Quit my 9 year dealing job to grind Quit my 9 year dealing job to grind

Three weeks ago I quit my job dealing at a large South Florida casino in order to play poker full time. I've been a dealer since 2005 when I was 19 years old. After having a lot of tournament success the last couple years, I've built my reputation well enough to give myself the confidence I've needed to give this a shot full time.

I'm going to be fully staked for all cash games and tourney play ( separately).

I have a wife and a daughter. My wife is a poker dealer as well and the plan is for her to keep us afloat while I try to book some wins and hopefully the occasional huge score.

GOALS:

-Have at least a $50/hr win rate at 2/5NL for the year
-Have at least a $100/hr win rate at 5/10NL for the year
-Have success in tournaments
-Catch up on a lot of debt accumulated by poorly balancing a real job with a theoretical job

Tonight was a really interesting night because I went and played a $350/300k gtd at my casino I just quit. It was my first time back and a lot of the regulars gave me crazy looks and I had to answer a lot of questions.

Unfortunately busted 2 bullets in this tourney, will play again later in the weekend.

MTT
0-2
-$700 makeup

GL!

Out of curiousity why are you choosing to stake opposed to using your own BR?

GL in your new journey! Could you share some of ur tourney success in the past? And ur current win rate?

You probably decide to pursue this based on the answers to my questions, right?

Will follow...

Support my family and can't comfortably play the stakes I want on my own currently.

Fired another MTT bullet into a $350/300k and bricked. 0-3 in that one with one more shot tomorrow night.
$870 winner in a 1.5 hour 2/5 session though felt nice
