Hey,
I'm 21 year old guy from Finnland passionate of poker, sports, music and travelling.
I also like to debate a lot which is probably the thing that made me fall in love with poker. I used to think poker as some sort of war but once I developed as a player I started seeing it more mathematically and became more solid mentally too. Nowadays I don't mark opponents as "better than me" or "worse than me" I just try to find out what they are doing and go from there. That's my mindset and I feel it makes me pretty strong because for me there is nothing personal in losing, winning, getting owned etc. where there is for the one's who see poker as a "war". I think this is a huge mindset thing and those who are in the state of approaching the game seeing opponents as warriors end up usually being too much of fighting stations and disrespecting the mathematics and adjusting wrong to pretty much everything. Respecting other players and trying as hard as you can to play the ranges perfectly until knowing what someone is doing wrong is the way to approach.
My big dream was to become a cash game pro for a long time but however I was more succesful at MTT's because they are much softer. Anyhow I don't have much passion to MTT's I find them boring and exhausting. This year I bought pokersnowie and started to work on my ranges a lot more ending up finally showing profit at nl100 zoom games and lately playing CG's only with pretty good results. At the moment my BR is round 10k usd and I'm taking shots to nl200. I'll still probably stick to nl100 on weekdays and keep taking shots on weekends when the games are obv. softer.
I started this blog for four reasons 1) I want to improve my game 2) I want to find out what I want to do with my life 3) I want to share things I've figured out about poker and help those who are struggling to move up to find the strenght and knowledge to improve 4) I want to improve my english sry. for the typos and bad grammar I can speak quite fluently but writing is completely different thing. Back to number 2. which distubs me the most: I'm not entirely sure if I want to go pro on poker but I also have no interest to go to uni when I'm that close reaching the "pro levels" on poker. Poker is just so much of a loners job and I'm no more that sure if it fits for me. Pretty much everyone else is working or studying and as poker pro you have the freedom to do whatever you wish but you end up being alone quite a lot. Maybe I will go pro move to Thailand for a while or something and spent some time with other like minded pokerplayers etc. satisfy the passion to travel be young and free see how things go financially but keep my eyes open if I want to start doing something different. I already was one month in Thailand and Cambodien last year and I liked it there. Anyhow summer is coming and that's the best time in Finnland so I'll stick here for a while.
Ps. I'm also looking for a studybuddy if you are winning at nl100 or above and interested in making a sweat session or hand analysis or doing some range work contact me.

Yesterday +2k playing nl200 mainly. Today +800. Running good and playing pretty well. I lost my Hem database because of some error once I try to import old hands after downloading postgres and HEM again the error appears again. I decided not to try anymore importing the hands doesn't matter that much.
I like to play 200nl I feel like being more excited and hitting new ideas what to develop on my game etc. Atm I'm turning my sleep pattern around so that I sleep at night and wake up early in the morning. I've been awake for 24hours now so I'll hang on till 6pm.
Some hands
1) villain plays 21/18 and sb & bb are both regulars so I don't see him flatting that much 55/66 here. Anyhow having no backdoor FD + multiway my CR sucks it's too loose. Turn we kind of have to bet since he may have 77-88 if he is suscpicous + we get the gutter. River is close we may miss value vs. 55-66 if we check but as I didn't expect him to have them much I thought it's better to go with the check. Anyhow I don't like my flop play its too wide and leads to problems. So after turn it should be a 3 barrel obv. on most runouts I think.
According to snowie we should not lead the river. Anyhow I had villain tagged as stationy so I decided to go for it. I think if we start leading the river our range ends up being too valueheavy but not leading it ends up letting villain to check back a lot of Ax stuff we might get value from. His call w. AQ is too loose. I think the river is okay as an exploitative play.
Suprisingly the flop should be a cbet even w/o backdoors. I guess its because of positions ranges are looser. I guess villain has quite a lot 9x / AQ here so probably better to bet small on turn than go for the x/call being even more faceup. I'm not sure about the river blockbet it doesn't accomplish much if he ships we have to fold since I expect him to have 9x reasonably lot in his range + the AQ I expect him to give up or call. I think as a block bet this may be okay but probably should bet smaller if at all.
This should be a straightforward cbet and then giving up a lot.. The cR is kind of ******ed since we don't have much hands that want to realy be doing it for value. I felt that villain probably bets w. a hand like T9 and we can go for a small CR to get him off but probably not working often enough because he probably expects my checking range to be reasonably x/call heavy not give up heavy but on the other hand our betting range should be big here and have not that much checking range on this monoflop I guess.
Pre iso. vs fish. flop is borderline cbet. Turn is alright river borderline cause we can pretty much narrow him to AK, AQ or being a huge station which makes me think on the river there's not enough folding equity.
Close on the flop the guy was a fish if I remember right, thought he just b/folds a ton on this + overs are mostly alive + can't realy float w/o backdoors vs 2/3p imo. River is wp.
Hmm. after taking a closer look at many hands I can't realy say that I've been playing great by anymeans so will not post a graph. Satisfaction kills desire.

Hmm. after taking a closer look at many hands I can't realy say that I've been playing great by anymeans so will not post a graph. Satisfaction kills desire.
There is no way QJdd is a cbet 4 ways.
Yes I think you are right, according to snowies ranges it's losing like 3bb's. Also the call from sb w AK was probably BE at best.
Fixed my sleeping schedule and woke up 3 am today. I don't feel super fresh a little bit burned out but had the hunger to play well and do my very best at the tables and I also played pretty well.
I would like to open up a hand which led me to think about GTO:
1) My turn thought process was that we are checking overpairs for potcontrol and betting for 3 streets with a polarized range so I chose to overbet. My thought process was completely wrong. It's not the case here I understood it fairly fast and even checked with snowie. We want to bet overpairs on turn like 90% of time there's plenty of value I was somehow afraid of the trips though villain doesn't have a lot of them since he only defends some suited combos of 5x. I need to improve in thinking of combos while playing. Anyhow looking at the hand now the slight overbet is probably not that bad for our entire range vs someone who knows how much he should be defending. The overbet puts 88-77 into a bad spot + the 9x he has to defend on turn but it's slight -EV call on the river. If we pot river snowie says it's 0ev but he mostly has to call. So is my overbet gametheoretically a mistake on the river if we give him -EV call with the 9x which is the biggest part of his range. If we give him the EV on 0 he has to call some of the time but fold some of the time and it's more likely he will end up having wrong frequencies which would give us an idea of bluffing less or more? But then it isn't GTO it goes back to exploitative play doesn't it? I'll definitely look at the next parts of Toy game series from Sauce I guess there will be the answear to a lot of things..
Villain seemed to be an overly agressive and suspicious playertype. My line will lead us having to guess on the river reasonably often but I think we could do this with Kx and he probably gives up most parts of his bluffing range. This is generally ofc. not a genius line or anything but vs. the playertype I described we will see him bluffing the turn too wide & floating the flop too wide.
This was reasonably interesting vs. quite a loose agressive regular. I was expecting his turn betting range to be reasonably polarized here and this hand has obv good blockers so it's not having much of a difference to AJcc.. Snowie says it's -0.36bb call which basically means borderline imo. Anyhow I think it's unneccessary we could hae the nuts with KQ

+1k day. Happy of running so well finally.. I kind of like playing 200nl because I can see people making bluffs on spots the nitty nl100 population doesn't bluff. Played another session today after running and was happy about my concentration and play. My last 200nl results so far hope the rungood will continue! Will look part the part 2 of toygaming series and then I'm done for today.
Watched the part 2 today I was too tired yesterday. Now I feel like understanding somewhat some big theory concepts and having the tools to work more on my ranges and try to get better... Played a session and made quite a few big mistakes partly because of being tired and partly because of overtrying.
H1) villain seemed very Lag defending a lot vs 3b raising a ton + also have seen him make a mistake. He seems open ep like 18-24% has called 3bet 5/7 times so probably higher Ev to go for a bet on the flop vs. him. He seemed to raise cbets a decent amount of time but sample is too small to know for sure how much. Vs anyone somewhat solid the turn as played will end up being heavily losing but not sure vs. him. That being said not enough info we should approach this probably the standard way by xback flop if we expect him to be way out of line then as played can be fine I would not be suprised if he does this w. 99-TT maybe AT or KQ, AK easy to find him overbluffig if he is a complete monkey (flop cbet 90%) so he probably is at least somewhat.
To conclude imo. going for the assumption he is spazzy enough we can cbet and play for stacks on the turn. If not we should go for x/back flop. Bet calling flop and finding a fold on a brick turn is it an option? I'm not sure.
H2) I hate myself for the river overbet it's completely ******ed since we have so much flushes in our range which we should be checking so it's a 50% bet sometimes with a King boat and sometimes just a check for balance. I was just thinking that making a slight overbet w a polarized range is good here but I clearly end up having not enough bluffs for this sizing and he'll end up finding a easy fold w. hands like TT, JJ. 9x he doesn't have much.
River I rep 99, AQ, Q9, trying to get him of 88,77 I think it's a bluff we can occasionally make since we don't have much bluffs as played on the river. His raise is completely ******ed since he is capped to 9x. Was considering jamming but I think he'll level himself to call. Can also be my timings were so obv. I'm doing this so he just ended up thinking 9x is always the nuts but not sure if many are that good.

Couldn't get sleep yesterday evening though I exercised and felt relaxed,
layed in my bed until 4am and gave up trying to sleep. Made some coffee and breakfest, started grinding nl200. Not sure wtf. is wrong with me not succeeding to fix the sleeping schedule. I think today I'll try hang on till 6pm and then try to sleep 10-12hours.
H1) suprised how poor the equity of 67 was : 26% vs these hands. Nice stackoff by fish w. 78. Not sure whether I should raise vs. the potsize bet - I guess it don't matter that much.
H2) vs. a random fish. I guess we run often enough to something random here though it's close. Having 99 and AQ and AKo I think we may even find a fold on the turn with this w/o reads. Just feel like running to AQ+ here a ton.
H3) BB is a nitt according to his stats but had him tagged as too agro / making mistakes. Turn is close imo between betting and checking, getting raised it gets close but I guess he is creative enough to overbluff with QJ, KQ, JT if my read is correct. River T blocks QT from my range and AQ is only partly in my range and being said he may raise turn with QJ, KQ it's not going to be a great bluffing opportunity for us but by checking we end up losing maybe even more. Haven't checked this with snowie but I guess it will suggest turn x/c as played turn b/fold and the river we have probably slight +EV bluff.

Haven't checked this with snowie but I guess it will suggest turn x/c as played turn b/fold and the river we have probably slight +EV bluff.

think you should bet the turn much bigger considering all of your range is really weak. betting 10 into 18 is just asking for trouble imo.
don't mind betting turn at all, river it depends whether he is turning hands like JT into bluff. I wouldn't be surprised it's a call vs some esp when the heart missed but having Kh just kinda kills it.

I don't think x/ re-evaluate turn vs. 2 opponents would be bad by any means. If they are both willing to get action on the turn we can find an easy fold but if one of them bets we can call and re-evaluate river.

played 2.2k hands today and ended up 1k down. I stopped immediately playing when I noticed that I'm starting to raise flops too wide and fall into autopilot. I think I'll move down to nl100. I have no need to force myself to play 200nl and my hourly rate is probably higher at 100nl + there is plenty of things I learned at nl200 that I can now approach at nl100 in my advantage. Actually I don't feel bad at all about having a losing day as well as I didn't felt super happy for having winning days - I think this means I'm getting mentally stronger. Money should not be affecting my game or how I feel in general. It's easy to see yourself being a great player while running good and a terrible player while running bad but now I try to get deeper into understanding how running bad affects my game Atm.
H1) Unneccessary 3bet I would say, though not terrible. River my alarms should have ringed that it's nl100 where people are generally not bluffing this enough. -> fold a mixed strategy hand.
H2) not my standard 4bet. Turn fold is good.

H3) Vs. fish the river should be an fold imo. Having 77-99 and some Tx we can fold this. even he may bluff some 45ss or Ax but we even block Ax. I don't like my call.
H4) Vs fish I think preflop is fine. Turn I want to cut his range to Ax make him fold the rest. I think it works vs. some "educated" fishes but some will be happy to call with any PP so this may end up losing even it's close though and I kind of like the idea because often they start betting with straights.
H5) A short stack reg, preflop call ends up losing 1.31bbs playing snowies ranges. Flop 70% fold 30% all-in both are having the EV 0. Was considering it but ended folding the flop kind of shows how ****ty hand KJss is to play with this SPR. -> fold pre
H6) I think my line is good at nl200. I block 45 on the river and it's a spot population probably overbluffs because I'm somewhat capped. Checking back river is fine too hard to say if betting is higher EV I would not be bluffing this much cause of expecting the xR to come reasonably often so maybe x/back is higher EV. Snowie says bet some time check some time if bet X/call ends up -1bb/Ev. Another player dependent hand / ( no player reads -> population? = agro -> call)
H7) He seemed to be a stationy & agressive player. 88 ends up being a better river bluffcatcher than QQ or JJ imo. cause of not blocking the AQ and AJ and since he is polarized repping some 77, AK if he is bad he can't vbet QQ which generally 3bets we also don't block the missed FDs. Could argue we can have AK or 99 and make a fold with this. Pretty close imo.
H8) This was vs. an agro & stationy guy. If he calls flop too wide with hands like KQ and starts betting too wide with bluffcatchers and bluffs the floats on turn which can well be the case the EV of checking the turn becomes better than betting -> check. River is a brick nothing else but a brick. I could even overbet and probably get called too wide by the guy once he jams I pretty much snapped. He probaly 4bets AK+ pre and most not good players just call with a hand like AK. So I was expecting to see AQ, AJ all day. Snowie says my river call is huge mistake but I disagree. Running to quads is obv. a cooler... The river problem is that we want to know villain is completely ******ed and I didn't realy had the read I only knew he calls down light and barrels wide but that's not a huge info. ... he just reps a few slowplays thats it so I guess it's okay play..
To conclude my analysis : I start being a bit too suspicious & calling a bit too loose while running bad or playing B-game. Nothing huge but definitely something to keep in mind.

Hey man,
as I already mentioned, i'm also a regular in the 100nl zoom games.
As the previous months were great, I also made some shots at the 200nl this month. Unfortunately it didnt work out and it costed me about 20 buy ins.
I also came to the conclusion that for some reason I was suspicious all the time and ended up calling off way too much. It's because you know that the players at 200nl are definitely alot tougher and are willing to put you to the test all the time. And by knowing that, you do level yourself alot more than you do at 100nl.
Take care and see you at the tables!

Hey Steven thanks for your feedback!
You are right. Most nl200 regulars are better players than the most nl100 regulars. Many nl100 regulars know how to have a solid gameplan and how to play their range at most spots but once someone is doing something unexpected many of them get crazy with hands they should be just folding. The value of the game comes by playing solid poker and of course from understaning population tendencies better and better. Nl200 is different because most regulars playing there are pros and obviously pretty good at the game.
Yesterday I played 2h between 2-4 am. ended up like 500-600 on profit at nl200. I played only because I knew it's the best time to play (weekend, night time) but I was completely exhausted and unmotivated to play. Not because of losing periods or disinterest towards poker but just because of having played too much. I'm burned out! Today I went to my friends birthday party and drunk six beers and a half from half liter scotch bottle. After people were leaving to bar I went home because no interest in having hangover tomorrow. Now I'll take two days off from poker even though sunday would be a good day to play (fish play CG's cause of sunday million and other high tournaments) but I want to get fit and feel alive and motivated to play again so the only help will be to take a break.
I want to write about my life situation a little : I still live with my parents even I'm 21 years old! (yes sounds ridicolous even to myself but time goes fast) I've been looking for appartment but not having a match because the rents are high in Helsinki. On the other hand many of my friends work and can't save much after paying rent, bills etc. do a job they don't like and have no change to get into a next level in life. But I perceive them to be in a higher level than me because of they are atleast living on their own!. Anyhow I'm not super unhappy living in my parents appartment (better income with poker than by doing some ****ing killing McJob + I even can save money) I would not be satisfied at all working for someone else doing a job I hate just to pay my rent and bills. It would be like mental and spiritual disaster for me. Anyhow I feel that now is the time to get the hell out of here, just book the one way flight to Asia and start building things on my own. Having 10k bankroll and the ambition to succeed will make me succeed and live an adventure. My argument not to do it yet was that "summer time is nice in Finnland", **** that it's not nice if you are not on your own.... I don't have much that would hold me back to be honest so I guess I'll clear things out and book a flight soon! I'm tired of hearing that I should apply to university and start studying something I don't give a **** about. I don't want to rule out studying at some point I may do it even though at the moment my interests are poker and getting away from a place I've lived for 21 years at. I want to experience freedom. My mindset about money is that I'm ready to lose every ****ing penny if I have to lose! I am a gambler and part of gambling is losing. If I don't accept losing I hold things back and can't experience freedom in life. **** GENERAL EDUCATION and **** the ****ing stupid bull**** people worship without understanding how simple everything is!!! You get what you want and the most difficult part is to find out what you want to know and to master! Once you are there you can ask yourself why the hell people want to know some bull**** about politics or history or what the **** ever if they can only use it into their advantage in some conversation with some "educated" people so that you they can prove themselves being smarter than the others! It's just all waste of time! This has been annoying me because so many people close to me have no real desire to anything so they mask behind trying to show that they ****ing master "general knowledge" proving themselves being great at understanding such things though their knowledge is obviously ridicolously capped and undefined ... ! Negative, jealous and unambitious people will always exist but I don't want to stand them anymore in my life so I guess it's time for me to get off.

I've been putting in volume today and yesterday, I felt kind of refreshed after going out with people and had no hangover!
I still make mistakes and especcially today I played too agro a bit and b-game for half of the time atleast. Nl200 seems actually much harder than I expected while I was running good. If I'm winning there it will be like 0.5-1.5 bb/100 atm. At nl100 my winrate is something between 3-3.5 I guess.

Some hands:
H1) The reg called me ****ing idiot after this. Preflop this would generaally play better as a call 3betting would be good vs. people who call a ton and open loose mp. As played vs. the 4bet my flat is imo not terrible but not great. Snowie says it ends up like -2bb with snowies ranges. Flop we could jam but calling is okay vs. small size. Turn we might potentially have a hand like TT + we can't x/call this and shoving to make him fold a hand like AJo or AQo is not that terrible. Imo not even that terrible play and thanks to him calling me idiot I did re-evaluate this. Btw, very good players never start name calling etc. stuff because after someone plays bad theey understand that they gained EV so why teach the fish or other regular?
H2) We lose a lot EV by not raising the flop according to snowie. It was suprising.
H3) His call with AK ends up heavily losing. The nl200 population seems to hate folding anything is 4bet pots. Jammin 9x and some slowplays get better if he never folds AK here. Even the 45 has 55% vs AKo.
H4)
I think it's close whether in these positions this is a flop we can use a small sizing for our entire range. The more loose agressive villain is the more often he probably 3bets TT and AK's in these positions so our range advantage is kind of big but we still don't often have 3 streets of value. Anyhow I think I can value 3bet the flop vs the huge amounth of draws he has and bet a brick turn & x back river. This should play fine that way imo. If he jams over my raise I think he just has a monster draw or the set or twopair -> fold w/o some huge reads. On turn snowie suggests to start bluffing with this which I think may be better than the check. But if we bet villain calls mostly with like stronger FDs, sets+ twopairs. If use this as a bluff I guess we could jam a brick river and villain has to fold hands like KT and Ax because it looks super strong. But as played I check back and decided to jam because I woul've played KQ probably the same way and obv. blockers + his sizing. It's true I don't rep. much but on the other hand what would I realy be bluffing here. A hand like TJ I can rep too I guess. His call is imo. hard to understand
H5) according to snowie here calling vs. the jam ends up being 0.01- EV. Villain was 1tabler (fish) I think we can't be folding though it's a spot we end up mostly running to flushes but fish do random things who knows if he has a set which he wanted to slowplay and the 3rd flushcard makes him scared so that he jams.

2) Just raise fold the river. He can't have a lot of flush combos but no reason to expect getting exploited or re-bluffed with a blocker like ever here imo.. Snowie says it's wp but I think in reality we just run to nutflush all the time OTR

I think I've noticed a leak in my game and it is bluffing too wide & fastplay shoving hands on 4bet pots. Also vs. his big sizing pre we can fold. But the flop (according to snowie ends up as -10bb shove). I just felt ingame that he probably bets more polarized using the 1/2p sizing which means he bets hands such KQ to make me uncomfortable to flat AK AQ, but vs those hands + vs AKs etc. this plays perfectly as call + shove turn if checked to but facing a turn bet clear fold.

I was too tired while playing this. I messed up positions and though this is me flatting button raise pre. Anyhow this is not that terrible imo. in these positions but definitely not highly winning. His jam is terrible the biggest mistake was not to check if he is a fish or not cause vs. most fish this ends up being terrible.
Time to move down to nl100. I'm kind of mentally not ready for 200nl I'm not making huge mistakes but still starting to play too agro because of running bad. Could have saved 60bbs in the flush hand + the 78 4bet pot is also quite terrible + some other nobrainers. But no reason to judge myself it's good to try and not be afraid of making mistakes. Moving up means a lot trial and error.

don't think h1 is standard, should just c/f turn. his continue range on the flop doesn't really fold much on that turn. and you don't block any of his effective Flushes on the river. ie: he is not gonna call hands like A2-A9s pre.
h2 I think you just call river
you missing the HH for h5 though
h2 I think you just call river

Hey,
Snowie says that it's clearly +EV 3barrel with the AKo we still block obv. AQ, AJ flushes on the river but yes looking at it now I think we block the hands we want him to fold and don't block hands that much he is going to call (sets , some flushes) so a hand like Kcjx would be much better 3barrel if we even need much bluffs here.
H2 snowie says by just calling river we miss 10bbs value. In practice I guess you are right - especcially raise calling his all in ends up being heavily losing cause no reg jams worse flush and no one ends up bluffing there like that.
H5 is unimportant just out of line mistake cause of messing positions.
-> now some nl100 grind

Still running a bit bad but feel like playing solid & improving and understanding better how to exploit the nl100 tendencies.
H1) He was thinking like 6 sec on flop whether to bet or not. The turn he snap bet river snap jam. He ends up being polarized which makes 66 a pretty decent bluffcatcher. Much better than AT for example. 88,99 are also bad cause of blocking potential bluffs. Turn call is debatable imo.
H2)
For sure we should be putting a lot pressure to his somewhat capped range but an unknown (prob. fish) may have broadway floats I want him to bet + making this for value will make him call maybe even wider with medium pairs on brick rivers than he would be calling vs. b-b-b. Nl100 regulars will also probably love to call the overbetshove because they know I might be doing this wide as a bluff though I would not cause it looks suspicious to them.
H3) Wp imo. Betting the flop vs. fish will be imo. much lover EV than checking since he gives us more value by starting to bluff & bet with bluffcatchers vs. check pretty often

H4) Some agre russian regular. Hah he called me idiot on chat after this. I think the weaker regulars will interpret my flop raise as a bluff the very most of the time can be that they panic jam overpairs some of the time but having 5 outs vs everything expect AA is okay and what they mostly will do is call with the overpairs (let us freeroll equity) and especially bad loose agressive regs will jam AK, AQ, KQ type of hands in with terrible equity making this an amazing valueraise on the flop.
I think for villain the best way to approach this scenario is to just have a flatting range vs. the raise and if he would knew I raise get it in A9 here he could start jamming the overpairs for value. But I think most people see hero doing this polarized with a bluffheavy range at nl100 hand go from there ending up re-reising or jamming over with bluffs and probably calling most of the overpairs which makes this easy to play.
H5)
I guess the river is fine sized vs. loose agre fish.

Bit of a downswing in the last few days but it was expected to come at some time. As we can see from the hands I've also made a bunch of mistakes so can't just blame it on running bad. Tried to shot nl200 last night when the games are at softest but w. 50 buyins it just feels better not to. If losing there lets say 10 buyins makes me unmotivated to move down and causes tilt my shot has become very expensive. I'm by no means afraid losing I'm only afraid that my subconscious mind is not ready for losing and I can't do my best playing that high with not 60bin+ roll.
Areas I want to improve and I've been experiencing uncertainty lately:
BET SIZE: I've started to use smaller betsize in most singleraised spots with many hands in spots villain will have difficulty defending properly compared to his preflop defending range. I think this will lead weaker player to make mistakes but I'll have to work more on which turns to then continue betting big and what to do where.. While playing my A-game I realize good spots to do bunch of stuff but while running bad & b-game trying to play nl200 I get into spots I think might be good to do something but start lacking the confidence because haven't worked on my game off the tables enough to have a strong intuition. These are also like math spots in the end I think and my understanding of math is poor and I don't know how to realy solve mathematically such things although I would be very interested in. I think people who have a lot of knowledge about betsizing strategies that work well are way better players than me and not interested in helping for free so I'm looking for a coach.
Not to take anything new into my game w/o thinking and understanding why it is good
As an example I watched Sauces videos which are by all means great but imperceptibly I started do stuff like call all broadway suiters from early position vs. 3-bet and 4-bet most offsuit broadways which ends up being way too loose especcialy at nl100. Watching great players play high stakes can give a great confidence boost while it looks like an easy game but it also might end up that I stop suddenly thinking by myself on ranges + the game I currently play and do things like a monkey that someone else did at nl10k which is just terrible considering the limit I play. The betsize thing falls a little bit in the same category. I also need to tight up 4-bet calling ranges OOP vs. COs 4bets according to poker snowie I lose money flatting 4bets with hands like T9s in positions CO vs blinds. I also need to improve in thinking of ranges when more deepstacked. I try not to play 200bbs deep especcially nl200 because I haven't worked much on my deepstack game except watching some videos & handhistories having okay understanding of many concepts but not strong enough I want realy to do it if I don't have to. Playing zoom I don't have to.
Amazing how running everyday + taking a ice cold shower adds like 3-4 hours for me time I can concentrate in a day. I use to do lifting but got bored and now getting into shape and losing weight a bit. I'm atm like 185 cm 85kg would be happy to drop 5kg.

Keeping up grinding & studying sometimes having errors in my thoughtprocess etc. but I'm also starting to understand blockers much better. Experimenting stuff a little bit at regular tables, more time to think & less tables actually a pretty fun thing to do if you want to improve. Compared to just play always zoom & pick hands from there.
H1) On the river he considered valuebetting or not for a while which makes his range more AQ, AJ heavy than AK. I also think KK, AA, AK would go bigger usually and try to look more polarized so I think vs. his sizing usually calling ends heavily losing shoving very + EV. Though can't rep much but 33, some AK, KQ, . Villain was opening fairly loose so and bb is fish so I think this will be a pretty good flat pre.
H2) the same idea not blocking missed FDs but blocking top two and JT I think vs. population his call with two pair ends up losing at 50nl especially.

Played over 4k hands yesterday. I was running well and pretty motivated. Ended 1,6k up which is one of my biggest days in cash games ever. I did a sweat session yesterday and handanalysis day before yesterday with a new studybuddy whose quite a bit better than me. We found out that I'm overthinking in some basic spots and doing stuff like isolating fish too wide and 3-betting too wide in some positions. I'm very happy of the reasonable advice I've been getting and it's been fun and exciting to talk about poker. I'm still looking for more studybuddys.
Biggest pot yesterday. Snowie says the turn can be x/or bet I think by betting the turn we let ourselves to have less guess work on a lot of rivers.

Month +7k usd. A lot from that by rungood (last 45k hands ev +300 results +4k w/o rb) Before that I was running a bit below ev this month so it was definitely + month on ev too. Anyhow my gut feeling is that I can beat with my current game the nl200 if I mainly play my A-B game and cut tables to 3. The 4th table has been a problem for a while it makes me autopilot.
Goals for next month: / To do list
- Stay disciplined current BR round 13k at 10k move down to nl100.
- While focused put volume in rather on nl200 while feeling bit tired nl100
- Do more sports that this month (now my left heel is aching even walking hurts so start swimming & gym cause can't do running.
- Study snowies preflop ranges (already started taking screenshots and saving them to my pc)
- Keep posting hands here + do sweat sessions and handanalysis with other people (ofc. only if they are willing to do it )
- Watch toy gaming series + start read applications of no limit holdem (just bought it and not so sure how uptodate it is but still can't do any harm)
- Go out atleast two times but don't get hangover, drink too much. I think its maybe even less bad to get hangover & day or two off than to burn out.
- Maybe get couching (talking about making a deal with one but nothing sure yet).
- Be ready to take a downswing & check this list in the day everything seems to be going wrong!
I'm now feeling relieved cause I decided to continue taking poker seriously and not have to think about applying to uni. or studying anything I don't realy care about. I'm also planning to move to Asia but the timing is still uncertain. I want to have a healty bankroll so it might be better to stay the summer home and do it next autumn. I think my parents have started to understand how serious I am about poker cause they've seen how hard I work everyday and ask me how if I'm winning or losing etc. but I still keep hearing that I should apply to uni. or do something else which means they still don't fully accept it.. and considering my age it's anyways time to move out for me. Ofc. I'm thankfull I can live at my parents and without this opportunity it would have never been possible to play poker fulltime and build up bankroll.
Today I'll go out with friends BBQ and Sauna we celebrate the May day this weekend in Finnland. Can't wait I realy deserve to go out !!
