Saved the day with a 2nd (#teamcantclose) in a party timbey for a small win, believe I played very well today and overall have been super happy with the way I'm playing lately. My posture during grind is also much better, mindset is too, everything is falling into its place it seems. Currently at a point in my game, where I have so much confidence in my decisions, bc I've put in so many hours of study, knowing the answers to a lot of spots, which is an amazing feeling. ^^

Unfortunately not gonna be able to play on sunday, bc apparently there is some football match going on in the evening. Hopefully back at it on monday.

Well wrt POI, I guess it depends heavily on whether you like the 'vibe' of the show or not. I mean, sure lots of things seem unrealistic, but the purpose of the show wasn't to be a realistic, non-fictional series afaik. For me, first season with the weekly cases was alright, but it only got to me when the bigger storylines got introduced. This happened towards the end of season 1 I believe, and I thought it was very well written overall given how much of the subplots actually turned out to have a bigger meaning and fitted well in the grand scheme of the show. I've heard lots of mixed feelings about this show already, but I guess you just have to decide if the theme/storyline could possibly attract you. I chatted with blakk a bit about it today, but he apparently hated everything, storyline included, well then pbb the show wasn't just for you.

Grammen, I've watched lots already, usually not into thriller/horror/fantasy series though. Also haven't watched most of the classics either (such as the wire, breaking bad, etc bc i don't know why haha) Watch mainly lots of comedies though. Let me see, have watched

Billions
Fargo
Californication
Community
Eastbound & down
Entourage
Franklin & Bash
House of cards
How to make it in america
Modern family
Narcos
Power
Person of interest
Rome
Shameless
Silicon valley
Suits
BBT
Two and a half men

and still forgetting some. I usually watch series as pure entertainment.

Today was a good day. Day started with a ft bubble in the drago on party, but I built tons and tons of stacks and ran pure when it mattered the most for once. Won the 27 deep outright, chopped the 11r and took 4th in another party timbey for a +4k day. Ran incredibly well towards the end of the session, given I was 9/9 in 27 deep & 10/12 in 11r haha (600bb above ev haha)

Didn't play on sunday (bc of euros) neither on monday (also bc of euros haha). Probably not playing till sunday again I guess. Will go over quite a lot of hands I marked one of the following days though.

Make up is under 15k, which is the lowest it has been since WCOOP last year. VAMOS

Pretty cool belgian song imo. Alternative-low-fi-rock-indie whatever.

Wait, you haven't watched breaking bad or the wire? And you're recommending shows to people? Ffs, I'm sick of having to convince people to watch those shows, they are rated for a reason! Get to it! (BB first)

Nice day boss

Thanks guys, very happy with those results ofc, celebrated it with a fancy dinner with my parents yesterday.

So the year is half-way, so it's time for a small recap wrt poker. Volume hasn't been that great, but this is usually the case for the first half of the year, bc of all the stuff for school. Was only able to grind 3 full months basically, so it's not that bad. Hoping to boost my volume somewhat towards the end of the year now, but I'll still take quality over quantity.

Happy with results so far. Have had lots of 1-3k scores, and then 2 bigger ones. Have had lots of close calls in the big tournaments so far, so would be nice to hit one in the second part of the year, but obviously those don't come on command.

Also very happy with my approach this year, and especially during the past few months. I've found some new love for poker again, really enjoying grinding whenever I decide to. I would say this is mainly bc of all the study hours I've put in lately. It feels good to have a clue in a lot of spots ^^

Some goals for the 2nd half of the year:

[ ] Finish with ~3500 games for the year
[ ] Clear make up
[ ] Maintain this positive attitude, keep studying and thinking about all sort of spots
[ ] Be more productive whenever I'm not playing. Listen to interesting podcasts/read books/do something outside instead of endless hours of browsing on zeh interwebz

Ambitious ones

[ ] Top biggest score
[ ] Play on my own

(~7bb/100)

(1k+ scores)

well, haven't been this tilt since ages bc of software/hardware troubles. grinding at some friend's place and I basically was not able to play from 7pm to 9pm (long story short) besides playing stars on my phone. I had one table going at 830 pm euro, which is the utmost peak hour. anyway, everything was fixed around 930 pm and was able to play a decent session after that still.

I didn't play for weeks on a sunday, so I got reminded pretty hard-core how much of a pain sundays could be. I ended up having a very deep run in the warmup, where I lost 2 huge showdowns (flip & 60/40) for 2/14 & 3/12. Also lost a chiplead flip in ipoker major last 30, and I now am left with the beautiful 55 stack on stars one-tabling it for already for over 2 hours with a very comfortable stack.

Fortunately my friend is also at a ft of a deepstack timbey, which doesn't seem to be ending very soon either. It's funny but I've been in those spots so often this year (and over my career) I don't even experience tilt anymore after lots of these lost showdowns. I was 10 times more tilted by my laptop not working properly earlier today, however still hurted pretty bad in the inside, bc 5th equaled clearing make-up etc

anyway wish me luck in the stack, will try not to fall asleep

LOL

You must be fakking kidding me, ****ing 9th in the 55 stack as well at ****ing 7am. One tabled it for 5+ hours

Seriously, how much more pain do I have to experience anymore ****IGN POKERSTARS

Lost these two beauties with last 11, both vs same **** guy as well. There is just no limit to my pain on that ****ing site.

I just can't. I really can't.

Think the AT hand the double barrel is a little ambitious unless I missread suits.
Keep doing what your doing and you´ll get there, know the feeling obviously and it really hurts, but keep your head up and results will come. Just so you don´t feel lonely yesterday in the big 215 with less than 25 left chopped my AA with AK AIPF, lost AA vs TT bu vs SB AIPF for the chip lead and finally lost a 4 way all in pre with KK<AQ>AK>K9 for a top 5 stack, literally cried, but here i´m grinding again lol.

Omg haha wasn't intentional at all. It's hard to estimate my exact ABI for this summer (since I'm away from home atm) but I would guess it's something around 45-50. Mainly bc of skipping lots of silly stars turbos/hypers I guess. Quality over quantity ftw. Will come back at this when I'm back home if you remind me, will be able to tell you exactly then.

I know man, mtt's can be brutal. I always appreciate(d) your input in the strat boards on here. There is just not much time to moan about it, gotta keep our head up high and show heart. I busted the stack after 7am euro, but already was back on the grind at 5pm euro today. We got too much love for the game man. Goodluck to you too

Agreeg AT turn barrel is quite ambitious, mediocre at best indeed. Super silly river though ^^

Ugh silly day

5th, 6th, 8th and 10th and lots of other stacks

Went into early br 2/9 but couldn't get anything going. Super frustrating final table. Nothing went my way, bust spot pretty meh too. Ugh gg

Pbb back at it on sunday

So I went to play at friends's appartment from sunday till wednesday. Had a blast, was pretty unfortunate in the endstages, but was up a decent amount still. When I got home again, I got myself a new computer since motherboard was broken from my old one. Very happy with it so far.

Decided against going to a live timbey in the netherlands, and fired a session online. Didn't get much going in the first hours, however built a few stacks in the end. Busted the 109 uppercut 6m kinda unfortunate semi-deep, but found an outright win in the counterpunch for a decent day. Nearing that 4fig make-up mark. VAMOS

Had to make this ridic fold against fellow 2+2p'er Big_mick which was ****ing gross. 4betting is pbb better too pre. Think it was correct still.

Not sure if I'm gonna play on sunday bc of Euro finals. Perhaps a early session, but that feels like a waste of a sunday too. Meh, dno.

if you're folding this, you probably will stop drinking water because its possible to drown.

hehe

pbb doesn't matter bc I will never get exploited for it. my x/c range on both flop & turn is super strong, after having coldcalled a 3b pre. Esp given action/board/sizings etc. plus I don't think he jams much worse for value. Depending on how he builds his 3b range, he can have t8s, kto, kts (pbb peels those pre) and qq for value. Pretty sure he never plays kk+ this way, and thought ingame QJ and even 99 would be a pretty ambitious jam too. Plus he has ~zero blufs.

Think he can have some bluffs to attack your capped range and at this stack depth and positions can have 99 and QJ for value, but he def can have all str8s and you have none in your range.
