And, when i don't hit the flop I'm usually having to folding many of my hands because my Cbets don't really take down pots in these situation because like you said they are calling light. So, i can usually expect someone to have hit a flop with like 459 or be on a draw enabling them to put me off hands like KQ or medium pairs.
What I've been doing in these spots, and i don't know if this is hurting my win rate or not, is folding KQo or less and limping my pairs. It seems to be working, where as before i felt like i was just spewing money when i was 4betting KQ and medium pairs. Suited hands like KQ and even KJ or QJ i have been raising when limped around too as i have an added draw possibility.
What do you think about that?
Thanks, JR
Hey man, I like limping my pairs ( 22- 88) too, the rest I raise to isolate with. But that way if I catch a set, I have a pretty disguised hand. In regards to your win rate, if you see that they are loonies, like real loonies who call with any two any types of raises, I would suggest balancing it a bit, mixing it up. Like K Q, Q J, K J, A J, take a flop by limping with them as well and put in big raises with Q Q+, A K and maybe add A Qs as well
. ( and by big, I mean big raises, you could pot it, put it to 10x). Because if these are the types of loonies that I remember from microstakes, they ain't gonna fold even if you threaten them with a gun to the head. I once had a guy 4-bet my aces with 6 2 offsuit. And can you estimate the call/fold ratio to your 5x-6x raises?
