Was feeling a little off the past few days. Multitabling 3-4 tables regularly just makes my head explode. I've been a little too worried about just getting in VPPs as fast as possible, and not focusing on my opponents and making the best decisions possible. I know I can't expect to not have a slight drop in my ROI by playing a lot more games next year, but I definitely still expect to put up good results from just playing. Going to get back to 2 tabling, occasionally 3 tabling when at lower stakes.

Overall I feel pretty good though...I think it was a good idea for me to give SNE volume a trial run before it really counts.

VPPs: 19,140 (about 2.4k behind pace)

I'm going to post my 200-330 graph and my 500+ graph for the month. I have 100% of myself <500 and am staked 500+ (I get 50%). I need to learn how to win at 500+ this month, I guess. Graphs haven't really taken off yet, but they will eventually...I can't breakeven forever I don't think...no up/down swing of more than 30 bi's over last 2800 games might argue otherwise tho...epic b/e stretches ftw.

200-330 December:

500+ December:

Good luck.

Good article on how to calculate hand combos and how blockers effect them.

My sleep schedule is LOLZ right now. Going to start session soon...Sickomcnasty (100/110 reg) coming over for epic grind session til the sun comes up.

My sleep schedule gets wayy off like once a month where I basically become nocturnal...I just take a day (usually Sunday my day off) and just stay up all night the night before until 10pm Sunday and reset my sleep schedule. It sucks, but it's better than being nocturnal yearround. I really prefer being up during the day.

As much money as SNE is, I def think a good sleep routine and social life is important. I dont recommend playing before noon or after midnight. On occasion, like Mon-Wed maybe a little before noon, but def never after Midnight.

Thanks for the link Hokie - I've been thinking about this recently.

Also know what your talking about with the sleep schedule being off. It happens to me on a regular basis (in fact stayed up all night and hoping to crash later tonight..... but UFC fight's tonight so donno).

Anyways - like your videos, and gl with the challenge (seriously - wishing gl).

Took Saturday off. Getting ready for an epic session now. I've been studying a lot the past few days...did a hand review session w MJW006, watched some Skates husng vids, worked on the hand combo/blocker stuff that I linked a few posts ago. I also got a membership at BlueFirePoker (Phil Galfond's site). I'm not really considering playing hu cash any time soon, but I think it's a great way to expand my thought process. I just have to be careful to not misapply deeper stack concepts to husng, but I think I can deal w that pretty easily. Watched a few vids so far, Jason Senti makes great vids. If you're a hu cash player I highly recommend this site. Additionally, I just love poker and the vids are really interesting to me.

I got a good workout in tonight. Feeling great about poker and life. I'm ready to do work.

Good luck.

phil has a 500/1k cap hucash video (vs a "fish") that is gold, it was an eye opening video for me

its incredible the amount of detail he goes through and should be very applicable to husngs

Blinds are 25/50, ur dealt AKo in the BB, effective stacks are 20BBs (1,000) , villain minraises to 100, what do u do? small 3Bet or Allin?

I feel like Jamming is too strong and gets him off all the hands ur ahead of therefore small 3Bet is better, but at the same time, 3Betting gets u in akward spots postflop OOP and theres so many flops ur gonna not like and u cant really CBet/Fold cuz u will lose about half ur stack if he jams on u.

Obv its player dependent, so against which types of players do u 3bet or jam or do u do the same move vs all any type of player.

most people see a shove 20 deep as so much weaker than a small 3bet. i think a shove gets called wider than a small 3bet gets shoved over or flatted (tho if they flat a lot its prob close).

the only people i dont jam against are people who have a very wide opening range and will flat 3bets at bad stacks (20 deep), if i have a leveling dynamic of small 3betting air at short stacks vs a thinking player i might rais 100 to like 235 to induce, thats about it. much deeper than 20 though i'm 3betting 100-250 mostly.

Have couple questions if you dont mind.

1)What type of sugar products is healthy to eat during the game and is it really important to eat it if you want to think clearly?I drink a lot of water too and found it very helps.
2)How important are daily naps if youre sleeping 5,30-6 hours?
3)Also was curious if you could make some short comments on my daily shedule and tell in general should I work more harder?

I don't really mean "sugars" (like a candy bar or something) when I say blood sugar level...just don't get overly hungry...whatever makes you feel comfortable. Drinking a lot of water is the nuts.

I've worked hard at figuring out what creates the best energy/focus levels for playing...it's all been trial and error. I've tried sooo many different daily routines, sleep schedules, nutrition, etc etc...I've just figured out what works best for ME. Everyone is different. I def can't just tell you what will work for you. Your body responds to things different than mine, your mind responds differently. I encourage you to start using trial and error to figure out what works best for you. Be creative.

I'm not an expert on nutrition, physiology, psychology, etc. I just have a lot of experience working with myself. I love the challenges of self-improvement and I love how poker inevitably forces most of us to face these challenges.

I played a long session tonight. 1-3 tabled over about 9 hours with about 1.5 hours of breaks. I was really excited to play after doing so much studying the past 48 hours. I really played my best the entire session, of course I made some mistakes, but I was very focused, confident, and managed my lobbies/game selection well. Just a really great session. I really need to worry less about playing 3-4 games at once to chase VPPS, and just focus on playing confident and crushing people. I've worked so hard the past 6 months on strategy...finally starting to feel like my A game is pretty damn tough.

Went 2-1 on BrynKenney in 1100s, 1-1 vs Ansky in 1100s (Dani Stern from 2m2m). I've been following both of these guys careers for a long time...pretty cool to play them. I think not so long ago when I played guys like this, I would feel totally outmatched just bc of who they are before the first hand is dealt. I felt very confident vs both.

December Totals

VPPs: 25,187 (1,703 behind pace for 70k)

100-330 graph

500+ graph ... lol setups jfc

Cleared a milestone bonus this month, won some 4 mans that I delete from HEM graphs, ran good when buying action...think I'm up about 9k this month so far (I don't count stake money for my monthly total profit). Pretty good month so far, hopefully I can get through this variance in the next few hundred games and really get things going. If I keep working smart it will work itself out eventually.

Good luck.

Nice to hear you are crushing.
One question: If you are tilting and still playing, do you get sometimes back on track and A game just for playing (winning some games) or you need usually to pause session?

It depends how tilted I am. Most of the time, I just take a 10 second break and take some deep breathes and then I'm usually good to go. If I'm really tilted, I'll take a break until I don't want to destroy my computer anymore . I've improved my B/C game in the past year as well, and I am a lot more comfortable continuing my session when I'm slightly off my A game. Obv our goal is to play A game 100% of the time, but that's just not realistic.
