You can still take some shots, like bet the world cup etc; and play in some good PLO5k line ups or move up gradually to high stakes but you will have the moniez all the time.

Just out of curiosity, Urubu. I love the vamooo attitude :p

be a solid grinder sounds a nice plan. i think thats what im going to do this year and next year.

i think plo online is going to be dead very soon , and won't be able to play lots of tables... the diference between when i started at plo6max (in 2012) to today is huge... 1year and half games got a lot worse, and since zoom was introduced, regular tables aren't good.

seems the future is, play zoom or dont play online poker... and i dont like zoom.

so i think im going to make a plan to play max i can in next 2years.

Urubu, with this pessimistic view on the future of Omaha, you recommend that someone start the grind today? I'm doing a live migration (holdem) to online (PLO) and scared me with this post lol

+1 to your RB mentality. Crushinating pretty hard it seems, are you playing higher than 1/2?

Re: VvamooooooO 14 - Omaha

wicketh, i said wrong.. .i dont think online plo will be dead , but i mean, won't be able to grind lots of tables and win nice money. poker never will be dead, but maybe gets a lot worse/harder to make money.

i dont recommend someone start playing poker today because tendencies aren't good. and we dont have any idea about what is coming in the next 5-10years... too many european markets getting separeted... italy, france, spain, russian, and i think others are going to get separeted too. maybe usa market is back, maybe something happens... i have no idea, im just guessing, but my opinion is the future isn't good.

you probably heard some big names in brazil saying that poker is getting bigger and bigger, that poker action increase a lot, but thats not true. its the oposite.

compare when i started plo 6max (2012) with today... 2/4 up to 50/100 games are a lot worse. plus zoom just killed normal tables at midstakes. some people at plo forum are saying zoom make a good future for plo online, but i dont think that...

last weeks only 1/2 and some 0.5/1 when 1/2 action is slow. i reach 200k hands this month, will post graph per stake.

Re: VvamooooooO 14 - Omaha

Dead is relative, I'm sure in 2 years games will be relatively dead compared to now just as they are compared to 2 years ago.

It's the same as anything else, more learning resources etc = harder games. Basically, it'll just be the cream rising to then top, at least with ******s to online poker. Live is a different story.

hit 200k hands this month, so stake is end and from now im on my own again. last 50k hands wasn't good, only 3k profit... =/

actually i played 2k more hands than the deal because in the last session i had one table w the biggest fish ever... when he busted, i closed all tables. by the way, it was a really sick crazy fish.. i was card dead at worst seat of table, so i couldnt get too much...

few hands w him:

(his play is fine at normal table, but against 100vpip whale, obvious is terrible)

Re: VvamooooooO 14 - Omaha

the month is end, stake is end... time to quick a review about my month.

i think overall i played good, with some great sessions, but i couldnt be regular... some v good sessions mixed with really bad sessions... thats why i rate my play as 6.5/10. im a bit disapointed w results money wise because i expected to win around 50k at tables over 200k hands, but maybe i was being too optimisct.

im happy w my 6handed game and how much i improved my mindset this month, it was by far the biggest improvement i had at poker lately. thanks for my backer, that gave solid advice in this aspect.

its curious that i played my best poker while running terrible and just few days after burning money tilted at 2/4 (around hand 90k+ at month graph)

Really strong month urubu, gl now that you're back on your own. Considering that you've had to mix in a bunch of .5/1 and your main stake has been 1/2 I wouldn't be too hard on yaself as $50k would have been obscenely sick!!

I think you are one of the few players who would benefit from staying backed since it would prevent you to spew your own money like you did in the past.

Great job Urubu! Not that there was any doubt you would crush. I do have to mention that I agree with the point the poster above is making. I don't think you should stay backed forever. But another couple months with maybe a better cut to ingrain some of the improvements you made in fighting your bad habits might be better for your long term bank account, despite it hurting you a bit in the short term.

Either way great job and best of luck!

Crazy to think you could make 300K pre rake back at 1/2PLO is you averaged that every month. Plus SNE.
