good to see that online is going well bro, just multi-site when you move up imo

bum hunting reg tables at the micros will do nothing but have a negative effect on your game
i can understand at 100nl+ on other sites but 25reg on stars has to be the softest games going

I'm not sure the conclusion follows from the premise. Nothing negative about playing in soft games. I mentioned earlier I'm not looking to "improve" or "work on my game" because i don't have time to dedicate to it atm. Playing these games for fun and for money and to practice xplo stuff.

That's just an excuse tbh. If you have the time to have fun in some soft games and update this thread, then you have time to work on your game. Working on your game>making $<10/hr IMO.

Half the guys still making money bellow 3/6 have not studied in years, they either bumhunt the big sites, play american sites or rush to the new shady sites.

There's still sites poping up with large userbases and 0 regs.

I disagree with this entirely mr Clanty.

After work if he wants to have fun let him, sounds like if he was studying then he plays no poker and what's the point studying super hard and not playing at all especially when it's getting banned soon anyway.

Of course he can do what he wants... nobody is stopping him. All I was saying was that the excuse for him not having enough time is not true, there's always enough time in the day for something if you really want to do it. But that doesn't mean you have to.

I have many things in my day that I would like to do but literally don't have the time for.

Well they just banned it in australia right?

gg

Yah, think you missed the part of this thread where we talked about how little time we have.

Spoiler:
lol brb stuffing my face with food so I can vomit it up at the gym because i don't have enough time to digest it and then going to bed at 6pm so i can get up at 2:45am for a 10 hour work day.

10 hours is the dream bro

I can appreciate the time issue. Between my job which can be working anything up to 36ish hours in a row and trying to keep relationships healthy finding time for hobbies can be killer, especially ones that require a time commitment to be good.

On top of that if you want to keep a good gym schedule and have something resembling a social life poker can just have to be for fun. There are so many things I used to love that I just can't do any more. I make a conscious choice to not to a lot of things because I want to be as good as I can be and not spread myself too thinly.

I wish I had appreciated the value of time when I was younger because I would kill for an extra 8 hours a day.

I don't usually work 10 hour days, cuts too much into my poker study time. That I have.

Yeah. preach. I'm learning that my fear of working for someone else 9-5 is kind of warranted.
03-22-2017 , 02:35 AM
9-5? You'll be telling me you only work week days next

When I say 9-5 I mean a 40 hour work week for someone else. I usually work 6-2. And ofc I only work week days!? Would rather castrate myself than give up some of the tiny freedom I currently have. :")

These guys eh Parsons, I do 6:30 till between 5 and 7 and Saturdays too, was sending emails from home till 10pm other night. I'm not an employee though
03-22-2017 , 05:45 AM
I think it's different when you're an employee. Working 50 hours a week self employed and working 50 hrs a week in a dead end unskilled gig are polarities imo.
03-22-2017 , 05:53 AM
I work ~45 hours a week if I don't do any overtime.

****ing hate my job soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

It's literally the equivalent of digging holes and filling them in, day in - day out. So I relate with ya bro.

If you're doing something you enjoy and/or feel good about doing it's going to be different.

For me it's all about the light at the end of the tunnel. In 6 months time I'll have completed all of my ACA exams and then it's a year or so until the end of my training contract and I'll be done.

From there I'm not sure what I'll do but I'll be a whole lot more employable than I was 2-3 years ago.

I'm sure both meale and myself feel the same way.

it's a means to an end. Work to live, don't live to work.

I'm looking to take a sabbatical at the end of the training contract, I will have been slogging it out in London for 5 years at the point so will take some time off and see what I'm going to do with my qualifications.

move to socialist country
study 10 years on the country's dime/play poker
move to new socialist country
repeat/play poker

im getting 30k/yr to study right now and im saving all my poker earnings+foreign business profits

Im also in the process of getting my course load cut in half while retaining full time benefits(some doctors are ok with diagnosing dyslexia or ADD as as biological issue which is all that is required) also might get some free access to a chiropractor through that same student help money.

socialism is a joke, i love it.

Sounds perverse and I know that sometimes I complain about it but I also get a lot of pride and satisfaction from working really hard and trying to be the best I can be.

That is what the rich that have inherited their wealth want you to feel. They want the lower-middle class to shame each other into paying more taxes and abiding more while completely screwing/taking advantage of everyone.

And as stated, im earning my own money with poker and business. That's just free money willingly given by the same people that invented the perversion that is no child left behind.
