final table (5 people). From then most the table were just nits so managed to bully them and eventually with a bit of luck took it down.

Also managed to nearly final table another mtt. With a bad read/a little bad luck I was knocked out in 11th with top 8 being final table. Made $35 which was a little meh. However good thing was it made me more determined to take down the other.

Cheers guys. Will be looking to update at least once a day. Will also post graphs and results once I play more games. At the moment i'm just going to grind mtt's but could still play sng's in future. Got a busy line up today so hopefully grind a few mtt's and hopefully run deep.

Been a really really brutal day today. I don't want to moan about beats because lets be honest who wants to hear it? But when your getting sets over sets or more then once occasion you know its just not your day. Only managed to cash one tourney (i think) today. Down to about $750 but in two mtt's still. One being gtd cash but just average stack at the moment.

Have to remain positive. The loss today will not be everyday. Only Sundays will I play the $11 tournaments unless running well. Weekdays I will be back to around $5 games. Hopefully this hour break will switch me to god mode Unless final table I will just post about it tomorrow.

Update

Currently on quite a sick downswing. Just soul destroying when you get it in good and lose or you get it in behind with plenty of outs and miss. Struggling to cash anything. Losing some big/vital pots deep in a couple of tournaments which sucks. I don't want this to turn into just moaning. So I have looked at my game and there are a few leaks I have.

Leak 1 - Need to stop playing little pocket pairs in early position. To many times I will either bet out/limp and then call a raise in a deeper position to only miss and either chase or fold. Which is just costing me chips.

Leak 2 - Patience!! this is a big leak. Many times I get frustrated with the run of cards or I feel I need to play a pot. Just need to learn to sit tight especially when the blinds are nothing. One of my biggest problems is when I build up a good stack early, I try to mantain my high position by being loose aggressive. Feel I need to alter that. Last time was in the storm - raced to 4th with 30k and average being 5. I then crashed out within next hour because tried to stay 4th. It made me get it in with J7 on JJx board in which villain had JK and won. Could have avoided it.

Leak 3 - A x s is not my friend. I'm not quite sure on the odds to hit a flush but I chase like a fish at times only to miss. Really need to just use my head and play better.

Down to about $710. This also includes shipping $20 I owed to a friend. I transferred $$ to £335 just in case I need to withdraw some. It left me with about $200 in which im down to $186. But this is more then enough to play what I was playing and hopefully win big.

Sorry for lack of updates. Really will try to update once a day. Just to keep me motivated and not let this sick run just fcuk me up!

Some nice winnings you have. I know it is soul crushing when you get it all in and the other player hits his 2 outer. I have the same very often on turbo sng's, but be patience and don't do stupid things
