As far as HU sngs go do you think the fields are relatively comparable on FT/stars/Party/Absolute/Everest? Or do some sites seem to have significantly softer fields/ larger proportion of recreationnal players?
I was thinking that 2 waying 4mans is a good way to diminish variance and stay focused/disciplined?
As far as 3waying 4 mans go wouldnt the formula to calculate their profitability be quite simple?
To be breakeven before rakeback you would have to keep a a win:lose ratio of
Bi / [ (Bi/3) - (rake) ]: 1
This might be off btw.
GL again, and gratz on your dope month
ya that's really good that you have a winning player to learn from. my 2 friends phmerc and sickomcnasty were marginal winners/slight losers at the 11s a little over a year ago...now they are both beating 110/220. having a good winning player to learn from realllly speeds up the learning process. i made it without anyones help, but it took me so much longer than them to get consistently profitable.
absolute/everest will almost definitely be softer than stars/full tilt. i think they are great sites to build a roll on at low stakes, but they aren't very practical long term as there isnt much action at 100+.
an article from husng.com reviewing sites that offer husng:

2 waying 4 mans doesn't diminish variance as much as you'd think. it helps a little bit, but there are other factors to consider that might hurt your winrate: higher entitlement tilt bc u think u should win more frequently than is realistic, feeling extra pressure bc u r playing with someone elses money, having someone to complain about variance back and forth with isn't very productive.
the only reasons that i play 4 mans is that it keeps the grind interesting/mixes things up to play with someone else. i probably take a slight hit to my hourly during my 4 man sessions bc games are longer tho.
good luck
