Re: True Life: I Want To Be The Next Livb ($1k ---> $10k)

Meh, story of my last 200 games in one hand, the very first hand of the match:

Full Tilt Poker $33 + $1.50 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 2 players - View hand 1044848
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BB: t1500 50 BBs
Hero (BTN/SB): t1500 50 BBs

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BTN/SB with A K
Hero raises to t90, BB raises to t1500 all in, Hero calls t1410 all in

Flop: (t3000) T 7 3 (2 players - 2 are all in)

Turn: (t3000) 5 (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t3000) 2 (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t3000
BB shows 2 K (a pair of Twos)
Hero shows A K (Ace King high)
BB wins t3000

The story? Fish does something idiotic, idiotic play wins him the game

BR is slightly above 3.3k -- if I ran neutral EV or above, it could easily be above 4k right now (thanks to horrendous PLO luck as well)

You?

fml, still running obscenely under ev--thankfully br not in terrible shape (3.5k) and doing a surprisingly good job not tilting, but....this is just ridiculous, go into every 80-20 now thinking I can't win

I know how that feels and it sucks big time. It can really affect you game for the day, making you much more passive and scared of setups etc... Best thing to do is take some time off but it's really hard to do.

EV graph since the downswing began (cliffs: running almost $500 below EV over my last 250ish games)--I'm running at least as bad in PLO but haven't run those #s:

Re: True Life: I Want To Be The Next Livb ($1k ---> $10k)

somehow I managed to not erupt after this hand and I went on to win the match--I knew the guy would make a big bet on the river with a wide range (metagame reasons) and was waiting to check-raise:

Full Tilt Poker $33 + $1.50 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t20/t40 Blinds - 2 players - View hand 1047346
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BTN/SB: t1030 25.75 BBs
Hero (BB): t1970 49.25 BBs

Pre Flop: (t60) Hero is BB with 7 7
BTN/SB calls t20, Hero checks

Flop: (t80) 6 7 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB checks

Turn: (t80) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets t40, BTN/SB calls t40

River: (t160) T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t950 all in, Hero calls t950

Re: True Life: I Want To Be The Next Livb ($1k ---> $10k)

The third game in the above span, btw, very first hand, I c/r shoved with bottom pair + flush draw (prolly not how I would play it normally, but by this point tilt was starting to crack me), get called by a bare flush draw, and the flush draw hit (on the river ofc after a blank fired on the turn). Same story for a week--running just supernaturally bad. I melted down and started tiltshoving every hand against random opponents, quickly lost 4 buyins that way (ofc, I never sucked out on anyone, b/c I'm incapable of sucking out if I'm on tilt). Banned myself for the next 12 hours to prevent further meltdown, but not before going from my peak of $3.7k to just over $3.4k. FML, would be so nice if I didn't run in the ****ing bottom 1% of luck

Re: True Life: I Want To Be The Next Livb ($1k ---> $10k)

Pretty good day after a wild night last night that saw me drop $400 quickly on tilt but then rebound to only $150 down--made about $170 tonight. Thought I played pretty well, was very happy to run well, too.

BR tomorrow once I get my rakeback: 3.7k, yet again

lol, you left out my comment in chat "do you ever have anything here?" right before I folded--iirc 8 hi was the best hand

GGs--you were the opponent I played the most spewy against last night. To answer your question, I play 33s when starting the evening or when I'm tilted/about to finish--in this case, both of those last two conditions applied. Also, I'd appreciate my SN not getting disclosed--going to request that a mod edit your post

Another wild night--started playing terribly b/c I was tired and distracted, dropped to $3.1k ($350 loss), then got my focus back and rebounded to get all the way back to almost $3.6k ~$110 profit for the night

-I skimmed through first few pages and very interested to see your progress as I have similar goals and I play husngs also among other games. Will read thread later and keep up with your experiences.
-I have a huge tilt problem, and right now I am really trying to nib it in the bud, bc I dont want to make it to a 10k Br or something big and then tilt it all away.
-Good luck

Played kara again tonight...what...4 games? 5?

Always a good time although like last time I ran a bit bad and he made a couple great calls in spots which is basically gg for me. Always fun to play although it would be nice if our matches weren't a bankwire from my acc to his

GL, will keep following and for sure will play you again sometime. Maybe.

Thanks for the games--as always, the games were a lot of fun with active chat, and, also as always, I ran like god against you. Plz keep playing me--you're one of two people I run well against.

BR UPDATE: a smidgeon above $3.6k--would be $3.7k if my nuts with flush redraw in PLO cash had held up aiof, oh well, used to it by now
