Hello everyone,

My name is Paulius. My home town is near city named Klaipėda. My citizenship is Lithuanian. I am quite young, just 21 years old, but though I am young, I have experience, not only in poker, but as well in sport, sales and other spheres. Anyway, today I am on academic holidays in my university, which mean I skip this year in studies. This was my decision, because I had too much activities, too much stress and it was difficult to deal with it. So, now I am totally free from studies, I can take my all time to my hobies, job and sport.

Talking about the poker - I started to play this game, when I was in school, in ninth class, when the Facebook started to be popular in our country. My friend told me that there is a game in Facebook - Zynga poker. I registered in Facebook and started too play POKER (I didn't realize how this game will become BIG part of my life). I played it on brakes between lectures in school. I played at free time at home. It was brilliant discovery, because it attracted me a lot. Later afer 1-2 years my classmate (good friend) told me that in Microgaming (room Triobet) is going Freeroll tournaments. I started too play this type of tournaments at the age of 16-17. And after several atempts I won first 0,02$. I was such happy, that I ran too my father and said - DAD I WON 0.02$. And this was the start of my poker career. Later I won several $ and started to play SNG. I build Bankroll until 50-60$ and started play NL2 6-max Regular tables in Microgaming. When I was in limit NL4 i found out Holdem Manager. I played over half a year with this program, without any understanding how it works. Then I found out local Lithuanian poker forum "Pokerio Karta" and post my stats, with the idea that somebody will help me, to develop my self in poker. I received tone of comments, with ideas how to increase my productivity in playing poker. I really wanted to develope, to study and to gamble gamble all the time. Finally, I reached NL10 limits. I have played over 300k hands with the winrate about 3-4bb/100. Then I started to do shots to NL20. I played in NL20 over 600k hands and I was break even or a little bit in minus (but I had rakeback over 40percent so all in all I was winning player). So, I struggled in NL20 about 2-3 years, until 2015.09 when something happen. I had to cashout all my roll ( which was about 1k$). So, November 29 of 2015, I decided to do challange. I had 10$ in my PokerStars account, so I decided that I have enough knowledge, I have enough experience, I know a lot poker players, which whom I can work and study together.

So, my DECISION is to start play poker as a profesional, and view to this game as the business.

What plan I made:

1) Start from NL2 with bankroll 10$
2) Study, even 1 hour per day
3) Work with my couch
4) Start to write blog in 2+2 (for myself, better motivation to play and share ideas with others poker players and and although it's good chance to develope my english skills)

Now, I have played 14 000 hands in NL2 and NL5 and build my roll till 80$.
Now, I am playing 3 tables of NL5 (I am very confused, because I always played 6-8 tables, and now I see that 3-4 tables is more better because all your focus is to poker).

Secondly, other rule is exit all social networks when I am playing (because in past it was huge problem).

Now, I bought monthly license in Run It Once - so I can watch and study professional videos.

My list of books, which I will read in nearly future:

1) "Mental game of poker" (Today just started)
2) "Treat a poker like a business"
3) "Poker Mindset" (I read it before 2-3 years, so now it's good opportunity to refresh news from this book)

Day before, I met other poker player, who plays full-time (he live only from poker) - so he suggested my good idea -> Play 6 days, and have 1 day without a poker. So, I decided that monday will be that day, when I am dissociate of poker and do other things.

So, from now I have eight and a half month until my studies in university ( I am studying in International School of Management (ISM) in Lithuania capital Vilnius. So, my main focus is:

1) Job ( I am working in insurance company "Compensa", like a financial concultant )
2) Poker ( 3 hours of grind and 1 hour for studies per day)
3) Sport ( I am going to gym 4 times a week. My destination is 95kg (now my weigh is 90kg) )
4) Diet ( clean food everyday)
5) Self-development (books about communicating, about body-language, leadership and so on).

I decided to stay in my home town Klaipėda, and move to Vilnius, when I will be more finance stable and when I will be become stronger in my activities.

I add graphs after 2015 November 29 day, when I returned to poker.

I hope that some of readers will say so feed back and will give advices how to play or how to study (methods, ideas and so on.)

Hello everyone,

Almost one month have passed, so I would like to take a conclusion about this period.

I would say that 10$ challenge is becoming more and more interesting, because I am moving up limits and it is brilliant feeling to know that everything is from 10$. So, in the beginning of January I started to play firstly 4 tables of NL5 and later I added two more tables and until now I am playing 6 tables of NL5.

Results is quite good. I am beating NL5 in 17k hands about 14bb/100 and NL2 in 14k hands 29bb/100.

I assume that is good results and I will try too keep this

Now I am reading Mental Game of poker book. I take some priciples and suggestions of it, and will keep reading to get more knowledge The Run In once membership has ended, so now I started to watch YourDoom cash videos.

My POKER Plan for January:

1. 25 000 hands
2. NL5 8bb/100 winrate
3. Regular learning (1 hour per day)
4. Hands analyzes with other poker players (2 times per month)
5. Before first session of day do PREPARATION (hands analyzes from last session)
6. Monday - day without poker.
7. Make chart of my open, 3bet, 4bet, cold call ranges.

Other plans for Janurary:

1. Make at least 2 contracts in my job (Insurance company)
2. Start to eat clean food (because last month was terrible)
3. Regular sport regime (4 times per week)

My graphs since I started 10$ challange:

So here I am again. It is the end of January 2016 and it's the time to make conclusion about this month.

The beginning of January was quite good. I was strict to my plan, the results was better than I expected, but in the middle of month I had week of negative sessions, so I take a 3 days break without a poker. After this brake the game was unbalanced - I was not keeping my plan, to play 4 sessions in the day and Have 1 hour per day of study. Two days before I took a shot to NL10 (4 tables, 3 sessions for 45 minutes) - it ended minus 11$ and i returned back to NL5. Today I end up first month of 2016 year with maximum bankroll, when I started 10$ challange - 238$.

Hello everyone again,

It took quite a lot of time since I posted last time here. Since March 1st I played quite a little amount of hands. Motivation for poker last few months was decreasing, so there were no results, which I could be proud of.

In my life happened some changes, I have changed my living town from Klaipėda, to capital of Lithuania Vilnius. I moved to Vilnius in 4th of May.

When, I moved to Vilnius, I decided to change my life, change my habits, because the last stage of life wasn't related with good emotions.

So, what I changed?

- I quite smoking, which was my goal long time. So now I am not smoking almost 2 months and I am very happy for it.
- I fixed sleep reguime (every day I go to sleep at 24 PM and get up 8.00-9.00 AM)
- I started to increase my knowledge at work (almost every day I read articles about investing, finances and pensions in order to be one of the best at my working sphere)
- I started regulary read books about discipline, good habits, emotional intelligence, motivation and so on.
- I started regulary go to the gym ( I bought personal trainer workouts and individual sport and eating program)
- I started everyday cook a clean food for the upcoming day (put everything to the separate bags and bring to the work)
- I started to have lessons with my poker coach.

Today, I am very motivated and clearly seeing my future goals not only in poker, but as well as in my job and sport.

So, in June 7th I had my first lesson with my coach, so we started to learn from basics - from opening ranges, bankroll management and so on.

So, until now, I had 4th lessons and have a lot of homework and work to do.

I started to regularly grind and do homework so motivation is increasing every day.

What my poker plans for July of 2016?

1. 20 000 hands
2. 100 dol profit
3. At the end of the month try to do shots to NL10 zoom
4. 6bb/100 winrate of NL5 zoom.
5. Regular trainings with my coach
6. Homework doing.
7. Preparation before everyone session
8. Session results and playing review

What my other plans for July of 2016?

1. 250 eur sellings in job
2. 24 meetings in job
3. 300 calls in job.
4. I am teaching 4 people at work at the end of the month.
5. 89kg weight (now 91,6kg)
6. Regular 3-4times per week training in a gym.
7. 2 times per week cardio.
8. I have read 1 book.
9. Clean food (cheat day 1 time per week).

Today, my goal for poker is to beat zoom cash games. I started to play NL5 zoom last month, played about 12 000 hands with 5~bb/100 winrate.

Goal for the end of the summer is to play NL10 zoom with shots to NL16.

Wish me best luck not only for poker, but also for my career prospects.

P.S. I add graphs since 7th of June, when I came back to poker

Hello everyone again,

I am back on track. I understood that poker is one of my hobbies, which I very liked, but I just forgotten to learn more. So, after a long break I am back in game. Now I started to play Spin N go format in PokerStars.

Now I have a couch. We did analysis, trainings. I am very enjoying playing and learning.

I started from 1$ spins. I played over 1000 game's and last 1000 game's i played +91 Chip EV.

On 2017 05 08 I received stake from my coach for 3$ limit.

Here I will share my journey, thoughts, goals, graphics about how my journey of poker looks like.

Goals for 2017 May:

* 1000 game's in 3$ limit
* 85+ chip EV
* regular training with my coach
* regular analysis with other teammate

Goals until 2017 09 01:

The second part of week was terrible. Cards was dealed under ex EV, so I lost a lot.

This is graph of this week:

Plans for upcoming week:

* Play 300 games
* Have +85 chip ev rate.

Hi,

4th week of stake has passed.
The week was difficult. I did not manage to keep Non-showdown curve stable, so my coach said to move to 1$ limit.

Now I am trying to narrow my oop ranges, to defend more, to raise more.
So far so good, 1$ limit goes well.

Plans for this week:

- Play 300 games on 1$ limit
- Work with flopzilla 30-60min/each day
- 100+ chip EV on 1$ limit

*I played 150~ games on 1-3limit

New Years. New Start.

2018 gave new winds to my life.
- I picked up academic holidays in university.
- One year has left. So, I will continue studies in 2019 January.

So, this year, I decided to take a full-time in poker.

I starting up with small bankroll, and quite aggressive bankroll management.
I started to play NL2 Cash-zoom and PokerStarts, with 45$ bankroll. At the moment is 50$.

My goal for every day, when I am working: spend at least 2 hours of studying poker concepts of zoom, poker calculation and maths. Other 4-5 hours spend, playing poker with sessions of 1 hour.

So, approximately my working day consists of 30% of studying, analysis and 70% of game play.

Results from 2018 01 01 - 01 10

Goals for this week - until 2018 01 14:

- 12500 hands played.
- 10bb/100 winrate in NL2.
- Started to learning post flop play in zoom cash.
- Do one lesson with poker coach.

Goals for January 2018

- 50 000 hand played
- 10bb/100 winrate or more in NL2.
- I did shots to NL5 (at least 2000 hands).
- I follow my discipline. (every day analysis, learning).
- At least 4 lessons with poker coach.

I plan to write and add something new to this blog at the end of every week.
I hope that this free year, without studies, will be a big challenge and motivation for me to go deep into the poker and become regular player at the end of the year of low/medium stakes cash zoom.

Also, I hope, that this year will help me to get more knowledge about concepts of mathematical calculations, concepts of pre-flop, post flop play. In case, of knowing this, maybe this will led to start teaching other players Zoom-cash in micro limits.

Wishing success to everyone to have good 2018 dog years

Hello everyone,

I did not write for almost over 2 years. So these 2 years was quite hard for me, and I played less poker. I played mostly MTT for fun. So I was not able to make any profit, only loss. It was bad, because I had a view to poker as fun, not like part-time job or a full-time job as in the past.
So, from 2021 I decided to return back to cash games. I deposited 60$ into my PokerStars account, and started to Play regular tables of cash. I started playing 4 tables of NL2. After 1-2 weeks I made shots to NL5, after that to NL10 and to NL16 on the same month. (On this year January).
I ended month with 773.40$ bankroll.
On February I started shots to NL25, but I faced 4 coolers/badbeats and returned back to NL16. Now I am mixing NL10 – 16; I played last month ¬110hours, with average hour rate of 5eur/hour.
My goal for February is to play at least 70 hours and 25000 hours poker.
I am starting to get coaching, so I think I will be able to beat NL16 and make shots to NL25.
I add graphs and stats since 2021.

My POKER goals for this month:
1) 70 hours of play.
2) 25000 hands.
3) 8bb/100 winrate per all limits.
4) Shots to NL20-25
5) Regular coaching with my mentor.
6) Weekly hand analysis.

My life goals:
1) Quite smoking
2) 100% plan achieving in my work.
3) Back to sport. At least 3 times per week (30min training sessions)

Hello, everyone

So, February goes to an end, so I decided to take a look at my achievements in poker and etc.
So this month, I played less than in January, and the results as well are not quite good.

Let’s take a look, at what I planned a few weeks before:

My POKER goals for this month:
• 70 hours of play. (79 hours played) - DONE
• 25000 hands. (25055 played hands) - DONE
• 8bb/100 winrate per all limits. – about 5bb/100 - MISSED
• Shots to NL20-25 - DONE
• Regular coaching with my mentor. - MISSED
• Weekly hand analysis. - MISSED

My life goals:
• Quite smoking (Not smoking for second day) - DONE
• 100% plan achieving in my work. (about 60%) - MISSED
• Back to sport. At least 3 times per week (30min training sessions) – DONE

Basically, all in all everything is going to good side. I changed poker room, where there are more weak players. It is quite difficult to adapt, because soft is not the best.
I need more analysis and coaching, because I think I am making same mistakes.
On my regular life, I need to strictly follow discipline, do not smoke, and do sport regularly. In this case I will be able to live ‘’charged’’ life. All in, all – February was quite good. I finished with 148,58 EUR profit. At the moment I have 959.12$ bankroll for poker.

My POKER goals for March:
• 60 hours of play.
• 15000 hands.
• 8bb/100 winrate per all limits.
• Shots to NL20.
• Regular coaching with my mentor.
• Weekly hand analysis.

My life goals:
• I am non smoker.
• 100% plan achieving in my work.
• I do sport regularly. 3 times per week in average.
• I managed my life balanced. I go sleep and get up early.

• I have played about 28 hours per this month, what is about 2hours per day.
• My profit for this month is about 98,15$.
• Profit would be higher, but I bought Hand2Note soft for 150$.
• I am not smoking for 15 days.
• I do not drink alcohol for 2 weeks.
• I do sports and walks regularly in past 2 weeks.

Baz, set yourself goals that are not that difficult, such as quit smoking but you can have alcohol for example. Nobody's perfect, improve little by little dont try to achieve all your goals at the same time.

Hello everyone,

So more than half of April has passed. So results of poker and other activities are good.
Beside that, I play not a lot, but quality of game is improving. I regularly attend group trainings with my coach. Also, I have individual training with my coach and one side coach. I did hand analysis and I am planning in next week to start to work with GTO Wizzard.

Statistics of April goals at the moment:
• 33.47 hours played ( 1,86 hours/ day -> goal is 2 hours/day)
• 9517 played hands (monthly goal is 15000, so I do 105,7% prognozis)
• 22.32bb/100 current winrate (Going over goal)
• I play 50/50 NL20/40.
• I do regular trainings, analysis.
• I do hand analysis. ½ completed (1 week I did not)

My life current goals
• I am non smoker
• I do not drink alcohol
• I am achieving my work plan over 100%
• I do sport regularly 3days/week.
• I am trying to manage my daily balance of day. (still need improvement)
• I ran about 44KM in these days (prognozisis is about 98percent)
• Current Bankroll 1604$

All in all, everything is going fine. Need to follow discipline. Do more homework for poker.

Other goals for finalysing month:
• E-Commerce revenue 450£
• I start day on Monday-Friday on 6am.
• I am running in average 3KM per session.

Good luck!
