1 more day then off to usa for holiday then 2 weeks in vegas for wsop.
200z grind is average. Running utterly terrible combined with too many barrels mean since 27th May im down $3.5k and $2k EV. So 10bi ev is really super normal. Not worrying just trying to recognize and fix the spew mistakes im making.

Hey guys, flying out to USA tomorrow morning with my fiancee Finally holiday tome has arrived. It feels surreal because ive been so busy lately.

Just finished my last 200z grind before starting to pack. Played decently today, cut down to 3 tables and sometimes 2 just to refocus and think ore about each spot. Its definitely helpful.

When I arrive in vegas on 20th June ill post my progress in here rather than creating another TR in the LVL section. Thanks for following.

Trying to grind out of this

Obviously you're better than me but I still want to 3b AKo at some frequency at this stack, so if I'm using a single size I go 26 or something.

At some frequency? Shouldn't we be raising all combos of AK 100% of the time? Is villain a nit or summin?

running pretty average at 5/10 here at bellagio. making some huge folds vs population that doesn't bluff enough

it's safe to say i'm tilted now. sitting at -4k overall for trip and currently on 6k ds from peak.....the players are horrendously bad which makes it even worse. Time to change game plan big time.

Maybe playing tight ABC is highest EV, just bluffing some grandpas on obvious spots where they overfold. Otherwise I think most live games dont really serve the online players mind. Even if your hourly would be good its gonna be boring. Its just one big ****ing setmine / flushmine / straigtmine to stack them off from their overpairs and worse stuff which they cant fold. Playing few days / weeks its difficult to get significant sample or idea of whats going on cause the game is so slow. Ive been few days in Macao and Im aswell losing and I see these livegames mainly as challenge of growing patience and goldmine but who knows where the real hourly winrate is if you dont bore yourself with playing for over a year.

Good luck buddy!

I personally play the same way live that I do when I play against fishes online given that when playing live you end up being against a fish postflop over 95% of the time

Hey mate,

read through your whole thread, took me like 10 hours but my internship is kinda boring Really enjoyable and i pay you a ton of respect for working fulltime (with a lot of responsiblity and challenges) and still put so much effort into online poker besides. Very inspirational imo.

Do you think NL50 with a mix of zoom and reg tables is beatable when i really dont spend any time studying but got like 1m hands of online experience? I can only afford to play like 10-16 hours a week, because im not able to play on fridays and saturdays and otherwise i would get less than 6-7 hours of sleep. Btw how much do you sleep in average? (Or i suppose you dont even sleep at all?!)

And another question: Do you stare a lot on a screen at work? I feel pretty exhausted when i already spended 8-9 hours looking on a screen and then try to play online poker in the evening. What really helps though is working out first after the job and then play late evening / at night.

Wish you the best of luck at the live setting you are currently playing at.

With 1 million hands of experience and you can't beat NL50, I think you have some major flaws in your game. Get a good coach, some good poker friends and a different thought process, because whatever you're doing at the moment is obviously not working. You know what they say: practice doesn't make perfect, only perfect practice makes perfect.

I don't know anybody who stares at a screen for their job all day, then comes home to stare at a screen for several hours more. I have some friends who are computer programmers and they specifically avoid computers in their spare time. They say that they would lose their mind and go insane if they had to stare at a screen for any longer. Don't force the issue of playing. Poker is supposed to be fun and 12+ hours a day concentrating on a computer screen is enough to burn anybody out. Good luck.
