Was playing 2.4 hour session and reached stop loss third day in a row. Was playing vs guy who has 60% 3b after 70 hands, 5 times I pushed Ax vs him, three times he called with better hand. Can't play anymore today so I'll make session review because I need to find out what I am doing wrong. I am very glad that I don't run like that on NL50 otherwise my bankroll would be crushed.

That was my two almost last hands for today:

Hero (SB): $5.18 (129.5 bb)
BB: $3.35 (83.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7 7
Hero raises to $0.12, BB calls $0.08

Flop: ($0.24) 7 Q 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.18, BB calls $0.18

Turn: ($0.60) Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.45, BB calls $0.45

River: ($1.50) 5 (2 players)
BB bets $0.38, Hero raises to $4.43 and is all-in, BB calls $2.22 and is all-in

Spoiler:
Results: $6.70 pot ($0.44 rake)
Final Board: 7 Q 8 Q 5
Hero mucked 7 7 and won $0.00 (-$3.35 net)
BB showed 8 Q and won $6.26 ($2.91 net)

Hero (SB): $5.73 (143.3 bb)
BB: $8.59 (214.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A Q
Hero raises to $0.12, BB raises to $0.36, Hero raises to $5.73 and is all-in, BB calls $5.37

Flop: ($11.46) 8 6 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: ($11.46) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($11.46) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Spoiler:
Results: $11.46 pot ($0.76 rake)
Final Board: 8 6 8 J J
Hero mucked A Q and lost (-$5.73 net)
BB showed 8 J and won $10.70 ($4.97 net)

I must play more to reach long run faster. I must study more to minimize variation.

If you are a millionaire, why is your bankroll crushed at nl50 running bad?

Today Gordon did session review with me. The more time I spend with him, the more I admire his knowledge and mindset. The great bonus is that he says a lot of psychological and mindset stuff while teaching poker. He had great fun by watching how “great” my big hands ended. One after another was beaten. The bright side is that Gordon told me I am not playing fine and I just ran bad. I am not playing perfect I make mistakes but I play fine. Anyway most of my leaks were at the river, that’s why I spend most time on that. I almost ended whole HU Mastermind course. Only River section left. I’ll start making homework from River section because it seems to be my biggest leak at that moment.

Also he told me to play a little less table. I like to play 4 tables at HU atm. I am more like grinder than guy who think for ages on one table but first things first. I must to improve my game, my skill then I can add more tables. I used to play 8-10 tables on starts or 10-12 on unibet and I like it a lot. Downswings are good because you focus more on learning and searching leaks. It’s also test your mindset. Can’t wait to play tomorrow and now I am going to bed. One thing that I love about his coaching. He focus mostly on understanding poker not on doing right action. He always repeat: “You understand why? First of all you should understand why you should do such a move” and he explain me over and over again game plans and how he would adapt. I found really great person to emulate.

Today I’ll write post faster. I have a lot of things to do and when I’ll come back at home I want to just play some poker and go to sleep. I don’t think I’ll have energy for something else like writing. Today I’ve been playing 3 hours session long. I almost fall asleep, nobody joined second table so I was playing 40 min versus mega boooooring opponent. I won with him character battle

Final Board: 3 A T J 8
Hero mucked A K and won $7.66 ($3.56 net)
BB showed K 7 and lost (-$4.10 net)

Franeczek guy form Polish community made mindset self-development study group. I joined in and I am curious how it will improve our game. I like the idea of working together on it, we can learn a lot from each other. He was talking about mental hand history so I did this exercise. Yesterday I wrote down about problem: ”I expect to always win money from fish”. I like this exercise, I didn’t suspect this outcome I realize that I get angry when I don’t adapt to fish. The fault was always me and not board or running bad. I’ve thought that I play pretty lame because I can’t adapt. That’s why today I did 2 hours long session review. I saw almost every hand I played yesterday. Yesterday I did pretty good job, yeah I made some mistakes but I’ve thought it was much much worse.

I find out where I lose most money and why for last 5 days my graph looked like this:

I can’t flip pre flop. I don’t know how to do it. I shouldn’t even try. Here is my graph from all in preflop:

Because I don’t know how to win flips preflop I get rid of that. I gave up on idea of pushing preflop until I have mega premium hands. I changed my game plan and now I focus mostly on flop and postflop game. Gordon give me advice to exploit them postflop otherwise it will be higher in variation and more stressful.

This is how it’s look like today:

I’ll play less aggressive preflop and I’ll make session review after every day. I think it will have big impact on my game. Today I have pretty hardcore session. One guy want to outplay me he was so fuc.king strudy we were playing for almost 200 min. I was mega, mega hungry but I told myself: “this guy need to give up first”. I think I won his 5-6 stacks but that was character battle. I am glad that 200 min long sessions are something normal for me. Today I did two session like that.

Hero (BB): $7.70 (192.5 bb)
SB: $7.11 (177.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T T
SB raises to $0.12, Hero raises to $0.40, SB calls $0.28

Flop: ($0.80) 7 Q 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.44, SB calls $0.44

Turn: ($1.68) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.88, SB calls $0.88

River: ($3.44) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $1.80, SB raises to $5.39, Hero calls $3.59

Spoiler:
Results: $14.22 pot ($0.94 rake)
Final Board: 7 Q 5 5 Q
Hero mucked T T and won $13.28 ($6.17 net)
SB showed 6 A and lost (-$7.11 net)

Hero (BB): $10.06 (251.5 bb)
SB: $5.48 (137 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 4
SB raises to $0.12, Hero calls $0.08

Flop: ($0.24) 3 A Q (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $0.18, Hero calls $0.18

Turn: ($0.60) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $0.60, Hero calls $0.60

River: ($1.80) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $4.58 and is all-in, Hero calls $4.58

Spoiler:
Results: $10.96 pot ($0.73 rake)
Final Board: 3 A Q 6 2
Hero mucked A 4 and won $10.23 ($4.75 net)
SB showed 5 T and lost (-$5.48 net)

It would be great if this guy would play with me for 200 min too Unfortunately he left after 20 min or so.

The "original" Gordon Geccko was from the movie Wall Street (Michael Douglas' character)

"Gordon" in this case = ThinkItThrough

Great advantage of my uni is that I learned how to read documentation and I am not afraid of using it. Long story short I am using my mobile phone as a modem so I am writing from my netbook. I needed to get rid of few certificates as well, it blocked my net connection but never mind.

I hate watching TV it makes me brainless. I am much more tiered after watching TV for one hour than after working out. TV makes me feel stupid and fat, it’s probably just placebo and self-affirmations but that serves me well. As a 18 years boy I was very, very shy. I was playing in computer games all my childhood I barely moved out form home, I had no social skills at all. That was the reason why I decided it’s time to get rid of that and work as a door to door salesman. What can be worse and more challenging to shy boy? Probably nothing and that’s why I did it.

I was working as a salesman for six-eight months. I used to sell digital television. We were selling this to different kind of people. But what was the biggest shocked for me is that mostly poor people buy it. Once I even tried to tell people that they don’t need this. I tried to tell them to don’t buy it I could earn pretty nice money but I didn’t want to earn on them. Why’s that? They was as poor as Kenny’s mom. They were taking bath in the same water one after another. I saw dirty water waiting for next person. They house stink, they were living in 10 people in ~40-50m house. Everything seems so f.cking poor except one thing. They were having 50” flat TV and they want me to sell them premium channel account….

For f.ck’s sake. How could you even try to sell people like them something that unnecessary like digital television? They priory were different, they prefer digital television more than taking a bath in clear water… It was gross, mostly poor people bought digital television channels pack. They didn’t clean theirs house, they didn’t take care about themselves but they did need premium pack TV channels… I was talking with rich people who has very nice house. Funny thing is that they told me they didn’t have time for TV because they prefer to read a book, work out or earn money. TV? Ain’t nobody gotta time for that!

Those experience taught me more than hundreds of books about difference between rich and poor people. Mostly because of that I don’t like to watch TV. Anyway now I am staying at my grandparents’ house and I have literally nothing to do. So I am watching some TV it is very exhausting for me. Anyway I found great TV channel. It’s called Bloomberg or something like that. It’s a business channel and they make brilliant interviews with brilliant. I’ve saw interview with Richard Branson and with one guy I didn’t knew. He was a baseball pro and he had pretty nice earnings but after he find out he has AIDS he gave up on sport and become a businessman. No he won’t gave up, he go f.cking higher, his net asset value is now worth half billion of dollars. That’s a spirit, that’s a champion! I love to watch interview with guys like him. I can’t do my job so I am dying from boredom. I can’t wait to start play poker again, to work out again and do other stuff again.

Anyway I am very glad that sometimes they make something worth watching on TV.

I will. Good luck with your goal. Remember that once when you learn how to improve social skill, it will have impact for your whole life. So it’s definitely worth doing. Just wonder are you doing Demonic Confidence from PUA?

@ XMenCypher
I am back at home. Still I am not a big fun of learning poker form TV. In TV you never every gonna see UTG open and 5 folds. In TV they play deep stacks so they play different. In TV you don’t see performance of different players, so you don’t know who is good. On TV they play more fancy because they want to be on the TV screens. Also I can try to implement something that I don’t understand and it will do more harm than it’s necessary. I am happy enough to have a coach like Gordon and I don’t need any other source of learning. Anyway thanks for advice

@ vaJAZzled
Thanks a lot! I will definitely have a look at him. I love to read about successful people.

I didn’t tell this Gordon but today he forced me to play longest session in my whole life. I wanted to go out from the tables but just before that Gordon asked me: “are you playing?”. I knew what is going to happen I told him yes and waited for sweet session. We were playing together for hour or even more and after that I can’t go out because there was a great guy who want to overplay me. When I have customer like that I f.cking can’t go away, that’s my rule. Long story short today I’ve been playing pretty long session:

Today I still have holidays so I decided to play only one session, and I played only one session… Tomorrow I’ll have some stuff to do that’s why I decided I’ll do something today to feel more calm about tomorrow tasks.

It was my own idea I think he didn't mind this call but I'll ask him

PC is broken. I am using neetbok , today I played 2-3 hours without HUD. Damn it’s much much harder, even on one table not only because of stats but the worst thing is that you don’t see showdown when he lose. I’ve been fixing PC for 10 hours or so but nothing helped. Can’t recover, can’t format I don’t know WTF had happen. Fortunately I made some phone calls and I’ll borrow laptop for 4-5 days so I can play normal poker.
