Have you had any extensive coaching? Or how did you reach to where youre at?
Any book/video tips etc that blew your mind?
Really appreciate it
First off: I don't think I can say I'm on the level of most 2/5+ regs yet seeing as I've only played ~4k hands at these stakes online. I am up in terms of BI over that sample, but I can tell I have a lot to learn
to answer your question: I've had no coaching. When I started out with NLHE I read a 2p2 book about LHE not realising that it was a different game to NLHE so that definitely didn't help out (lol). So after that I sort of stayed away from books with the exception of The Mathematics of Poker by Bill Chen and.. I forget the other guy. Mostly I just figured things out for myself and copied some things that I saw players do, anti-copied some others.
Here's a hand I played where I think we can do some pretty funky sizing OTT:
PokerStars,
Hold'em No Limit - $5/$10 - 5 players
Hand delivered by Pokeit
zazano (UTG): $1,020.00 (102 bb)
ttesone (CO): $2,134.43 (213 bb)
andr31123 (BU): $1,145.07 (115 bb)
DevolvedPlay (SB): $391.39 (39 bb)
TheWakko (BB): $1,000.00 (100 bb)
Pre-Flop: ($15) Hero (DevolvedPlay) is SB with 4
A
3 players fold,
DevolvedPlay (SB) raises to $27.60, TheWakko (BB) calls $17.60
Flop: ($55.20) 8
A
T
(2 players)
DevolvedPlay (SB) checks, TheWakko (BB) checks
Turn: ($55.20) A
(2 players)
DevolvedPlay (SB) ???
