Also, this month was the first month I didn't set a profit goal, and yet I had the best monthly profit so far, which is €1850

In this tournament, I late registered at the last second.

In 5 minutes, I was at the top 3 spot with a deep stack.

At 15 minutes, right after the add-ons were made, I got crushed with my OESD + Flush Draw + 2 Over Card hand and went down to only 10BB.

At 16 minutes, I was further down at 2BB...

Was it time to quit this tournament and move on?

No!

I didn't give up and with some luck I first went up to 5BB, then to 10BB, then to 30BB...

Before you know it, 3 more hours had passed and I was sitting at the final table.

After a long final table battle, I ended up at the #4th spot because of some bad beats. Yet I was not sorry about it, because I knew that I did give some badbeats of my own to get there. And I shipped some €300 home.

To cut a long story short:
A chip and a chair -and some luck- is really enough to win sometimes, never give up!

The streak is still on!
Another day, another final table.
Though I have made a huge mistake of calling a 3-bet all-in from the big stack.
He had 33 while I had JJ, he flopped a set and won.
Although it was a bad beat, it was a very vey awful call ICMwise...
There were 2 short stacks, pending elimination in a few hands.
My excuse is 14 hours of play made this old guy tired

Mistake!

I normally play at €5-10 tournaments and the occasional €22 when I'm in profit that week.
But now, I just won a ticket to a €110 tournament. Let's see what I can do in the upcoming weeks.
Right now, I gotta pack, as I'm traveling to Malta for the MPN poker tournament.
Drop me a line if you will be there too.

Cheers!

Started but haven't finished yet. Alex's poker content is always tight, I strongly recommend him as a coach too.

This month was even more profitable for me pokerwise. Aside from my live winnings, I managed to ship a net profit of €3.694,75!

I'm hoping that these are all product of my hard work and not me being a fish on a heater.

Hey takeitAll,
Glad to hear we are in a similar boat, good luck with your endeavor.
I'm playing at the MPN network mostly, and PS.

Working hard really pays in poker, so don't give up, just study more.

Thanx onepizzaplz!
After my live win though, I've been losing my last 12 online tournaments, going deep on almost all, being the bubble boi on 5 of them.
I guess, I was jinxed by my live opponents

I'll recover, I always do

I'm determined to become a semi-pro at this and hopefully will continue to improve my game by studying and doing some deliberate practice.

Now, when I enter a tournament, I am not feeling afraid or intimidated by my opponents. My confidence has built up, and every time I play at a tournament, less and less situations arise in which I don't know exactly what to do.

Let's do it!

Well, I played in the €110 online tourney which I had won a ticket to enter.

The good news is, I played my same game which I play on €5 and €10 tournaments, and ended at #9 spot to win €265. I didn't feel weird playing with the regulars at that level, nor did I find myself in spots that I didn't know what to do.

The bad news is, I ended up at #9 spot after a 1 hour final table bubble.
UTG raised 2x, I called from MP with 77, BB went all-in with less than 10k of my chipstack, the original raiser folded. I would fold if he called but I decided to call to take my chances with my 77. The other guy had 44 and flopped a set and I lost.
Next hand I had KTs went all-in, got isolated by A6o, nothing hit both of us on the board and it was game over for me.

I'm not rolled to regularly play €110 tournaments -yet- though I will make a research on the EV of satelliting into those tournaments vs trying to take shots with the money I make from €10 tournaments directly -any help here is appreciated.

Ship it!

Well to be properly rolled for €100 games you would need €15-20k maybe slightly less if you one or two tabled them and they're small fields.
You seem pretty consistent at the level you're at (<€20) but with higher buyins come better players and more variance.

Satelliting in is probably the way to go if you'd like to play more of them.
