It is not pretty let's be honest. It covers my comeback to poker (after 5 weeks working 16 hour days on my student houses) where I broke even(ish) at NL10. Then I took my 6 buy-in shot at NL25 which started very well and I got up to around $850 before getting my butt handed to me on a plate culminating in me dropping back down to NL10. I posted 9 hands where I lost most of that money and some good players told me I played them ok and they were coolers. This was some comfort but my honest conclusion is that I am not ready for NL25 at this stage.

I am happy to play NL10 and try hard to get back to $750 to take another shot, I hope to not have to move down to NL5 obviously.

I will work hard as always but will cover this in the new Goals For October posts.

Got one already! My friend Sushiman sweated me for a session last night and it was awesome. Learned some good things about when I can call more often than I do postflop and also got a better feeling for stealing and isolating fish. Many, many things in fact!!

In hand 3 that you commented on folding pre is very bad, you should be calling much worse. x/r flop is probably bad because if someone can hand read they will realize you don't have sets and vs someone who can't they'll probably just station you down with top pair.

Definitely not lost confidence but thanks for your thoughts. What makes you say that anyway? Something I said or the graphs? I will reserve further comment until hearing your thoughts...

The fact that you don't wanna look at your graphs and be ashamed makes me think that. You have to face the results

Ah cool, I wondered if it was that! I was just trying to be amusing and it obviously did not work! If I was really ashamed/embarrassed I would not have posted them, I would have done what most losers do and say "I lost my database" hahahaha!!!

What I will say is that I am not too concerned about results. I know that I am not very good yet. I only just about beat NL10. So long as I use strict bankroll management and keep working this hard I am sure the financial side will take care of itself.

Which HUSNG are you playing?

I'm not any more amigo. Since I started playing at 04.30 hours I had to come back to 6max as there just was not any traffic on Stars or ipoker at that time. Also sometimes I need to leave tables quickly (young kids) and sng format is not good for this. I really liked HU though, I think it accelerates the learning process. Would like to play HU cash in future I think.

Just found this thread today. It's cool and has me thinking about my own game in the context of a busy life with work/kids.

How many tables do you tend to play?

Yeah, for sure it is tough. I guess most people in my situation would just play for fun or something but that is not in my make up. I see no reason to not go for being a big money earner in this game. I am realistic about what that takes so we will see if I have got it. I am confident.

At the moment I try to keep it to three tables so two to four I guess. I am just working on improving my basic understanding of the game so I think this is best. I have had months where I played 9-12 tables also though. I think that is a skill worth looking into but I think the way forward for me right now is getting into spots and finding out ranges and how to play against them. I try to keep posting hands, reviewing and talking to some poker friends.

Love the amount of hard work you're putting into this man. Would love to know some cliffs of what you play and how much you're up/down (hopefully up). Keep it up!
