Thank you guys! Ah cheers whelan, i may well check it out after im done with the MGOP.

---

So yesterday was a pretty lame day tbh. The night before the exam was just awful. For some reason i couldn't sleep till 3am and when i did sleep it was really broken and rubbish.

I managed to meditate for 15 mins to try get in the zone but my mind was all over the place that i couldn't really relax. Didn't eat as many meals as i wanted to which was due to nerves i think. The weird thing is i very rarely get nervous about things like exams but this time it kinda knocked me for six. I classed the exam as reading which i thought was fair enough I just think that as a whole my mental state wasn't really where i know it can be/where i want it to be. However i'm fully aware that we all have bad days and that it's ok to acknowledge it without it affecting the days after.

As for grinding, because i was so tired i was playing C+ game for a lot and managed to get to about B towards the last 1/3 of the session. Playing 6 hours straight was really stupid too!

Bluffing good reg. I don't think my sizing needs to be so big but given the board gets better for my range i still like to choose large sizing:

It's my mates birthday today so he's rented a 5 aside pitch for the afternoon then got a house party/going out tonight. Probably no grinding till tomorrow.

Also the first part to my Rush analysis is up on CardRunners. Check it out!

Had a quality day/night yesterday. Played footie with 10 of us and then went to a house party in the evening. I need to start getting more photos of stuff that i do to jazz the thread up a bit.

Poker was pretty bad today. Been a long time coming though so don't feel bad about it at all.

Didn't help that i snap stacked off at 600 twice in the first 50 hands!

vs insanely aggro reg with a 20% turn raise and ridiculously high WWSF. Definitely somewhat spewey from me:

Felt i played really well today and couldn't do anything about the money i lost. First time in a while (cus i havent run bad for a good while!) that i've felt i've grinded close to A game whilst losing a lot of hands.

vs very aggro reg. I actually still like my call otr. If he's 2 barrelling this hand i'm pretty sure he's 3 barrelling way too much.

yoo. so the past few days have been really uneventful. After having the -2.1k and the -500 i've probably lost another 500ish. Finally running like a normal person again so it definitely feels like i'm not in as many big pots all the time

My daily checklists have been good too. Meditating every day and continuing to listen to the mental game of poker.

Upon looking at my recent sessions there have actually been a ton of close spots so i'd actually really appreciate some feedback on them.

We got pounded at football today by a new team we lost 5-3 but it could have been a lot lot worse. Looks like this new season is gunna be our biggest test yet. We're also still waiting on our trophy for our winners photo!

In other news i have a new client who i'll be starting with next week. Pretty pumped for it!

                            tl;dr was bored at work
hopefully some of it makes sense at least

                            H1 - KQ
I would just jam here without any history. We have Qs which is nice and Ks and 2s are on board so he shouldn't really show up with too many flushes except for the odd 5x combo and maybe like AsJs or something. He can have some AK+ occasionally as well but for the most part I would expect people to cbet this flop quite a bit, and mostly cbet their nutted hands as well. He should have some K9s, KT, KJ combos that can call and maybe will hero with underpairs sometimes.

If you know that he plays a mixed strat pre in SB then his range should have less Kx and will therefore probably be more weighted to underpairs, so maybe a small sizing is best vs those sorts of guys. Also if you know that he likes to check these sorts of flops a lot in 3bet pots and take trappy lines then shoving is less attractive obviously.

In terms of your range it seems like it would be difficult to balance multiple sizes otr there, but maybe it's doable. I still think this particular combo is good enough to jam though. If you want to use a single sizing otr with your betting range then I think a shove is probably best, although I could be wrong on that.

                            H2 - AK
Not sure on this as I don't really know what his range is there and what we are hoping to fold out. If he 3bets TT & JJ pre in these positions then we could probably get those to fold otr. If he does 3bet those hands then he might also have all AQ in his range as well as 99, which isn't great. Maybe he has some 98s, T9s, JTs, KJs, QJs, QTs type stuff that decided to take this line, idk. And he probably will have some KK+ combos.

We are repping QQ+ so I guess it's fine anyway, we need some bluff hands in theory and this seems like a decent combo to choose. Don't think you can triple all AK combos though.

On 5d river (for example) we block a couple more of his folds, so guess it's slightly worse to jam.

                            H3 - KQs

If MP3 is really aggro I would expect him to 3bet pre with KK+ even with the whale in BB. He will flat wider than normal though due to the whale, so should have more Tx than usual and if he is aggro I would expect him to bet 2 with Tx a lot of the time as well on this board with the whale involved. If he did have some slowplayed overpairs pre or a set I would expect an aggro guy to bet 3 here most of the time too.

Would probably bet kinda small here, 40-50% pot or something. We block Qs and given what I have assumed about his range it will mostly be Tx that calls us. It's nice to be able to bluff missed draws for that size and he also can't go crazy x/r us either because we can still have some 2pair+ in our range due to the whale being involved.

                            H4 - QTs

Pretty gross, I haven't really had much experience of playing these spots vs guys that aggro seeing as there is nobody like that at micros. Would probably fold, you block some hearts and your value range is Qx+, so he would have to be particularly brave (or stupid) and give you a lot of credit for being a good player as well (I am sure he does but you never know!) before he would try to bluff you here.

                            H5 - TT
Think I would jam here vs a stationy guy although I would need to look at it in Equilab to see whether that is good or not obviously. He can call with AQ and KQ with a spade, maybe QJ as well because lol straight blocker + top pair. Q9s is probably calling, maybe he has 55 if he is loose pre.

If he is loose pre then he could have all KJ combos which isn't great, as well as some flushes. Having said that I would expect him to raise flop or turn a non 0% of the time on this board, which should reduce the number of comobs that beat us otr. If we check it gets pretty annoying as we should have a hard time folding to a jam when he could potentially have stuff like AsJ, or turn J9s into a bluff or whatever.

That being said I think jamming will be better than checking as we will deny him the opportunity to bet river and can still get called by worse hands. IP I would be fine with checking back as we will possibly struggle to get >50% against his calling range (although I could be wrong about this).

Real good analysis on every hand and tbh i have to agree with everything you've written. So results of those hands: KQ he had KJ, AK he snap folded river, KQss he called with 86.... (no idea what the HELL he's betting turn for) QThh i called and lost to Aces full obv and the T8ss he had J8cc

Really appreciate the time taken to look at those hands mate.

I've recently had a couple similar hands to your AJ hand. One where I called down ATs (so had the flush to make flop/turn decision easier) and got shown AK on a blank run out.

The other time I folded river with top pair with A kicker being the same suit of the flush draw.

I need to analyse these further, cos I'm wondering to what degree holding the flush blocking A is a factor. Intuitively it feels like it should be significant, but I realise that I'm not sure whether holding it means I should be more or less inclined to call river.

In the case where I folded TPTK I thought it clear I should be more inclined to fold, as holding the A cuts so many bluff combos out. But when there is an A in the runout, aren't the Axs checking back a street... so when we get tripled their range is a) extremely polarised and b) has fewer "natural" bluff combos available and so likely to be value heavy.

                                        Any thoughts on this?

Normally he plays 25minutes fr, followed by 60minutes of 6max and afterwards 3 flips vs urubu at plo iirc

yeh i mix 200-600FR and 200-400 6max at the same time. I have 9 tiled, double layered. If i happen to go over 18 tables which i seem to do too much then some are triple stacked.

Yeh it's interesting and a spot that i'm not 100% sure on either. It's definitely better to have the nut blocker in our hand because it obviously limits their combos of nut flush. I will say that you really have to choose your opponents to call down as there are some that just won't ever even fire 2 as a bluff and then those that just go mental to any sign of weakness ie. a check. I'd actually like to use crEV to figure this out but i've never used it and tbh i cbf

So i've decided to take the last few days of the month off to finish all my college work that is due for next Friday. In b4 i dick around watching/playing football and hanging out in the sun and end up panic starting next wednesday I may put in a session on the weekend if the games look good though.

I'll do a full monthly update at the end of the month or a bit before if i get round to it.

                                                    Month update!

Over the moon with how things finished up this month especially after doing so well last month too.

                                                    Stake Breakdown overall:

                                                    and table size breakdown:

As you can see my first shot at 400 6max has started off great. I was actually winning a lot more there but that was some serious run good. Still winning at a pretty ridiculous winrate there so long may that continue.

I'm gunna be shotting 1k FR this month and sticking to playing 200-400 6max. It would be really awesome to have a normal month winning like 5-7k as oppose to what i usually do and go on a 10k downswing straight after a sick upswing!

As for my goals for the month I've tallied up the month and here are the results:

                                                    - I meditate over half the days in the month but i definitely want to up this
                                                    - I barely went to the gym which i feel real bad about
                                                    - I slept like a baby all month bar a few days this week where i had a crazy amount of nightmares...
                                                    - Had at least a shake every day but really could be upping to 2
                                                    - Averaged 3 meals but i think this is due to not gyming enough as they kinda go hand in hand
                                                    - I listened to about 1/3 of the Mental Game of Poker which isn't enough. I'll be finishing off my college work and then back on this for sure
                                                    - I felt i played A-game for about 3/4 of the month which i'm delighted with. Running good definitely helps though. It's when i start losing that the A-game seems to slip
