Ughhh just getting the same sick news that several others have received lately. As a "known poker player" I will no longer be able to receive wires from them. That's what I get for my baller min cash in wsop 2006. Checks should still come fine but it's much slower.

Week 45

Didn't have many days to play this week and found myself trying to play really long sessions on the two full days that I could play in order to make up for it. Rarely works out well for me. Found myself making plenty of mistakes and getting run down and a sick towards the end of the week. Had a great thanksgiving though and I expected to be short on goals for the week. Didn't expect to play poorly, run poorly, be short on ALL of my week goals and get sick but outside of poker it was a great week and I'm not gonna beat myself up over it.

Hopefully this week can be highly productive but if I'm still feeling sick in the morning I'm probably just going to do away from the table work or take care of mindless things around the house that need to get done. Gonna get plenty of sleep tonight and try to kick this asap to get back to work. It's just a mild cold but I try to never play when sick at all because I end up playing poorly, getting stressed and then recovering more slowly.

One month to go and a very holiday full one at that (including my bday making me 35 ) so there will be a lot of off days. Gonna have to be very efficient on my on days if I want to get back to hitting my week goals and possibly hitting my year $ goal.

From Cleveland, to Raleigh, back to Cleveland. Will be back on that route within the next 9 months or so

Week 46

and negative 400ish on Seals.

I've been struggling to hit my weekly goals lately. Having kids makes you really appreciate how everything in life is a phase. I guess because they are changing so rapidly and their phases are much more noticeable. As soon as you get used to how things are going, get ready for them to change.

We had a miraculously long period of good sleep and relatively easy bedtime routines over the past 5 or 6 months but that has all come crashing down over the past couple weeks. Everyone in the family has been sick over the past few weeks and we have had more going on than usual so all of that together and the stress and exhaustion that has come with it is certainly related to my lack of productivity but I think I've been less motivated anyway. Trying to snap out of it.

I'm off to abuse myself for my slackness with a run. I leave you with this great reading by one of my favorite documentarians, Werner Herzog. Enjoy

Have lost all but 1 of my last 12 sessions now. Think I'm going for a record.

No fun, man. I'd much rather have one huge day of getting crushed than losing tons of small sessions in a row. So demoralizing. Made a solid 50 bucks today though so... /DS

Well, looking over my year graph (I hadn't looked at everything in a while bc I didn't want to know exactly how close or far I was from goal) I now see that I broke the 175k mark about 12k hands ago. So that's the good news. The bad news is that I've dropped about 20k over those last 12k hands and this has been the worst month I've ever had.

I feel pretty busted up and completely incapable of winning. Fair to say I have a wide range of tilts going for me at the moment and rather than trying to continue the normal grind for the rest of the year I think I'm gonna call it. Not interested in having poker **** my head up any more over the holidays and having that get in the way of having a good time with friends and family. Ill probably just be going into study and review mode when I am working little bits here and there.

Terrible way to end the year and I feel ****ty about it for a number of reasons, mostly that I really started slipping on my weekly goals, but it was still a good year overall and I'm trying to keep that in focus. I'll try to get graphs and such up at some point.

Happy Holidays, everyone and thanks for all the support!

Calendar years are lame. $175k over a 365 day period is just as good

Dropped off the face of the internets for a few weeks there. Had a great Bday, Xmas, NYE despite one person or another in the family being sick for almost all of December. Feeling rejuvenated and ready to get back to the grind. Here's Cash graph for 2014

Plus $30kish in BTC from Seals or at least was worth 30k at time of winnings. Converted a fair amount but certainly not all of that and price has dropped plenty.

Plus 5kish from MTTs bringing online to around $165k
Then have to subtract about 10k for WSOP.

$155k is my best year to date but as far as work goes I don't feel great about it. Started out the year very strong and then really fell apart in the second half. I don't just mean results wise. I was hitting all of my weekly goals for 90% or more of the weeks in the first half of the year and that % steadily dropped towards the end of the year to where it was very rare that I was getting everything done. Plenty of reasons/excuses for the decline but no one wants to hear that including myself. I'm going to do my best to not let the same happen this year.

I haven't gotten together the full plan for 2015 but I'm working on it and Ill post link here when up. Thanks again for all the support guys and best of luck in 2015!

Bovada and Seals with Clubs. There were others at the beginning of the year (ACR, Merge, Intertops).
