Another €50 win. Thought I was gonna double up, but got my ass handed back to me on the river with a bad beat...

By the way, I wish you all a merry Christmas if you are celebrating it.

    Cheers!

Also I hadn't posted a graph so far, now I am for xmas' sake.

This is my results graph from SharkScope, but my actual profits are lower because:
    1. SharkScope does not correctly track rebuys and add-ons.
    2. I have other accounts on other networks that are losing.

Anyhow, it's still pretty good if you ask me with just over 350 tournaments in 3.5 months.

I normally play tournaments between €5 to €10.
Once I make a withdrawal, I'm entitled to take a shot at a €20 tournament.

Well, this month, things were going smoothly and I did take my shot tonight.
I made it to the final table, and even became the chip leader at some point.
However, tiredness and time zone difference kicked in, and I couldn't play my A game. Still, I was doing pretty good, until JJ showed up in my hand. The chip leader 3x raised on the button before me, and it was an easy shove for me...

Until I saw that I shove into pocket Aces!

So I busted out at the 6th place winning over €600. But I could win €3.000 tonight, so I'm not feeling that great. Still it was a success, wasn't it bros?

I'm either on a sick heater or finally my hard work and dedication is beginning to pay off or both.

Nevertheless, I shipped another 3rd place in for €85!

I feel like I have some improvement points on the final table, yet I feel much more comfortable when I am seated at one compared to the ones a couple of months ago.

How many tournaments do you play in a day? Do you play until you win or lose a certain amount?

Anything between 1 to 10 tournaments, depending on my daily schedule and level of tiredness.

I tend to play 1 or 2 tournaments at a time to focus more, which helps me increase my ROI% (return on investment).

I don't have a daily set limit for winning or losing in terms of money. And I don't recommend anyone to set such a limit since tournaments are inherently more variance prone.

Also, I try to have a 50-50% balance between playing and studying.

    What can I say?

It has been an a*hole of a year. With lots of deaths and attacks in this part of the world. And entering 2017 with an ISIS attack in Istanbul didn't help at all.
I don't see 2017 will be any better than 2016, things just might even get worse.
I'm beginning to think of poker as a way to haul my family away from this hell hole called middle east. Well, if I ever get that successful.

    Happy new year.

    December 2016 Goals, Debriefing:

    Training First:
[X] Read the notes you have taken so far from training sessions

[\] Choose 3 actions from each section (1. Little Green Book, 2. Poker Tells 3. WSOP Academy First 3 Chapters) and apply them to your game from those notes
Done it only for Phil Gordon's Green Book. Should it for the rest too.

[X] Watch 3 more chapters from WSOP Academy and take notes

[\] Read Negraunu's book and take notes
Read it, but didn't take notes yet, will do.

[X] Listen to Fitzgerald's oneouter.com podcasts while commuting to work
Yes, this was a win for me definitely. I am thinking of poker while drinking, eating, walking, driving and breathing now!

[X] Play 2 tournaments calculating exact odds each hand you play

    Teaching Second:
[X] Do a video on opening hand ranges in Turkish
I did, and people seem to have liked it so far and are demanding a second one, which is about to come soon.
If you wish to watch the first video -it is in Turkish- you can visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdozV8rCnss

    Financials in The Bottomline:
[X] Show a monthly net profit of €1.000 from online tournaments
Oh yes, nailed it this month! €1.012,66 to be exact

[X] Play at a live tournament

[ ] Finish ITM in the live tournament
Didn't happen, yet I won more than the entry fees for the tournaments from live cash tables in the UK

    Personal Life Goals:
    [ ] Exercise -any kind- 3 days a week
    Failed.

    [ ] Lose 5 kilograms
Failed, miserably. I even gained a few kilograms!

    [X] Don't start smoking
Still, I got this huge win for me too

    Lock'n Load!

Thanx man, have a great year for yourself too!

I don't know about the year, though today was a sh*tty day at work. Which caused me to burn €100 playing like a sperm whale at the tournaments.

Anyway, I'm putting in the hours to study poker and each day I learn something new, or improve on some concepts. The problem is, I do not have a fixed curriculum, which I'm used to having after finishing a couple of universities.

However, the method I use is like the "immersion technique" they use when teaching a new foreign language. It's like you being taken from your surroundings and put to live in that foreign country, where nobody understands your language, and you don't understand theirs.

But in time, you learn the words used daily, like bread, train, house, money, etc. Then one day you find yourself forming broken sentences. And given time, you speak like a native -maybe with an accent- yet that accent is kind of intriguing to the people you meet, rather than disturbing

At least, that's what I hope is happening now.
