I once lost 2900bb playing 3 handed vs two whales, were my actual winrate was probably about 80bb/100hands but standard dev was probably 500.

Anyway, enough may-saying. You got this. And if worst comes to worst, it's not like you'll never find work again. Hope it works out for you man!

how deep does 2/5 play at crown? at the star 2/3 is 500max and 2/5 is 1k max so the games can get pretty deep especially on good tables on fri and sat night

Oh true, wasn't aware Sydney was deeper. 500 cap @ Crown I'm pretty certain.

Update - It's Done!

This past weekend I decided to play in a WPT event down the coast. A $150 main event with $50k prize pool and the "high roller" which was $350 with a $36k prize pool. In the main, I bricked both flights. In the high roller, I also bricked. One thing I've learnt is that if you're playing low-buyin live timbys, you should definitely have a pair of noise cancelling headphones. The table talk from these guys was the hardest part of the weekend - just listening to the drivel come out of their mouths, constantly, was really very very difficult.

Anyway, because I didn't get home from the coast pretty late last night, I didn't feel like going to work this morning on no sleep. I told my boss I wasn't going in and she asked me to call her when I could. I did so and she told me not to bother coming in again and that they'd pay me out the week. I had two weeks left til my final day, but looks like that's been cut somewhat short! That's okay though, I get paid a week's wage for not working which will be nice. It'll also give me some time to prepare myself for the weeks ahead.

As of a few hours ago, I am now a full time poker player. To consummate this momentous occasion, I will begin a new PGC for the road ahead. I'll link to it here once it's up, but I encourage you all to sub to the new one!
