Late start today. Going to get going around 630 tonight and play til 2amish.

This legislation stuff sucks, but I'm going to make the best of it whatever happens. Going to stick with the SNE grind for now, since there's a very good chance nothing even comes of this. If the bill passes, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to stay on Stars for the 15 month blackout period (I'll race you guys to Canada!).

It seems like every year or so there is some big legislation scare. Usually nothing happens, if something does happen we just adjust. UIGEA def seemed like the end of the world when it happened, and tho the games got tougher most of us did ok even still.

Not going to worry about it anymore until something official happens.

Hokie with your chase next year are you expecting to break even or positive enough to think you will make a profit without including rakeback.

I only ask because you are going to be playing so many games more than your used to.

Just went 3-1 in 1100s against a big fish. I was stalking the lobbies waiting for him to sit higher, unfortunately IceVenom sat 5500 and my fish sat him. Would've been fun to get that soft of a 5k.

Going to play a little more later. Light volume today...got some work to do the rest of this week to catch up. This legislation stuff threw me off my grind a bit past 24 hours.

Just wondering if you have any special treatment for body before the session?
Massage, carbs (for better thinking and which), fitness?

Didn't play much today. The 1100's, 5-6 games vs ricestud, and a few vs fish. Called it a night a little early bc I don't think there was a single fish playing 200+ and it seemed like every reg was on.

Excited to play a lot the next few days and stay on pace. About 60% of a day's volume behind pace, feel great tho, will catch up by the end of the week no problem.

I don't really have a particular routine. I always eat something right before I play...I think it's important to pay attention to your blood sugar level, I find it impossible play poker well when BSL is low. I drink a lot of water, but I do that all day.

I just think it's important to make sure that you don't have stressful things weighing on you in the back of your mind while you play. It could be minor things like doing laundry that's been sitting around for weeks, or major things like a relationship issue that needs to be dealt with...whatever the case. I just don't think you can use 100% of your mind to focus on poker with issues clogging up some % of your mind with anxiety. I def try to make sure I take care of things instead of letting them pile up and cause me anxiety.

Say this bill passes and online poker is regulated and 100% legal in the U.S.

Will you continue to play HU SNG's or switch to something that you could potentially make a lot more money at? Right now I'm playing low/mid stakes HU SNG's and I really feel that if this happens, cash would be the way to go.

In my head all I see is like 400 1/2 tables filled with fish.

I'm def open-minded to making a change. Some real idiots made big money pre-2006 in husngs tho (stevesbets woot), so if games softened up even halfway to that level again I'm sure the money that could be made would be pretty sick.

Was wondering if you ever had any problems getting to sleep after putting in a session, especially those sessions that end after midnight? I've always had trouble, even after winning sessions, trying to shut my brain off after playing and just relax.

Best of luck regardless, I'm a volume fish and hopefully this will motivate me.
smoke some marijuana buddy ! you can get a prescription for that these days.

worst. day. ever.

lost 5.2k to Ricestud over 48 games, avg stake like 380ish. lost almost every 500 we played. ran 3.4k below ev, got setup like a monster, and didnt play well (bc he is hard to play in some ways and bc i wanted to destroy everything in sight). i really don't think the day could have been scripted any worse in terms of poker.

too tilted to post much. will bounce back tomorrow though. just an unbelievably difficult day to stomach on top of all the variance ive dealt w the past few months. poker is so hard sometimes.

VPPs: 14,850 (1284 behind pace)

i expect to win vs him over the long term, he takes up an absurd amount of lobbies 200-500, tons of VPPs/hr.

Great attitude and one I am working on. Volume not short term.

Ricestud has good stats though.

ya. have a ton of respect for him. how he does vs a full range of opponents doesn't effect how he will do vs me tho...that's poker. i'll always run into the occasional epic fish whose style gives me a lot of trouble as well. i dunno it's one of those things where if i don't establish a comfortable edge eventually ill just move on...i like the competition too as frustrating as it can be at times. keeps poker interesting.

look at it this way, heads up poker is gold... you'll never find 2 opponents that play the same... which in my mind keeps it fun, and keeps you adjusting your game to opponents to play better

no other game atm thats as fun imo
