Hello everyone again,

After successfully complelting my $10 challenge at .02/.04, I spent a few days thinking about my next (realistic) challenge. I thought about moving up to .05/.10 LHE but then I thought that might make me sick of hold'em.
As some of you know, I'm going to be going to Vegas at the end of the month for three days, and am going to be staying at The Orleans Hotel, which is one of the biggest poker rooms and is one of the few that spreads limit Omaha 8 or Better (LO8). I've played there before and the games are very profitable if you are careful with your game and hand selection. But I think I need to get back in practice, so I'm going to be playing the lowest online LO8 games around. So here is my plan for the next 20 days:

1. play only .02/.04 and .05/.10 LO8 on Stars.
2. play at least 10,000 hands
3. profit around $20 (hopefully)
4. continue to accumulate FPPs as I play
5. I will use Interstellar reward and other FPP bonus opportunities as I need them (right now I'm about 170 FPPs away from the next reward)

I'm hoping this will get me ready for the 4/8 game in Vegas. This can be a very profitable game but also a very frustrating game (losing with aces full can be brutal but happens). I have some other non-poker related goals I'll be working on as well, but I'll talk about those later.

I started last night and began with a good but meaningless start:

Hands: 20
Profit: +$0.66

(Honestly, I can't remember what happened, only that all my good luck occured at the .05/.10 tables. I know, small sample size.)

Also, what kind of roll are you going to take to Vegas to play the 4/8 games?

Yeah, I know
My family was visiting and so my poker time was kind of limited. I only had a few minutes and two of them were arguing/fighting about something. I had to break it up and would have done it sooner, but I said "not until my A2 wins at least one hand!"

Not quite sure. I'm taking about $1500 for the whole trip, but that includes nonpoker related activities. I have my ATM card, so I can grab an extra $300 per day if I need it. If I really run bad and lose more than $1000 I'll probably say f*** this s*** and quit.

Probably a good plan. I heard live poker is super soft though so hopefully this will not happen! I can't imagine what playing for $3 pots one day then $240 pots the next day would feel like though!

The players are about the same. The action is heavier, and it's nice to eat and drink for free that night when you're done playing. Bout the only difference.
