I chuckled at the KK and legit lol'd at your last post before edit

I tend to auto pilot fold and miss those KQ spots in zoom for some reason, good job. AQ I think would be a slightly fps c/c. In the A4 spot I just shut down all emotions and click call every time. It seems to be working often enough.

Lol, I think I know what you mean

Yea the guy was 1 tabling from Norway and was 3/4bing relentlessly, so I'd thought I'd give him a taste of his own medicine

Not sure tbh, I don't have a daily schedule/routine as they just aren't for me. I play when I feel like it. I probably play around 4-5hrs a day including breaks (that's what PT4 logs) and then study the same amount (the 3 hrs I said that I studied each day was probably a bit too low).

---

Had my Aunt over this weekend so I was spending time with her so haven't been able to get much Poker in. Watched a film called Parental Guidance, pretty hilarious would def recommend.

Poker-wise things are going OK, results aren't good but I feel like I'm playing really well and just running into it a lil'. I'm currently racing to hit Supernova this month, currently at 6.5k VPP's. Should be able to get it so long as I don't doomswitch and have to drop down to 50z (plz no ***** jinx!). I've only ever been <=Gold Star so it'll be nice to knock out both Plat and Supernova in the same month, plus the extra rb ofc

Some hands:

1. Vs reg. I was so sure that I was good here, so when the 2 came ott, I was more annoyed than happy to be chopping w/ Ax. Solid read.

            ---

Lil night sesh to finish up for the day. Good volume and decentish play. First ~1700 or so hands was solid A-game with few mistakes, but a hand towards the end of my last session really got me mad (I'll post below). The mistake I made was literally in a notepad doc on the screen at the ***** time.

Right, enough moaning. Some more hands:

            1. The hand that got me mad. Vs reg. Not sure if turn stab is good, I just thought he'd have a lot of check folds here. On River I was so focused on him having Rivered a boat that I completely forgot about the nfd that I also lose to. Kill me.

                        1) Not sure about turn stab either, it depends on how wide he is betting flop, does he bet PP like TT-KK? If he does then turn stab is prob not that good. Kx could look like it has some SDV, but wouldn’t count on it. If we decide to bet, I’m not a fan of the turn sizing, As played otr with sizings and everything considered it’s 100% a bet/fold but I’d just set up turn to jam river myself. Would you bluff same sizing if river were a blank?

                        2) vs reg or rec? Either way I’d bet bigger otr with this hand, this sizing can often lead to “oh lol inducaments” thoughts. vs a jam tho I think this should be a fold, it's a weird line but we have to be right pretty often, and unless it’s a crazy guy we’re mostly not good here often enough.

Rest looks fine-ish, although not a huge fun of the 97hh.

h1 - I don't think he should be betting hands like TT-KK or too much other marginal stuff for 1/2p on flop, they seem much more like a 1/3 sizing if he wants to bet range, or close to it. If river were a blank then I think my specific hand is an easy shut down. Had I a bluff on that River that I'd choose a similar sizing as there's a lot of Ax that has to fold

h2 - it was vs a reg. If we fold River then we don't have a calling range as A8 and AK are essentially the same hand given the fact he should never do this with A9. Sizing is pretty whatever at River imo, lots of different sizings work well, I like this as I don't have any pure bluffs bar some bd hearts that missed.

I'm not sure if 97hh is just a call on flop, maybe it is.

                        ty for feedback mate

I think A6 and A7 are better calls than A8, probably close though

                        That's a really good point, I agree

Also... I'm gonna have to start exploit-folding KK/QQ/AKs pre

I just have such a hard time seeing A8 not losing 50bb+. People bluff rivers too little at 100z to begin with. When you add repping a somewhat fancy value line into the equation I think it's safe to just fold range.

That's my experience anyway. I haven't played more than 40k hands or so of 100z yet, but I have a broken fold button so I think I make up for it by seeing (and losing) a lot of showdowns.

IMO it's one of them spots where we'll never really know if it's ok or not as it's such a seldom occurrence with no real sample data to reference to. I'm usually pretty disciplined with folding and will make exploit folds if I'm sure villain has it more times than they are supposed to. But I just didn't give him credit in this spot, partly due to me stacking him an hour earlier and him not repping a whole lot. Oh well!

                        ---

Contradicting what I said earlier in this thread about me not having schedules, I guess I do have one, which is that Monday is my "scheduled" revision day.

I think I played well(ish) this week for the most part, but there were still a lot of silly mistakes that shouldn't have been made. When seeing this stuff I'm kinda divided between being pissed off at myself, yet also being glad that I'm finding so much to improve on. The worst thing would be to be losing/not winning a lot, and still not being able to find anything to improve on. Needless to say, there is never a day for me where I don't make plenty of mistakes

I made some goals for the week, 6 days total (Monday's off). They are as follows:
                        1) 9k hands
                        2) Review all >=5bb wins and losses for each day
                        3) 10/10 effort, aka no time wasting
                        4) No more mistakes made down to playing too fast

A bit of a low volume goal (1.5k hands a day), but it is just the two tables of ZOOM for me, and I want to try and make an effort to slow down my play. Plus I worked out that the 9k gets me to Supernova

                        Thanks for reading, and gl!
