Hello 2+2,

I am not one to usually do a "diary/journal" but I figured if I am going to give this a serious try then I need to do some sort of logging.

My name is Shane and I am 30 yrs old. I really do hate the real life. I do struggle with lots of simple things due to depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I have a really hard time focusing on the task at hand if I have any sort of distraction around. I used to live at my friends house until I realized I wasn't playing and studying as much as I need to be. So I moved back in with my parents and set up a room dedicated to only poker. The only thing in here is my computer and a bunch of day care toys. I still work full time as a house painter but I am really not liking it. Like most jobs. But as we all know we can't chase our dreams without doing some ****ty work. ( adhd kicking in mind wondering)

This is my first post so I may be a little spotty with this so I apologize. I am going to start at 5nl (woohoo!!) and try to climb the ladder. I realize I do not have the roll for 5nl but that is the lowest they offer on Ignition. (hit a bump with previous BR before getting serious). I will show starting stats below.

My goal for right now is to play 6-8 hrs on Sat and Sun (12-16 hrs w/ends) and play 3 hrs weeknights while studying 2 hrs per weeknight. Studying will consist of watching micro stakes streams, watching videos, or simply just reading some forums of hand overviews and things like that. I will most likely not stream as I just don't want the responsibility of keeping people entertained while trying to play. Too much going on for me at that point.

Well it was a pretty normal grind besides 2 hands. We hit quads with AA for the 2nd straight night. Lul. We didn't get paid like we were hoping on the hand but still came out with almost a $3 pot which we will take of course. Rest of the grind went pretty smooth. was never really down that much but I wasn't necessarily killing it either. The last hand we had QJ and flop was 7JJ only to lose to pocket 9's, which the turn and river were both 9's. HAHA.

All in all we came out ahead on the day.

QUICK UPDATE

While I was watching my buddy stream I decided to play 1 table of 5nl Zone for a bit. Doubled up on about the 5th hand. Which is always nice. I played for a few more minutes and then he ended stream so I decided to quit while I was ahead as well.

TzurrR - Haha. I do need someone keeping tabs on me. I donked away last bankroll playing to high of tables for my roll. Can't make same mistake.

We will both be doing big things in poker before we know it. Its going to be a long but fun ride.

UPDATE

Played some Zone Poker for about an hour and ended up in the red.

I played one hand really bad that cost me about $4. So without that we would have been in the black but that is now behind us and we are going to move on to some 6-max regular tables.

UPDATE

So I stayed away from the zone poker and played 6-max reg like planned.

Session went OK. Made a few mistakes that cost me few dollars. I am getting better but I do have a problem with trying to steal pots when I whiff. We are shaving those mistakes down a lot but of course I still make them...UGH!! We came out with positive results though so we will take it.

We fell a little short of the weekend goal of 6-8 hrs a day but I got addicted to Aussie Millions last night so I stayed up late and then woke up and started watching the $25/50 NL Live game from the casino. Haha. Good time though.

I am currently at a coffee shop thinking I can get some grinding done here some my mom does in home day care and don't want to listen to the kids yelling and screaming. Though they will be gone soon. Buuut...as I am sitting I always like to scan Twitch to see what is going in the Twitch world of Poker, and there internet is GARBAGE. I can't even watch 1 stream without the damn thing freezing every 30 sec. So I guess no poker for me till I get back home. LUL (Which I guess is now)
