Hello everyone! This is my first PG&C thread and I'm doing this to keep track of my results and get extra motivation.

Some mandatory info:

Im 20-year old grinder from Finland and I play under alias Sanjay_45 on PokerStars. Started taking poker more seriously just recently when I started playing 180mans through staking stable this february. Before stake I played succesfully small MTT's and some random plo HU (not that succesfully) I have always be very competitive in every thing I get motivated and now I'm fully focused on making poker my only income.

So I started playing 180man turbos around february. Part of the deal was coaching and b/c of that I quickly started to crush 2.5s. After few weeks I moved up to 8s but that transition has been very difficult and depressing.

As you can see I'm completely crushing 2s and totally donking money to 8s. I'm starting to run out of ideas how to beat these sons of a bitches but Im working to improve my game and I'm sure I'll get that graph to look less depressing someday.

Goals for future:

Start crushing 8s!!

Supernova status (Currently @ 23k VPP's so ****load of work to do)

Nr 1. @ Sharkscope leaderboards (currently 2nd place @ 2$-5$ 7 or more tables)

Maybe adding 3rs to my normal grind soon.

Haven't really done any volume based goals but I'm trying to play at least 6k tourneys per month from now on.

I'm trying to update this thread couple of times a week. Any questions and comments are more than welcome. I'm also interested making volume or profit bets for extra motivation. Grind on!

The 8s downswing is just run bad probs, there's not a big enough skill difference between them to make you crush one and lose at the other.

You should have saved some run good from the 2s!

Two normal grinding days over, 600 tourneys and made even small profit. Glad to see that I'm actually profiting from 8s also atm and I'm starting to get more comfortable adding more volume to them. With this volume I'm making about 1k VPP's a day which means if I can keep this up I should get supernova in next 3months since Im deff not going to play every day. Rakeback pro 4 life!

Is there any fish left in these things? Everyone and their mother seems to be a 180 grinder.

Yeah, 180s are totally reg infested nowadays and it's starting to get harder and harder to make good profit on these. Still a lot of 2s regs are too tight and exploitable so its just about adjusting ranges and trying to be better than other regs

In the first graph between 8k and 9k i see there is 200Buy-in downsing. What was it like to you at that momemt? Did you felt that you are playing not your game?

Can't remember seeing you at my tables. How many tables and how many hours a day are you playing? GL

About 2 weeks ago I had 4-day volume race against LeNaber. I changed from playing 21tables tiled to playing over 40tables stacked for the volume race. At start I run bad and played bad b/c of too many tables but got it after the first day.

I currently play 28-30 tables and regging for about 8h a day.

What was the single most valuable advice u got from coaching for the 2,5/180?

VOLUME = BOSS and 10bb eff bvsb atc, that's all you need.

Yeah, playing tiled got my eyes pretty tired sometimes but it wasnt really that bad when you get used to it.

Thats not that bad. I played up to 24 tables tiled and its still pretty easy.

Not coaching atm. I dont really have time to coach anyone since Im grinding so much and I don't think Im experienced enough in 180s that I could actually help someone get better since I'm constantly learning to get better myself. Mby in the future.

Played std 300 tourney session yday. Ended up losing quite a bit, but thats just how it goes sometimes.

I have been using placemint for couple of weeks now to ease table positioning and for some reason after pokerstars.eu updated today placemint didn't work for me. Ended up loading 16 tourneys and just stopped and decided to figure out what's wrong with it but haven't found the bug yet. I guess I just take this day off and hope I find the solution so I can continue grinding tomorrow and if not I just have to get used to playing without it which would suck enormously.

U use hotkeys with that?

I dont use TN yet, really think i should start to use it.

sick that you're going for SN with 2$ and 8$s, I mix them too and I can barely maintain goldstar (actually silver again tomorrow bc of low volume in may).

when do you play? I usually play 20 tables between 7-11 PM CET

I usually try to play 28tables between 17:00-01:00 CET.

Yo! Have been lacking for updates since I took about 1 week off from the tables. Haven't take this long break from grinding since January so felt very good. But now its time to get back at the game and start making some profit.

Going to play around 8-9h each day. Not going for volume since I'm gonna play fewer tables (around 20-24) for start and focus more on the quality of my game.

Played few 3rs during last week and had sick results:



Obv a really small sample and rung0000d but atleast made some nice profit. Not going to include 3rs to my normal grind yet but mby in near future.

My staking deal ends in a week. Not rly sure what I'm going to do. Might just make a new deal and grind for a bit so I can start grinding with my own money in a month or two. Kinda looking for other options atm and deciding later this week what to do.

Prbly going to update this everyday now on so I can track my results better. Grind on!
