My situation:
Hey everyone!
My name is Domagoj aka xLugia on stars. Im 21 y.o. player from Croatia.

My poker story:
I played micro/low stakes 45man sngs for last 2 years and now im moving to cash games with a goal of making 100k$ liferoll so im starting this thread to track progress and share some insights i get during this process.
Considering my previous results, most of my last 2 years i spent learning about mindset, neuroscience, introspecting and understanding what am i and what do i really want to do with my life, therefore poker wise i havent gone far, but considering how much i have evolved im feeling very stable and grounded now.

My lifetime sng results (Mostly 2014+)

Graph:

Previous Thread : http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...urney-1439957/

Cliffs:
* Bunch of unachieved / ambitious goals
* A lot of very helpful links about mindset, psychology and mental game in general

I will be playing Heads up cash games

After i get to ~ 100k liferoll, i will probably be moving to self-development activism, aiming to work on changing the global awareness / mindset of people which is the fundamental problem in the current human condition. There are already quite some teams doing that, Reg Charity being a nice example, so that is the main thing i want to dedicate my life to.

I will be updating this blog on a weekly basis

Goals

* “short term”: 60k € profits with CFP program
100k $ Liferoll (financial independence)

* long term: Making a difference in the world

There is a long way ahead, it is time to make the first step.

Weekly Update #0.5

Last week i entered CFP and spent most of it just setting up software, rakeback deals and learning a lot of strategy.

Im playing nl5 before my first coaching session and trying to practice everything i learned off-table, after that im probably starting with NL10/20

I only started playing last 2 days so i dont have a real volume to show off, but this week im definitely gonna put minimum 6hr/day of grind in + 4hr/day of study

What to expect from next week on:

* Weekly youtube video

* Weekly blog update with graph and some HH

Week #1 Update

My first week ended up quite good. I spend most of my time learning HU strategy and i think i have a solid grasp of what i should be doing right now. Also after my first coaching my results quickly improved so my main goal for now is to put in massive volume and move up to NL50 asap.

Graph:

Goals for the next week:

* 60 hours of playing
* 1 hr / day study
* Daily mindset routine
* Warmup before session

Update video:

p.s. garbage audio, will fix it for next week

Cheers and gl!

Week #2 Update

This week did not end as well as i planned to. Firstly i didnt put enough volume in and i have some mental game issues i gotta work on: even though i try to avoid super aggro guys sometimes they just sit me on few tables and i get in some tricky spots which end up costing me money and it gets me quite frustrated. Right now im gonna practice being more aware of my processes when i play so i dont get overwhelmed so quickly.

Progress:
* Hrs Played: 42/60 (70%)
* Strategy: 1hr/day (100%)
* Mental Game: 5/7 ( 70%)

Graph:

Goals for week #3:

♦Volume: 7k hands played
♦ Strategy: 1hr / day
♦ Be more self-aware while playing
♦ Practice mindfulness off table

Week #3 Update

This week was also not as close as i planned to, mainly because of some health issues which disabled me from playing. Today im feeling a bit better so im gonna focus on putting more volume in. I was worried a lot if im playing bad because of downswing but after coaching i had very positive feedback so im more confident in my game now.

Goals for the next week:

♦ 7k Hands Played

Thats basically all, i just need to put more volume in since my game seems very solid.
Thats all for this week, gl y’all.

Week #4 Update

Started doing much better this week. Im very focused on maxing profit right now so my game and table selection right now is really good, the only thing im missing is volume. I had some emotional issues which i had to work on a bit, usually im quite stable but this one started to be annoying af so im gonna watch out on my level of awareness throughout the day so i dont get distracted too much.

Goals for the next week:

♦ 10k Hands Played

No screwing around anymore, its time to put 100% of my focus on moving up asap and only way to do that is to put in as much volume as i can, so thats what im gonna focus on this week.

October review

Heya!
This was basically my first full month of CFP. The start didnt go as well as i expected, some because of variance, some standard lines issues / table selection. As month went on i focused more and more on figuring out how to adjust to every specific opponent and as soon as i started doing that my profits started going up. Right now im very confident at my game and after some coachings im sure i can beat higher stakes without much problems.

Graph:

November Goals:

1. Reach 1.5k winnings (move to intermediate)

Without rakeback im currently around ~ 280€ profit so i will need around 1.2k total profit in november which shouldnt be that hard.

2. Stick to new diet / exercise routine

This is the part of my life i neglected way too much. Last 2 days i did some research and now im changing my diet quite a bit to boost my energy levels and increase overall focus. Also im gonna do daily exercise every morning for atleast 10min so my mind and body can function properly.

Thats it for now, time to put in the hours and grind out of the micros.
Gl to everyone in november!

November / December Review

Hey guys, long time no see.

I’ve been slacking a lot with the blog. I’ve been through a lot last 2 months in terms of self-development and had a ton of insights into ego dynamics that governed my behavior last year so i had to rethink a lot of how im approaching life and see the real motivation behind my actions which were not always coming from my real beliefs but more primitive responses.

In terms of profit it was not the best either. I was sick for ~ 3 weeks which slowed down my progress a bunch + all the introspection i went through slowed me down even more in terms on volume but overall my awareness grew a lot and im seeing that i have to start taking responsibility for my actions and true potential i have and to use it in a more effective way.

Graph:

Most of my profits last months came from NL10. Now im playing exlucisvely nl25 and mixing NL50 here and there. These stakes seem much more aggressive so there is a lot of room for improvement which im focusing on the most right now.

2016 Plans

Like m1ndctrl said in his new video , we should make outrageous goals. I was always proponent of it even though it didnt always work out, and the reason was because i was doing it for the wrong reasons. Right now my vision and purpose are much bigger and much stronger and i am very confident in what i want to do with my life. There is still a lot of visualization work left since is easy to lose track of the whole long term vision when times get tough.

so the main goal is…
FINISH CFP IN 6 MONTHS

I believe it is possible. Its gonna push my limits to the max and force me to keep my vision very strong and clear which in the end is gonna make me grow a lot as a person.

Vision ( What ? )
My vision for this challenge is to put myself in financially stable situation so i can start working on raising global awareness by raising self-awareness and global perspective in individuals. There is a big team in Germany working on that which i want to join , but since i want to dedicate my life to it i need some financial stability first to not have to worry about bills and traveling expenses.

Purpose ( Why ? )
It is by far the most important thing i can do. I can go very deep into it here but i will leave that for later. The main reason why im doing it is because i feel that raising awareness is the most effective way to make myself and others grow the most , since thats what we are designed to do: grow and move forward.

Q1 ( Jan – Mar) – Learning Phase

♦ Move up the stakes (NL 50 -> NL 200)
♦ Beat NL200 for 5bb post rakeback
♦ Attend multiple coachings / week
♦ Watch videos
♦ Review hands / villains daily

Q2 (Apr – Jun) – Grinding Phase

♦ Mix NL 100 +
♦ Grind hard
♦ Finish CFP by the end of June

Thats it for now. Time to put thoughts into action. Happy new year to everyone and wish you all the best in 2016. Lets crush!
