River: ($41.54) T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $179.73 and is all-in, BB folds
Spoiler:
Results: $41.54 pot ($2.08 rake)
Final Board: 5 3 8 8 T
BB mucked and lost (-$20.27 net)
Hero mucked A K and won $39.46 ($19.19 net)
Figure normal sizing I get check called too much by all his 2ndP type.
For 3x pot they "always" tank-fold.
Prolly should fold turn but usually they shutdown river.
FWIW that line above doesn't seem to be working on micro-stakes MTT's. You do that and they snap call you with 3rd pair by thinking "that gut-shot he never should even have bricked, so I must be good" - SNAP!
GL, fun thread.
PS. I obviously always have that missed gut-shot double float I jammed OTR.

Haha, thanks. So that explains why I could never beat 2NL. (not kiddin!)
There is some truth to the "moving up where they respect your raises"
after all.
No poker for me yesterday. Lost almost entire day picking up some furniture
from germany. Was a fun road trip with my friend though.
Just the two of us, women stayed at home this time.
My chess team won their conference yday as well, usuallu a reason to
party hard but with 2 hours of sleep I decided to give up on it since
it would cost me entire sunday.
Sunday, starting out slowly - 4x100, 2x50.
intend to do more 200 later - maybe play some MTTs too (attack SM)
well see.
(spew off stack in 1st minute): greedy explo me shining through every now and then. River should giveup from my range perspective - just awful.
At least I was awake now.
Results: $105.54 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: T 9 5 J A
UTG mucked J K and lost (-$34.68 net)
Hero showed 8 A and won $103.04 ($68.36 net)
BTN mucked A Q and lost (-$34.68 net)
Getting some love at the 50z.
Jammed mostly coz of timing tells.
Should size turn larger.
Could you open up your thought process here a bit? Looks like our value-range here is pretty narrow, mostly AA/AK/KK. Obviously we're able to make him fold bigger FD's on river, but what else? TT/JJ/QQ? All the draws bricked (not many straight-draw combos he should have though)
I am a cash games noob, just trying to understand whats going on here!

Question is spot on. Its close wheather we should triple that runout.
I did have some timingtells on villain. His marginal holdings would
usually snap-call (quite general tell), when he does a bit holywood with
stronger holdings. Now thats not something one should always rely on
but way more often than not it turns out to be true.
Ill have A4s here too, AK, KK+ 23 combos.
With this river sizing im allowed to bluff 35% of the time.
Thats some 12 combos.
We got AQo (6 nonspade), AQs, (3 nonspade) and we can
pick 3 more. 76, 65 and maybe 76 could be decent choice.
In this particular case however I think id be overbluffing slightly on purpose.

Whats up boys and girls.
Havent been updating in a while - not too much happening.
BE at cash, bit down in MTTs. Last night 24th in the big22 but
barreled off into nuts.
Preflop: Hero is UTG with A A
Hero raises to $2.17, MP raises to $8.01, CO folds, BTN calls $8.01, 2 folds, Hero raises to $27.50, MP folds, BTN calls $19.49
