Not familiar with the games, saw you fold with a stack of 120 at 60/120 with antes from the sb, both villains had >1200 chips is this normal? I would have tought playing atc getting >3.5-1 was the standard, perhaps im just unfamiliar with icm...

I'm finding that 15 tabling on PS is quite hard with the new dealing speed though, pretty sick!
Hopefully will be able to add in more tables as I get more comfortable
Told u so

Okay so ran really bad today in terms of card distribution, but still made some decent moneyz which is nice! Will be moving up to the $30s tomorrow and will probably just 4-6 table tile for a day or two so that I can note up regs ranges and make sure I'm not missing spots, and then will add in more games at a time as I go.

Probably will continue to put in the same or more # of hours per day into studying as playing for these next 2-3 days as well, I think it's really important to study study study when playing a newish format.

Are you gonna make supernova before December? Or have those US players who were inconvenienced by several months of not playing been given special dispensations in respect of their VIP status? Surely they should at least allow you to come back now at the same status level as you left them on April 15th; I'm guessing you were platinum when it all went tits up on Black Friday. Have you asked them about this?

Obv starting 2012 as SN would maximise your rakeback and give you an extra 100k FPP, worth $1600.

Posting in epic thread. Soon to be, anyway. I've followed your threads and props before, was never disappoint.

Good luck.

The only thing they give is your status u previous had on April 15, so if he has Bronze... he was Bronze on April 15th. In addition, US players get nothing else in terms of extensions etc.

Yea I just stack my tables, I have a custom layout on PS where all my tables go to my top left stack, but then I have 3 other stacks (created in TN) on my screen that are in the top right, bottom left and bottom right corners and I can just hotkey them over with 1 click if I ever want to watch a hand play out.

Yea, I'll easily make SN. I had to send the VIP club an email yesterday as I will get back my pre BF VIP level..they just haven't gotten back to me is all . So while I still can, just rockin out the bronze star so I look like a fish, seemed +ev

Just woke up, gonna get right on the grind in a few and plan to play quite a few hours today, but will just be 4 table tiling today so i can see a ton of different ranges by some of the higher volume regs.

Gr8 luck to everyone today! Will post an update at the end of the day

What are your normal stakes? I thought you were primarily a 2/180 and sometimes 12/180 player?

Lol haven't played a $2 180 since October 2010 and havent played 180s since BF obv. Been playing all hyper/super turbos since, beating up to the $52s (highest levels I played) on Merge, which are super ****ing hard games compared to the PS games. Will be playing up to $100 6max hypers (regular ones....NOT satties) if they add higher. If not, will just grind the $30s all year as that's the highest they offer right now.

Alright ended up cutting this session short as my TN somehow was wayyyy off in terms of registering. Had it set to keep up 7 tables for 2 hrs, but noticed i was short on tables (there was 4 up) and TN thought I was reg'd in 7...kinda annoying, just need to keep paying attention to it I guess or manually reg like I used to do.

Running pretty much at EV, my EV ROI still looks good even though I'm running pretty bad early on in games in terms of getting coolered; I think I must be running pretty well in bubble card distribution to make up for bad early game distribution. Hopefully can keep that EV ROI up!

Nice start, swingy games for sure.
11-08-2011 , 05:52 PM
oh, cool. i meant those were your normal games back when you were grinding stars. dont remember you playing much higher than that. i was gonna check SS but looks like you reset. how many 52s did you play on Merge? I thought you were primarily grinding the **** out of the 2-10s mostly iirc. like for every 100 games at the 10s and lower you played a handful of 52s?

either way its all good.
11-08-2011 , 05:59 PM
i didnt know the games at Merge were that much tougher than Stars. thought it was the other way around. pretty sick
11-08-2011 , 06:03 PM
annnnnd for the trifecta...

i gotta be honest i read this thread because of the motivation it gives me. im not particularly impressed with your results at the poker table (not that they arent good) but moreso with your work ethic. you eem to take everything in stride which is rare for most poker players. if you can maintain that attitude throughout '12 theres no doubt youll be SNE and kill it

Yea, its the fact that the 36.50s+ on Merge load STUPIDLY slow..I'd register every $36.50 that would pop in a session and would sometimes only get in 10-15 of them in a 400 game session, was absolutely unreal. So yea, thats why my ABI is $8...not enough higher stake games ran on merge

Yeah I mean come on Josh! $100,000+ in a year? That's not impressive at all! You're just a rakeback grinder. Anybody could do what you do if they felt like putting in the time. I would do what you do, but I don't feel like wasting my time gambling. I would rather work at my comfy job as an assistant manager at KFC.

Sound about right?

Nice 1 Jdawg, best of luck getting back on the grind on stars, you've got a lot of heart!!
