From $0.25 to the top of the game

Hello everyone! I finally decided to start a blog, I started playing at the $0.25 Spins and quickly moved up to the $7 spins. I'm currently doing well at the $7 level and I expect to move up by the end of this month.

A little about me: I'm 22 and I'm from Chile, I played a lot of cash games before moving to spins, but never past 10NL. I'm happy to have moved on to spins, I enjoy them much more even though the variance is higher.

I currently don't have a job so I'm just playing poker full time, about 7-9 hours a day. Decent money for now so I'm not really looking into getting a job.

My Goals:

- Short term:

• Move up to $15 spins by June 30th
• Move to a poker house by July 30th
• Move up to $30 spins by August 31st

- Long term:

• Move up to $60 spins by november
• Move up to $100 spins by January 2018

The Plan:
It's simple really, play 7-9 hours a day, and study 1-2 hours a day, with 1 day break every 2 weeks, and 1 week break every 2 months. I'm currently being backed by a stable, so bankroll management isn't an issue.

This is my graph so far at $7s, started out OK, had a small downswing in the middle but it keeps going up for now.



And that's it for now, I plan to update this blog at least once every 3 days, but I'll probably do it more than that.

LET'S GOOOO

Back for a quick update, haven't been playing as much as I would like, but still enough to be able to move up to the $15 spins. 9 days ahead of my goal, so I will use this extra time to study and play super hard

I also analyzed my own hud stats and compared them to what's "optimal" and it turns out I have quite a few leaks, I have been fixing them little by little and it definitely feels like I have improved my game.

For now I will increase the study hours and decrease the playing hours, since I was given a lot of new material now that I've gone up to the $15 level.

Haven't updated in a while, I took a little break from poker since my internet wasn't working well and had to wait for a technician to come and fix it. I also admit being lazy about it

Doing OK so far at the $15 level, running a bit bad but I'm playing better every day and feeling good about my game.

New stars rewards programs sucks ass, hoping it gets better but it doesn't worry me too much, I don't play to grind rakeback, I play to win pre-RB.

For now I'm looking forward towards going to a grind house in order to surround myself by poker day and night.

Let's get that run good

Time for an update, I've been playing much better each day, my stable asigned me a mentor which has helped a lot in answering each and every doubt I've had. That plus the training videos have helped improve my game a lot, I'm still around $700 below expected winnings, but since I already cashed out enough for this month, I'm not worrying about it too much.

I feel like if I was running pure, my c/ev would be higher, since when I lose an all in situation in a spin when I'm ahead, I have no more oportunities to generate chips/ev in that spin. Either way here's my total graph at $15s, hoping to move up in 1k-1.5k more spins.

It's been around 350 spins since my last update, still running below EV and not playing well enough imo. I have to keep improving and grinding.

I have re-thought my goal of moving to a poker house by the end of this month, it was too soon, so I'm moving it to September 31st.

Today I played 200 spins in one day. That is the most I've played in one day, it feels good to break that record.

Here's my graph. If I keep playing well with this c/ev, I'm probably going to move up to $30 spins once I hit 2k $15 spins.

Where did you get those stats you have in the information box? EV Profit (spin), chipEV/tournament etc. The PT4 warehouse doesn't seem to have them.

Okay I found chips/tournament. And I had EVROI from before. Thank you. Guess I will make EV profit myself. Since it should just be (EVROI * Tournaments played * Buy-In)

Back for an update, I had a few problems with my mental game lately, but thanks to my coach's recommendation I feel much better about the way I'm approaching losses and just variance in general.

One example of this is that I've stopped looking at both graphs and my balance (hid my balance in PS, and automated SNG registering). From now on I'll only be looking at it every 500 games, once money is not an issue anymore I'll look at it even less frecuently. I have to admit that I'm curious and I want to look at the graph, but I'm sure the feeling will go away in a few days.

Since I'm barely feeling tilt (felt none today) I have been playing much better and it's much easier to focus on just making good decisions. I have also incorporated a warmup period before I start the session, and a cooldown period after I finish. It doesn't take long but it does wonders for concentration.

Been a bit lazy this week, did not play on monday, so only 274 spins this week so far. Looking forward to playing 150 spins a day on average soon.
