At 1am, I spent 30 mins of trying to find my way out of the super maze known as the Palazzo. Once I found my way out, i then ventured a couple blocks down to my hotel for some much needed zzzz.

Now at 1:30a, i just pulled a charlie horse in my leg trying to pry these bed sheets loose. It felt like I was pushing a ton of force upwards w my left leg. **The ninja maid here likes to tuck em TIGHT!

No worries, I'll b aight.

Hi I am a silent lurker and enjoying this thread. Was it this thread where u have recommended some books that poker players should read? That is not poker strategy. I peeked through the the thread and can't find any. Any suggestions would be great thanks in advance. And also keep crushing!!

When you need a break from the grind/rat maze known as vegas, consider doing a groupon deal at one of the spa's around town. You can typically find midweek deals for 50-75% off and it is well worth the 30-50$ with tip for an hour of tranquility to gather your thoughts, refresh with fruit, fancy spa water, steam room access, sauna, etc and a cute latina woman rubbing out knots in the neck isnt too bad either. Gl on the last few days of the trip

Someone once pm'd me about some books, but I cdnt find the message. I did a little digging around in the thread, and also had trouble finding anything relating to books. I know at one time it was discussed briefly...mayb around late 2013????
I'm not much of a reader, and haven't read any poker books.
Mayb others can help on this.
Glad u enjoy the thread.

I see how u r...wait and tell me this on my last day. Leaving tomorrow afternooon, and just got on here and saw this. Looks like I won't have time for the spa treatment this time around, but it does sound like something I will do in the Vegas future.

Currently: grinding some 1/3nl action while I'm waiting for a 2/5nl seat at the Wynn. It's my 2nd sesh of the day.
-$194 playing 5/10nl earlier. It wasn't too bad considering I had KK twice and Aces once, and lost 2 of those for lots.

Much surprised the 10/20nl has only gone once (mayb twice) since I been here. It didn't see it go anywhere today. Although, I did see a 20/40nl at the B...they just skipped right over 10/20nl. It went 5/10 to 20/40.

Overall, the trip has a success. Gonna grind one more day tomorrow, and then heading home. Looking forward to seeing my fam, and squeezing all my girls.

I love Vegas!!

Oh, btw, the Vlog is looking like its gonna be a 20 minuter.
Is that too long for a vlog? Should I break it up in 2 ten minute parts?
Any advice wd help. Thanks

Going to Vegas first time in march. Where do u recommend to play. I have heard venetian or the taj. I usually play 1.2nl or Ms at hsi, which I know run like 2/5 games. I would like to play 5/10 nl or 20/40 limit

It all depends on what you like for atmosphere

Bellagio Aria Caesar Wynn Venetian are nice and have players with money

Ballys Flamingo Harris aren't as nice inside and people there may be more on a budget

It's a big difference as games may be juicier at the first list of places but you may have to face slightly better competition

Just my personal opinion based on my times there

I believe The Wynn has the biggest max buy on the 1/3, 2/5, & 5/10 than any other casino on the strip. The 2/5 at The Wynn has the same max buy as the 5/10nl at the Bellagio...$1500. I played it a few times, and I thought it had a real nice mix of rec, fish, semi pros, pros. The 5/10 at the Wynn is uncapped.
I saw the 20/40 limit game that u r inquiring about run almost everyday at the Bellagio. I didn't see much anywhere else.
* I'm def no expert at this after 8 days in Vegas. This is just from what I seen.

I thoroughly enjoyed the art work at The Wynn, and the art galleries at the Palazzo. But I'm kind of an art geek.
Your first time coming to Vegas... just try to soak it in. Lots to do around every corner.
Did I mention I'm a sucker for the fountain at the B, street performers, and erupting volcanoes.
Anyways, have fun on your trip in March, and feel free to report back w your highlights. Best of luck @raidersfan502

_________

Last night was kind of sad for me as my last night in Vegas. No more seeing the bright lights of the strip until next time.

Got up early today, to try to get in whatever I can. Flight leaves 3:30p, and the biggest gamble of my trip is opting for the latest shuttle possible to the airport. I called yesterday to make those arrangements, and the lady asked what time my flight was, and she said, "Ok we will b there at 12:30p to pick u up." I said, "Can I get something later?" She insisted 12:30 is best because we may hv other stops on the strip and never know what to expect w traffic. I'm quickly thinking that I don't have any bags to check at the airport, and hv the Allegiant app on my iPhone where I already checked in for my departure, so I rolled the dice, and told the nice lady, "I'll take the 2p shuttle option." #wegamble

Take Uber or a taxi, will cost a bit more, but you will get to your terminal quickly. Last minute play ftw. GL.

Actually, both Uber and Lyft have been running for a couple of months now. Great alternative to the cabs at about 1/2 the price!

Make it to the Airport??
Yes I made it to the airport on time. Had to do some vigorous speed walking, but got to the gate as patrons were boarding.

Profit??
Ended the trip somewhere between 2100-2200 in the black. After day 2, I was up about 2k, so pretty much break even from days 3-8. Took a big loss on day 3 of -1191, and fought back a couple days to recoup. Then won a little, lost a little.

2016 goals?
None in place for this year. I been going hard for a few years, so this year I just wanna go w the flow and not worry about anything. #findzen.
I will def keep showing up to the poker room, putting in the work, but may not b able to log the hours I hv logged in the past. #lifebalance

It's worth noting, if u hv a Diamond card it helps tremendously w the food savings n Vegas! I took advantage of the Diamond Lounge while I was here and pretty much ate for free the whole time. Harrahs and Caesars across the street both had a nice spread of food, and free adult beverages in the lounge.

Best part of the trip has yet to come...squeezing my girls when I arrive.

<••ok, so when u go out for that milk and bread, u might as well head down aisle 5 and grab 2 bags of generic popcorn for a generic Vlog.••>

Cool i definitely will report back. I am going to tampa next week for a family thing but should be able to get a few days in at the hard rock. And while.in vegas i should have 3 to 4 solid days of play to get in in between all the stuff i have got to do. I think i will split my time between the wynn the belagio and the venetian from what i have heard. Like.i said i have never been to vegas but i heard someone say something about the trump taj, maybe they were goofing with me but i hav no experience there but looking to start making regular trips every 2 to 3 months cause i love playing new places and different people.

Another hour until the homefront.

@matchbox gd to hear. Part one is uploaded, and will b made public once I get part 2 done. Based on all the feedback to my question of having either one long 20 minute vlog, or break it up into 2 ten minutes vlogs, I went w the latter.

If u want to b able to view the Vegas Vlog when it's ready, subscribe here: http://www.youtube.com/c/rayzrayl

Took today off to get caught up on laundry, bills, errands, etc.

Don't think he's uploaded it yet, just that if you're subscribed you get an email notification or something when it does.
