Hi mate. That might work, yeah. Trouble is I really want to get this done today and years ago when I had to cut weight for weigh ins I always found hitting the rope and sweating it out had the best guarantee.

Kinda true about being 12.11 (especially as this last bit is just dehydration really) BUT one thing I have been DESPERATE to eradicate from my life over the past 10 years is QUITTING before the job gets done. That is REALLY IMPORTANT to me so it WILL be done.

Thanks for the input man.

This is going to take a while I reckon!

It WILL happen today.

I will post this and then put however many weigh-ins it takes all in one post later (unless someone has a question etc).

Hi mate, I am around 5'11". Weight is so personal. My partner in property portfolio is around 18 stone and 6'2" and has hardly got a pound of fat on him.

Kinda lolled at "lost half a stone without trying"! Most of us put pounds on when we are not trying so you are indeed blessed amigo!

I started this with a juice fast one year ago (in my blog post here) but you probably remember that because...

I think anything like this is good for a kick start and to instigate a reshape of habits but at the end of the day lasting change only comes with identity shifts imo.

The hot bath is a super efficient sweating method. BBC did an episode of extraordinary bodies on MMA weight cuts a few days ago which is on YouTube- might be worth checking.

I think this thread is testament enough to you not quitting!

Good luck with it

I did it amigos!!!

It took me 8 lots of 10 minute skips today to lose the last 2 pounds but I got there in the end.

Last skip and weigh was funny. Frustrating but funny (now)!

See it here...

Thanks for support.

Now it is my Zoom Challenge and my 100 Push Up Challenge only.

Holy crap, I am all for not quitting and motivation 100%, but there's a HUGE difference between making progress and banging your head against the wall.

The whole reasoning behind not quitting is that even in failure you should be learning and progressing but that clearly isn't happening, this isn't necessarily your fault because the work ethic is obviously there but you clearly weren't born for professional poker.

Just gonna say it even if it sounds mean but you haven't progressed at all since I first saw this 4 years ago. This is insane.

I'm glad that you have set a limit on the days spent until quitting but 500 days is still too long imo.

Gz on the weight loss.

4 years later and you're still playing NL10? Why don't you get some coaching mate?
I admire your hard work and dedication, also congrats on the weight loss!

But if you're still trying to beat NL10 after 4 years, you need some help.

Well, now this is still good news. If you would be in big red numbers .. that would be terrible. Anyway, so why don't you keep focusing on HU ?! And why are you trying to beat NL10 zoom - those tables are amongst the worst ones you can find on the internet

339 Days To Go

This is just 5 sessions over the last two weeks as I have had a family holiday and also a funeral for a close friend since I got back.

While I was on holiday I had chance to reflect on my poker journey and overall these last few months are disappointing if I look at results in money/bb's won only.

I have had quite a lot of coaching since November and my overall win rate has not improved.

HOWEVER... My coach has improved my SB win rate a lot - exactly what he set out to do. I cannot complain about it at all.

I think what has happened is that before I was just a super nit and I exploited fish/calling stations. I was hardly ever bluffing (one stab cbet and 3b bluff known folders etc) but value betting hard with the goods (though looking back now I could have bet bigger!).

Now I play wider ranges preflop (not by too much) and am in a lot more postflop situations that I am totally terrible at!

In most coaching sessions we have if we look at hands I played then my coach is basically swearing and totally exasperated at my play.

I really struggle to format thoughts about how to play my hands (never mind my range) and it seems I have some terrible thought processes (particularly postflop).

I know some of the reasons for my poor skills. Lack of intelligence, lack of common sense, not knowing what to work on, bad coaching in the past.

What I do have, however, is good self-discipline and perseverance. And a good coach.

Now it looks like we are going to spend a lot of time on my post flop thought process. Hopefully this will make a big difference over the next 2 or 3 months!

We need more volume. We need more hands to work with. We want to have a more accurate picture of win rates.

I am going to try and play 50,000 hands in May. I have no idea how the hell I am going to do that other than by sleeping less and taking less breaks etc. I will NOT play more than 2 tables.

I will post again ASAP with details of how I will get 50k hands and also some updates on my holiday and my fitness training...

Thanks for following amigos!

Holiday Photos

We went for one week to Dorset on the South Coast of England. England is not that warm in summer so in April it can be quite chilly!

We arrived early (before we could check in to our accommodation) so we went to the beach to wait. Of course the kids just HAD to go in the sea. It was freezing!!!!!!!!!!

Jackson stayed in for longer and of course got soaked through!

I decided to bury them to try to get them warmed up again!!!

But Jackson could not get warm so....

He nicked his mum's coat and Francesca's hat to get warm!!! Good look!?

Kids with new T-shirts and lanyards with the characters from the camp site all over them!

They got prizes for making Easter bonnets (hats) at one of the activity sessions. I helped with the sticky tape so rewarded myself with Guinness!!!

We spent one day at Seaton in Devon and went on the old trams there. Was glorious weather this day and we all had a fantastic time!

On the penultimate day it was great weather again so we went to Lyme Regis beach for a few hours...

(That's a Porsche 911 made out of sand you know!?)

Overall we had a fantastic time spending quality time all together. I am counting down the sleeps until our next vacation to Wales now. It is 118!!!

Hi! Could you give me some tips please? I do struggle to go lower even for one rep because I got one elbow that freaks out a bit but form I can definitely work on.

Plus I would think it is harder to do better form so improvements will be even greater.

Appreciate if you can help please.
