Hey everyone, I'm Henry! After lurking around these forums for a while and thought It was time for me to create a thread wher I log my journey.

I'm going to use this thread for motivation and entertainment.

Currently residing at 100z and planning to study and grind hard, make it to midstakes and be successful with poker as a full time occupation.

Results will be posted regularly with HHs. Let the ride commence

First update of the year - Results since 10th January have been good. Made a bit prior to that, (untracked on laptop but nothing major, 1kish).

50z went well and the transition to 100z has been smooth. Will look to shoot 200z later this week as long as the next couple of days does not go too badly.

Will try to post some hands here and there and post consistently if there are enough lurkers.

Long awaited update and will try to make this thread more active especially if people are following/interested.

Don't plan on posting much strat but rather use this thread for motivation.

I was a breakeven reg amonst 200z end of last summer and took the rest of the year off to apply to graduate jobs and studied poker with my remaining time. After getting to some final stages for various banking and consulting positions but not landing anything concrete, I decided to implement all my studying and began playing again beginning of 2017.

I started at 50z with 2 tables and and transitioned to 100z fairly quickly. All my current volume is at 100z and mostly 4 tabling now. The only thing holding me back currently is volume which I aim to increase as of next month.

Future goals: More volume and eventually move up and be established at 200z

With regards to 200z I am in no rush because I plan on moving out at the end of summer, so steady, variance free income is more important to me right now. 200z regs also appear much tougher. I aim to be playing solely 200z+ by the end of the year.

I have definitely ran extremely hot this year but also think achieving high single digit winrates is definitely sustainable. I know other regs who have sustained high single digit winrates over larger samples so am confident a winrate above 6bb in this pool is achievable.

Results for the year mostly 50z at the beginning and 100z in the latter parts:

No such thing when it comes to poker.

Month has been pretty rough. Played quite poorly overall but ran terribly overall. Countless amounts of set over set, flush over flush in 3 bpots etc etc. Oh, and having AKvAA AIP several times does not help!

Not worried at all though. Seeing spots to improve and without the bad variance i'm not worried about future results. It's pretty inevitable given how the year has been so far!

Going to be grinding some tonight and this weekend but going to be preparing for a big job opportunity as I have an interview with a leading investment manager in London this upcoming tuesday for a data analyst position.

Will probably grind a session tonight after doing some research for the interview.
