I've enjoyed following some of these threads, and i think it could be a good way too keep myself on the right track, hopefully some of you will find it at least entertaining. I will try to keep this thread updated once a week at least in the beginning. My goals right now is as follows, by at least january 1 move up to plo100€ and then in 2015 make at least 100k$ profit from poker incl. rakeback etc.
Some background: I played poker "professionally" for 2 years in 2007-2008, i was playing nl100 and 200$ and it happened out of the blue, i had a ****ty job and won 8k$ in a tournament, and then quit my job and started playing full time. I was not very professional about it, and i dont think i was very good and didnt put in much work to improve myself, and my volume was not ambitious, but the games were soft enough that i managed to make it last 2 years without other income, having normal expenses - even though i tilted often, and sometimes chased loses at blackjack etc. looking back im surprised i didnt go broke before. This was around 2008, I think i was 21 when this ended, im 27 now. So in the years between these has been long periods when i didnt play, and some where i played from time to time. When I played i played plo tournaments mostly and have done pretty good in them, the highpoint being when a won a scoop 55$ plo 6max in 2013. This year i played alot of plo tournaments during the summer, i didnt get into the education i had applied for, so I was thinking about again giving poker a serious shot. I have played some plo cash from time to time, with mixed results but overall ok. If i am to play plo seriously cash is the way to go, so last month i set the goal of playing 30khands at plo50€ with a profit, and if i could do that i would keep going, trying to get better. That is done now and i managed to win some 21 buy ins plus i get 40% rakeback, so im ready to take it as far as i can, hope i will run good here in the beginning Im gonna start to take shots at plo100€ when i have around 80 buy ins or something, right now i have maybe 55 or something. My living expenses are not so high, i live in a place for students(a dorm or something its called?), so i think rakebacke alone will cover that if i play 50k hands a month, which is my goal. Talk to you later

Yesterday the site where i play was down, so i decided to play some tournaments instead which didnt go to well, i didnt cash a single time and lost 340$. It just reminded me that i should stick to playing cash only, the loss hurt a little and especially nl tournaments is not something im very good at, and when it comes to plo tournaments, the game and the way people play is very different from cash, so can be confusing to switch between both, so i should just focus only on cashgames.
Today I played 1k hands so far and won 161$, ive been running really good in cash so far this month, which is very nice since i ran bad in the beginning, so both my confidence and br needed the boost. Todays biggest hand

In his shoes i like checking the turn better, but i think that caractherizes(?) many regs at these stakes, that if people check back flops in big pots they attack to wildly sometimes, without being very balanced. Like this one for another example:

IPoker, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #31608031

      CO: $50 (100 bb)
      Hero (BTN): $75.79 (151.6 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 A 2 A
MP raises to $1, CO folds, Hero calls $1, SB folds, BB raises to $4.25, MP calls $3.25, Hero calls $3.25

      Flop: ($13) T A Q (3 players)
BB checks, MP checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($13) 7 (3 players)
BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $8.20, BB raises to $32.50, MP folds, Hero calls $24.30

Im not a big grinder btw, so have to force myself to play more than 1k hands a day, so from next month min. 50k hands a month is my goal. I like to smoke weed and chill to much, but thats gotta go soon too.
