Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

yeah, been playing super tilted sessions, lost almost 50 BI in the last week
playing like a retard, doubting my moves, played even a 70 vpip session

$500 bankroll now

I'll go back to 2-tabling, I'm playing like a monkey.
If I fall to $300 I'll go to NL10
If I don't manage to beat NL25 by a large sample by the end of next month, I'll quit

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

why are you playing sessions with 70% VPIP and tilted session makes no sense and now its cost you a chunk of money.
no harm in closing the tables and coming back a few hours later/ next again day

trying to find your play style isnt going to work swinging from 10 vpip to 70 start of with a default super standard play of around 20% vpip 16% PFR 6% 3b and work from there
start 3betting a linear range and dont getting fancy + 4b only the nuts.

dont play when tilted!
hope you can learn from your mistakes
wish you best mate

thanks, man.
But I can't stop until the next day, in 5 months I'll be studying like crazy to work in a government job(decent money, can't get fired and it's easy), so I want to play the most I can.

yeah, I think playing sometimes super crazy is +EV, the problem is that it hurts your sanity so much that you will bee overadjusting even more than villains. Also it's impossible to maintain such a game for a long time.

The toughest thing about poker is that it's so easy to lose money and so hard to make...

Played a mini-session here 2-tabling, it's awesome, I can think with clarity, should never played 3+ tables. My biggest issue back then when I stopped was tilt, I hope I can come back here with a sick 10bb/100 graph. let's see if I can make it.

.
playing super crazy/loose would be around 35% any thing higher is just being a fish

play super standard at 25 and see what works for you and adjust little by little
70% vpip is been a fish plain and simple

Still have $650 in my bankroll
at least those -$1200 in one week told me a lesson that someone already posted it here(but I was stubborn and didn't listen): focus on playing well and low volume, high bb/100.

let's see how it goes, I'm a pretty optimistic about that. Will try to rebuild to $1250 and give 5BI shots at NL50. It will take longer, but in the way I was planning I wouldn't even have a chance to be there =p

the problem wasn't those river shoves, they have a good amount of fold equity
the problem was that I started tilting hard, also a lot of times when I 4-tabled I couldn't read the tables well, couldn't see 1-to-straights, folded good hands pre because of timing out.

Also I ran pretty bad, not saying that I'm a winning player but this is only bad luck.

I'm a bad player and had bad luck too.
I'll have to learn how to play the game, and by 2-tabling it's easier to do that, also harder to make bad plays.

It's funny to know that after almost 1M hands played total (played 700-800k back in 2012-2013 and 200k this year), only now I realized that my biggest problem is mental issues.

My strategy, even by not being optimal, it's ok, it's not like I'm playing vs super competent players, the average NL25 reg has a lot of huge leaks in his game too.

Also I'm the kind of person who does its best to achieve perfection (when I get obsessed). Although my grades in the university are 6.6 in average, while the minimum required to pass is 6 lol(not that people care so much about them in Brazil). But in all games I played I did my best to be the best.

Got legend in hearthstone, in world of warcraft I got 17th place in the world in a fight(I was the only person with normal characters in his name, between chinese and japanese people in top20 lol), in warcraft 3 I got rank 77 in 2v2 in the toughest server in the world (with **** tons of lag).

People get into this game because of the money. Money has never been an issue for me. I got into this game to be the best, to shine, like I did in other games I played. I forced my volume so much, and even spent so much time in poker this month, while I should be looking hard for an internship to finish my university. I did it only because I couldn't stand losing, after I get a losing session I get crazy and want to go back and own people, I can't accept I'm losing.

Because of that, I'll do my best to beat the game, learn and be the best I can be. One thing though is that poker isn't like the other games I played, the psychological barrier is really tough. It's not like you can tilt in hearthstone or warcraft 3, you won't get annoyed and throw some random bad plays from time to time, you may do not optimal choices that could cost you the game, but bad plays are almost impossible to make in those games if you're decent.

Will play less volume, will rest more, will look more for internships.
This holiday will be good, it will be nice to get some time to rest and be refreshed. Bankroll is at $725.

if you aren't noticing 1 card straight boards then you must be thinking at a fish level and clicking buttons

it's not about thinking at a fish level, 4-tabling zoom is just too fast to keep track of everything, I'm still not used to see the possible straights, stopped for 3 years and came back in january, so it's normal to not be able to recognize boards easily.

But I remember almost everything I learned, valuebetting pretty well, folding, semi-bluffing, I have some idea of what my range is and villain's.

The major issue was fixed, back to how I was at the beginning of the thread, when I was owning the stakes pretty hard, goal is still to destroy ZOOM and reach the top.

When I get a decent sample size I'll post the graph since I started 2-tabling, it's looking pretty good haha

Ah, also 2-tabling makes me less tired, I make way less actions per second, play relaxed, at a slow pace, so even though volume is lower, I'm able to play more hours and it stresses me less. This month I played almost non-stop (109k hands in 21 days).

It will be fun to spread terror in the small stakes. A lot of people in those stakes criticized my old threads haha
