Thanks, dunce--played a few matches at the 55s tonight and went 4-2, ended up finishing 12-3 for the day for a profit of $291.50. For the next couple of days I'll probably start at the 33s and move up if I feel like I'm playing my A-game.

BR UPDATE: $3.5kish (Omaha cash has dragged it down a little)

11-5 for a profit of ~$175 today, felt pretty good though maybe not as focused as the last couple of days (probably b/c I was playing Omaha on the side and I usually play only one table of headsup)

However, lost about $75 playing Omaha cash (horrendous luck today in Omaha, glad it wasn't worse)

Wild night, too exhausted to type up all of the details but here are the cliffs: Started evening by 4 tabling PLO50, lost close to $200 through running horrendously bad and then tilting. Quit PLO, started playing HU sngs, started off well but then started to run bad, was ready to quit when I decided to play 1 or 2 more matches at lower stakes (33s). I sat someone I used to play all the time during my tilt days (i.e., two weeks ago). We got into a chat pissing contest and he challenged me to play 55s. I agreed, then proceeded to win all 6 of our matches before quitting to go to bed. Truth be told, after running bad earlier, I ran like god during these matches and was the beneficiary of a couple of coolers.

Made roughly $200 tonight total, so must have made around ~$400 playing the hu sngs. Here's my graph for the last 7 days, pretty insane:

BR UPDATE: $3.7k+

FML, the whole run bad ---> tilt cycle is playing out. Down $600 for the weekend, after playing my C+ game pretty much throughout. BR $3.2K. MUST NOT TILT. On the bright side, made $650 playing live this weekend

Thanks a lot, System--head just wasn't in it for most of the weekend, even though all I wanted to do was play. The litany of bad beats definitely didn't help, though I inflicted some myself--the variance was infinitely more rocky than it was during my previous 300 games. Thankfully, I refound my groove by the end of the weekend.

By the way you mention 1400FTPs in a day. I'm wondering how many tables are you playing?

1400 in a day is really atypical for me. Right now, my Black Card rolling average is ~290/day. I work long hours at my dayjob, so I'm pretty happy if I can play 300 on a regular day.

If I'm playing hu sngs, I play only one hu sng table 99% of the time (the 1% of the time is when I'm on megatilt). Because I like to pay attention to every minute detail and stay focused, I'm not capable of playing more than one at a time. Also, I don't have as much of a "fixed system"--I like to make a lot of adjustments over time depending on how my opponent is playing, and that's way more difficult if I'm playing two opponents headsup at once. However, I do occasionally play one or two tournament or cash tables on the side while playing a hu sng--those tend not to interference with my concentration nearly as much.

When I'm not playing hu sngs, I play either two Rush cash tables or three or four non-Rush cash tables. If I'm playing tournaments, I can play as many as four at a time.

I play on a laptop, so it'd be pretty difficult to play more than four tables even if I wanted to

I'm playing only one table at HU SNG's too, can't handle more, works best for me.

I'm making 300FTP's on a good day, 200 Iron points.

CHALLENGE UPDATE: I have 71 days to make $6400. That means I have to average profits of ~$90/day until February 1, assuming I play every day--tough, but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibibility, especially if I become a 110s reg, which I'll begin experimenting with WHEN (not if) I hit $6k. The plan for the short term future is to start off playing 33s, and, if I feel like I'm playing well, bump up to $55s.

To anyone wondering, yes, I do err on the side of being a bankroll nit, but it's mostly because I feel like I'm a lot less prone to tilt if losing seems like it has a negligible impact on my bankroll. The magic # for me seems to be ~55-60 buyins.

HOLY ****, RAN UNGODLY BAD TONIGHT...but, mostly managed to avoid tilt. But HOLY **** did I run terribly. I've never gotten punished more for getting it in good in my life. In all honesty, I had to have lost at least 2/3 of the time I got it in as a 70+% favorite, and it happened a lot of times. I think I went something like 1-for-9 getting it in with a better ace preflop, not even exaggerating. Just ****ing kill me. On the bright side (I guess), lost only $80 tonight

AND dropped another $200 for no good reason continuing to play on tilt. bad night
