Played two sessions after that disastrous sunday session. Had a few close calls, including back to back final tables in the counterpunch bowl on party to limit the losses somewhat. Have to admit I feel like I didn't play my best game in past sessions, so I plan to review a lot of tournaments from today, even the ones which I busted fairly early, to take a closer look at it. Could be just variance. Something I might have to rethink however is my approach in bounty builders. I tend to build lots of stacks in those fairly early, but sometimes gamb0l it away after that. Tbh havne't done much math on them at all, and play them mainly as a feel player, so I gambol a lot and it happens a lot that I go from like 100-150bb in bb120 to busto in bb200/300 etc. Maybe that's just the nature of the bounty builders, and I have to accept it. Might do a few calculations on some calls I made today to make sure i'm not too loose. Also gonna try to sort some **** out wrt school for next year (which 'officially' starts next week) so will be a busy day. Might play a early session on saturday then, followed by a bigg session on sunday. Almost back at breakeven now for the month after a great start, which is kinda dissapointing but not the end of the world. Sunday most likely my last (full) session of wcoop, since I am going to dublin next week with some friends, to play some live pokers, drink many beers, and enjoy life.

Played the highroller, which was a 1200bi and was actually a fairly decent field. Level of play was much better than I expected, and actually played a few interesting hands. Got put in some ******ed spots, which don't occur very often,so that was rather annoying. Managed to lose over 80%-90 of hands I vpid throughout the day. Second best hand many times etc. Was a fun tournament though, even though most of the guys at my tables had a clue. Eventually busted a2s vs qjo for remaining 18bbs. Some interesting hands I played.

1) I Open 300 utg utg1 call sb squuezed 1600 i call tt utg1 calls too

Flop 744r sb checks i bet 1700 utg1 makes it 4k sb folds i call
Turn king check check
River queen check guy jammed 150% pot

2) After that co opens 600 bb200 i flat btn 99 can 3bet as well both blinds fold

Flop j53r co continued 600 i pay
Turn 2 co continued 2k i call so far std
River 7 co bet 6k pot'ish

3) open co a9ss 500 btn 1350 i flat from 16k stack

Flop akjccx i x/c 1k bet
Turn 3o check check
River 7 check he bets pot

4)

Limp 54ss from 30bbs bb400 in sb, bb checks
Flop 589sxx x/c 550 bet
Turn qs check check
River 7 I bet 60% villain folds a queen face up

5) this was actually in sat to main

Open kjdd co 525 bb calls
Flop q65r check I bet 425 call
Turn t he leads 1k i call
River t he leads 1.5k I make it 5.1 from 9k start

Tmrw 550 main, also 6max, just as all other tournaments hete. 2 bullets possible each day. Feeling very good about my game, even thouugh i bricked everything pretty bad so far. Let's go.

Well that was quick. Regged bb200, got up to 40k real quick only to bust twice b4 bb500.
First lost sizeable pot bvb with qk vs aq on qxxxx then 3b pre and b/b/jammed ajo on 83234. Second bullet busted in 3 hands. Defend bb x/f flop, open btn a5dd blinds call and I gii vs ajo on a3jddx for 40bb each. Brickcityclique and fastest bust ever. Tmrw 2 more bullets in main, gonna hop in 100sko soon.

Meh busted 3rd bullet of main 2nd last level of day. Couln't get much going the whole day, but stayed disciplined and even passed up on some possible marginal bluffing spots, so was proud of myself. Never surged above 35k from 20k start. Busthand was kinda interesting.

Open j9ss utg 21k bb1600 to 3500, co splashy dutch guy flats, bb friend of mine calls too. They both have ovdr 100k.

Flop jtxddh (jack of hearts) actually not sure what the third card was, rather a blank though. So 6 or below. My friend checks and I have 17k left in 12.5k pot. Cutoff super splashy calling lots of suited connectors etc. Think really interesting but believe I made the right choice by jamming. Wouldn't mind some thoughts.

At bottom of shoving range/very marginal shove + friend in bb figured would be decent open.

Bricked 4 more timbeys today. Got to the point where all the regular cashiers know me and the brushes are needling me. Great 10/10.

Ok dublin was interesting. Had a very good time there, despite running like absolute **** in all the tournaments I played. Played like 15 NLHE tournaments, and didn't come anywhere close to the money in any of them. Played fairly well overall I believe. Mincashed a omaha turbo in the end, which felt like a bit of a troll haha. I don't know much about PLO tournaments, but I could tell the level of play was just terrible. People 3 barreling QQ78 on Q94QA for value (???) and me crycalling with 99xx etc Got short towards the bubble, which put me in a few spots where I had absolutely no idea. Eventually called my 4.5bb off in the bb vs an utg shortstack with 89t5 single suited who had aat7 and board ran out t9xax Oh well, was happy I mincashed at least one tournament.

When it was all over, as we went to back the appartment the last night, it was weird for me. I had so much confidence going in, and I just kept bricking tournament after tournament, meanwhile all the other guys were having decent scores/were up a decent amount. Don't get me wrong, I was happy for them and I wanted them to be succesful, but yeah very mixed feelings bc I feel like there is no one - and it's perhaps not even close -who invests as much time to studying and playing poker as me (from our group), and then I am the one who was down heaps, while all the others were up at least 4 figures. This combined with my results online for the past couple of years left me a bit sad. Our group actually had a sick week with a 2x 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5 final tables total on an avg of maybe 10-12 mutually played tournaments. I believe we were up 5 figures, despite me losing chuncks. Oh well, **** happens. Will definitely be back next year there, since it's by far the most enjoyable series of the year. Really well organized, and 6max is just so much more fun wrt live poker.

Played a small online session on monday with no results worth mentioning and studied a lot yesterday. School has started as well this week, but haven't visited a lecture yet, but plan on doing so starting from next week. Wrt poker, I guess I'm gonna try to keep playing 3/4 days a week for now. Games should be super soft, bc everyone is oi after WCOOP anyway. In the meanwhile, there is not much else I can do besides grinding and working hard.

Yikes, that's all there is to say about tonight's session

Busted 44 bounty builder semi deep with tt vs qk on qt9 board ran out king king
Busted 215 battle royale with qq vs 88 on 455 for heapsssssss, why do I even bother highstakes
Jammed QQ into KK on ft of 109 weigh in for another dissapointing ft finish

And to wrap it all up we got this beauty with last 2 tabs contender, super soft field. was close to folding flop already yikes. Not sure whats the best riverplay. I think he might crycall 99 & some trapped KK+ with this sizing and is not vbetting those.

I went over my last 2 month (500 games) final tables distribution and it makes me sick to my stomach. Not even a single top 4 finish for over 2 months, awesome.

In other news, WCOOP replays are in the lobby, and I am gonna be watching a lot of them, and actively taking notes on some tendencies/plays/whatever the guys who are winning all the money are doing.

Another bad day meh. Also have a pretty bad cold, which is annoying, hopefully fully recovered before sunday. Think I am going to take two full days off. Have a lot of things on my mind, run pretty bad, even started to semitilt at times, which hasn't happened in months and it's just bc there is a lot of chaos in my life atm, and I don't know where to begin first to deal with everything. Anyway, did my finances after todays session, so at least I got that out of the way. Make up has pretty fast surged to 20k+ again, which is a bit demotivating since I got very close to that elusive 4 fig mark.

Let's bring in some positivity with a great motivational video instead See you all on sunday

Haha thanks mate! Fortunately was well enough recovered and pretty pleased with the grind overall. Actually made a rule that I would do 20 push-ups in every break, and it really kept me sharp all day and it kinda broke the boring grind routine. Def going to do things like this more in the future. Poker-wise played 40 mtts, made two final tables of bowls, but couldn't get better than a 6th & 8th place AGAIN so was not able to save the day. It's super weird btw, the more I keep studying - improving, the worse my winrate is becoming. LOL_VARIANCE I guess (last 50k hands ev bb/100 is at 4) or that's what I hope at least ^^

My favourite hand of the day

guess that was not a really good 4b jam then Villain had 12% 3b over decent sample ^^

And there was this one. This is with 10 or 11 left, avg is about 25bbs, and this is like #2 vs #3 in chips. WOULD REALLY LOVE SOME COMMENTS ON THIS ONE. I strongly feel that this is an icm fold (close or not close, depends on ranges you assign) but I think there are arguments to ignore ICM sometimes and this is a spot to which that applies. Usually party endgames play super shallow anyway, and rather topheavy, so maybe I can just ignore ICM and 'gamb0l' here. Please let me know your thoughts.

Actually just decided I'm gonna do an early morning grind (well make it more like a early afternoon grind) VAMOS
