You can be making more money playing higher elsewhere.

No pressure yet as a full time pro and no apartment money.
Are you still thinking about a start up business with your money from the sale?

Someone else said similar in UTube comments.

So far so good.
Did I say that? I have already put all the money to use. Will follow up in a vlog somewhere towards end of year.

Played a short 3 hr sesh today.
100hrs this month gets me in a free roll where $500 gets awarded to top 20 players. I usually average around 100hrs so that won't b a prob.
Run gd continues.

Good to follow a nice likeable guy beating live poker for dece money. Enjoy your updates man and always rooting for you.

Just out of curiosity what made you decide to sell the melody?

In a weird way if you make the top 20 I think this should go towards the $40K. I'm guessing promo money discussion was discussed. I think unless it's like a huge BBJP promo winnings should count.

Thanks. Sometimes i wonder if I'm coming off a little too proud. But, i just try to do my best in keeping this thread real, transparent, organic, and moving along. I gave my word to commit to this thread til the end of this challenge, and I take it seriously. This thread keeps me hungry, so I thank u guys for the motivation.

As far as The Melody...
To put in poker terms...I feel i ran way over ev w The Melody, and wanted out before i had some major problems. Even though it was generating money for me, I also wanted to change. Now w the sell, grouped w poker/stocks, I may be able to do something else at the end of the year.
I'm always trying to do my best to get me to the next level in life as soon a possible, so i can retire young. Always taking steps to put me in better spot in the future.

U r correct sir. It wd count
I feel it is a break even type of thing over the long term. $1 goes to the promo fund on every $10+ pot. So i had my fair share go into the fund.

Imho i don't think it should count since it's a freeroll tourney and not 1/2.

Definitely counts. He paid tall cash In the drop. He put in the hours...100% counts. It's part of the whole. It can't not be.

I believe that the money should count towards the challenge. When you look at the totality of your results, any money that you make as a result of playing live 1/2NL should count towards your bankroll challenge. As long as you annotate things properly, the feasibility of your challenge for others, and yourself in the future, can always be analyzed further. Any money that you win/receive as a result of playing 1/2NL is a function of your play at that level and should be reflected in the 40K challenge. Of course, a breakdown showing results w/ bonus money, and without could always be presented.

Just my two cents, and I hope that my thoughts weren't too unintelligible.Keep up the good work!

The funding for the promo comes out of your bottom line, benefits from that funding should count

Here again are the guidelines for the $40K 1/2nl Challenge:

2017 $40K CHALLENGE

The rules are simple:
• Try to make $40,000 in 2017 playing ONLY nl games where sb is $1 and bb is $2. This includes; 1/2nl and 1/2/straddle games.
• All results will be kept w utmost honesty and accuracy using my Poker Journal App. Through my PJA, I will update the thread with monthly graphs, hours played, hourly earned, etc. For more #fulltransparency, I intend on keeping ALL my poker chips earned from cash games in 2017 w pic proof. In addition, I will also provide other pics/vids to better capture the journey of this challenge. At the end of 2017 after accumulating the chips earned, I hope to be looking at $40,000+ in chips. I will also document the whole challenge on my UTube channel. U can subscribe to RayzRayl on UTube to follow along.
• There will be no silly requirements for hours long, buy-in amount, stop/loss, etc. The goal is simple, $40k playing 1/2nl no matter the hours, buy-n amount, stop/loss, etc.
• If I decide to play tourneys, those results will be SEPARATE from my cash totals. Take note, the goal IS $40k playing 1/2nl CASH. NOT cash and tourneys combined.
$40k 1/2nl challenge Part 2:
•Whatever we end up from the 2016 $40k shot take, gonna let it ride and stay invested through 2017.
Currently: $36,119
•Gonna put The Melody up for sale April 20th 2017.
•At the end of 2017, gonna put all the monies together: whatever is left from the $40k Stock Shot, $150k+ if we sell The Melody, and hopefully $40k from the 1/2 challenge.
Then w the cash monies...got a few ideas. ???
I think this decides it.

No. A poker buddy at HSI wanted to bet it for even money before I started, but then he backed out.

Only hv lost 2 days this month.

It's been relatively smooth sailing this month, thanks for asking.

I think I can understand why haha. Been following along with your vlogs, editing chops are looking sharp and on pace to smash your 40k challenge. Keep it up!

Thanks @Pure. Good to hear things smooth sailing. Keep it up.

We need to get that "Fish on a heater" pic pulled up again.
Only 2 losing days in June w 2 days to go.

Got about 6 hours to go to get in the 100hr month freeroll. As soon as I get there, I'm calling it a month. Prob grind 3 today and 3 tomorrow.

Gonna throw my June earnings in the safety dep box, and upload June pt 2 vlog Saturday.
