No, it'll be a different one I never like to donate to same charity twice, so if yourself or others have any ideas for charities then put them forward please
Good idea not telling your friends you're back. I've toyed with the idea of telling mine that I'm going on holiday but just not going out and grinding for 2 weeks :P It's not a douche move at all.
Hope your hard work pays off and well played on the charity stuff, seems like you've donated a tonne lifetime #karma
$15k Profit (inc RB/Bonuses) - [ ] Nowhere near, didn't get any profit.
At least 12 workouts (gym/football/running) [X] Ran 5times, played football 4times, Golf once, then on the treadmill & bike twice. Only just made it though.
And for the charity I will donate $250 per goal I fail. And 5% of overall profits (regardless of amount won)(This is my version of tax). So I'm open for charity suggestions again ITT please.
So that means there is $750 to go to charity.
Jaffyj whats your screen name for $50 please?
Ver gato likewise for your $50 please
& JJYYKK yours please (I know its sthin like yughiopro but not the spelling)
Cheers guys, gonna write full update now!
I've donated the money to where delaney sugested, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity:
Lack of Positive Results
Now the question is, is this variance or am I only profitable up to say $50 buyins, and I'm a negative ROI player above this, in which case I'll continue losing. I'm hopeful that the majority of it is variance, but this could just be my ego refusing to accept the obvious.
Can relate to this dilemma. Couldn't figure out how I could be crushing $30 games yet go on a 150+ buyin downswing in $60s. My chipEV in them was horrific, but that's obv only a really vague guide. I took a break from playing them but then thought meh, how can I be -EV in them, and results have improved, although haven't recovered from that swing yet. As long as you have some game selection, keep plugging away if you can accept them destroying your bottom line if you run bad, if not just lay off them a while (or alternatively quit 18-mans altogether )

Yeh, makes me a bit of an unsociable bastard, but got to focus on poker whilst I can I guess! Cheers

Hopefully we both come out of the dilemma crushing at the other side and can put it down to variance, would be nice. For now I'm gonna keep on grinding as I am, I go away in 3 weeks so the worst that could happen is probably only lose like 20k I'd think. Hopefully get some heat back!

Cheers man appreciated, time to get it running goooood like last year
I just finished reading Your last goal a couple of weeks ago. I haven't played poker in months so I deposited 20 dollars for the craic played the .10 360s to get used to multitabling again with hm2. I've grinded it up to 500 dollars playing 360s 90s 45s and now the 180s with a handful of tourneys that's in 5 weeks recreational play as I've a full time job. I've ability but no discipline whatsoever. I've a question or two if you could give me a bit of advice. How do you stop tilt shoving in the 180s? what's my best way to build a roll with my BR at the minute 500 dollars? I'll be playing evenings and weekends? I've tried hm2 I'm not fully happy with it. I'm gonna try the PT4 for the trial I haven't used it before so I've no clue yet but what do you prefer and when your looking over hands do you upload to a replayer or scroll hm2 hh filters I find it hard getting myself to try studying after a session, so little time with an 8-5 ye no. Thanks in advance if u have time to answer I no your a busy man your not far from a nice score keep er lit

Thanks for the kind words.
Congrats on doing so well so far that is a massive grind/run to get 20 dollars to 500! With that roll if I were you personally I'd be aggressive and take a shot at the 2.50 180s and possibly the $3.50 45 mans as well. Whilst I feel the higher 180s are very hard i still think there is money to be made at the 2.50s. If you dropped 100 buyins (so only had $250 left) i think I'd advise you to drop down stakes, though I'm not sure what are below these? Maybe the 1.50 45s.
Stopping 'tilt' shoving is hard, when a reg 3bets you and you get the mindset 'they cant have it every **** time' just tell yourself they normally do, and that in best case scenario we're probably flipping so just fold...
I find studying very hard. I try to mark key hands using HEM1 as my session is in progress, then afterwoods attempt to look over these using the built in replayer, but this is just personal habit.
6 days have passed in July and I'm really happy with how I've been playing so far. 3 days into the month I was really happy with how I was playing, but also really sad about the results, was down $3.5k losing about $1.2k every day for those first three and it was starting to frustrate me.
But since then I've had three winning days, on Weds $325, Thurs $908 then yesterday $4573 which is actually my second best day of the year so far (not saying that much tho!)
During this month so far I have had a ridiculous amount of deep runs in mtts which is really morale and confidence boosting. Even though I've come up short in most of them you can take this one of two ways, number 1 - fffuuuuuu why always me, every time its got to turn sooner or later. Or number 2 - Be patient, I'm doing well to get deep so much, sooner or later it'll turn and you'll be on the right side of variance again like last year.
In the instant after a hand happens I'm normally number 1, but within about 30seconds I scold myself for being an ungrateful whinger and quickly become number 2
So heres the really deep runs i've had this month:
But on the plus side yesterday I had 1st 82 hyper for $3926 as no one else ticked chop. Felt really nice to get a win. Completely opposite to most of my other runs this year in that I went into the ft absolutely crippled and 6/6 whereas in most things this year I've gone into fts quiet stacked and then blown up. I only had 3.3bbs to start the ft and was utg. Picked up 78os and think that i have to get that in there so 2.2x called it off and won v A5. From there 22 hands later it was over and I'd won The other players on the table seemed pretty damn tight and scared of busting so of the 22 hands I raised and won 14 of them - though its fair to say I was running above EV in card distribution too. No matter how much you know its a good spot to be raising thin you still cant raise if you're getting crap like 27os.
Going back to the other deep runs I mentioned, it really is nice to have them imo, because I know I'm on the verge of starting up an almight heater and having a monster month, hopefully I can get that in before I fly to Thailand in ~21days!
