It's such a dry run out, I really struggle to assign him a bluffing range on the river, mainly because i can't see what weak/drawing hands call the turn. KJcc?

Unless you know he's uber balanced (or bluff unbalanced, which seems unlikely) in this spot, I think you've got to fold.

Aaargh... but his value combos by the river are what?? 53s, 44. Probably 3bets AQ pre. Does A9 even raise for thin value?

Really tough spot imo. Sorry, that stream of conscious rambling probably wasn't helpful!
3b is pretty high so i can as you said discount AQ 100%. The problem lies in the fact he knows he reps nothing and i know that he knows that. It's just a horrendous spot which i ended up calling. He showed up with A9, which fwiw i think is an AWFUL river shove.

Been reading for a while, we played some hands at the tables though I'd prefer to keep my nick to myself

The A4 vs A9 hand is pretty standard by him. It's not, in any way, an awful river shove. You're playing 3h, A9 is the second best hand he has in that spot (after 44, 22 problably folds flop since it almost never improves and it's so hard to make it to the showdown) and he will shove some busted draws (I'd shove draws which are not blocking important clubs draws). So, he needs to shove A9 to add some combos to a very unbalanced range if 44 was his only value hand.

            PS: GTO sucks my balls

There are a number of reasons why i disagree with most of this. Villain has far less nutted hands than hero, so why do you want to start value shoving thinner? makes no sense. Why are you trying to balance an overly wide bluffing range by adding more value hands... again, doesn't make sense. Villain prob shouldn;t have a shoving range on river here... or if he only shoves 44, then has to balance it with like, 1 combo of something. not value shove super wide so he can bluff all his missed draws, it's backwards logic.

I have to value shove vs this villain imo. I can definitely be perceived to be shoving a bluff there sometimes esp vs him. Surely if he has AJ or KJ with no diamond he'll be super inclined to bet calling as i never shove a nut flush otr and i have like no boat combos. I dunno, maybe overestimating

AJ and kj no diamond would be ******o double barrels there. Seems like maybe he does with a diamond but those seem like easy check calls. Seems like his only Bluffs are Adx and those fold. Basically you are praying u re coolering a flush that gets stubborn while always getting snapped by QJ JJ J6 and whatever pair boated on the turn. I mean, flush prob betcalls but I honestly don't know fullring dynamics if ppl routinely fold boats then this might well be too thin

                    Monthly results

So the month is over and i'm definitely pleased with the results. Only downside is that this is pretty much all my profit for the year. Even though i won at a pretty high winrate i definitely think i ran super bad the last 12 days of the month. Then again i ran really good the first couple weeks so kinda swings and round abouts.

                    Graph

                    Stake breakdown

Really happy that most of the profit came from 6max for once. I may actually be really settling in there. Also playing 600nl FR every day now too which is cool. Hit 35.5k vpps this month too.

May as well post my yearly graph so far. Spoilering it as it's not great

                    Spoiler:

In other news we won the final yesterday 2-0. It was a complete domination on our part but their keeper is just so fkn sick that we only scored 2. Will have a winners photo next week with our trophy!

Started listening to a really great band and this is my favourite song so far. Check it out

New month tomorrow so let's have more of the same please (less of the below ev and more of the 8bb/100!)

                    best of luck guys

88 is probably ok, set miners gonna set mine. Especially if he's not the player type to cold call QTs in that spot pre. Obviously any river reads help, like does he check back AQ and stuff like that.

vs a huge fish and reg. i'll actually out this reg too cus he is such a scumbag. He constantly sits out when the fish is sitting out and then immediately sits back in when they reload. His name is Olegator_tilt so if you get the chance give him a needle at the tables or report him (not that stars seem to care about any regs anymore...)

So obv everyone knows about the changes to stars, changes in rake, uk players getting raked more with less rb etc. Just to prewarn, i'm going to be looking at other sites as i feel that the end is coming for regs on stars pretty soon. Gunna keep my screen name anonymous when i do start mixing other sites, but will still post hands and results etc. Haven't decided where i'm gunna move to but it'll happen within the next month or so i reckon.

Won football 4-1 last night and the 1 goal we conceded i had a complete howler. Someone took a shot from the half way line and as i went down to collect the ball it fizzed through my legs.... so cringeworthy thinking about it so i'll move on from it now!

Hi been reading your whole thread tonight, great thread and really respect your play from the hands you have posted, Wanted to you ask you a question regarding the hand with 55 i have found myself in the exact same spot more than once since the line you took mirrors how i would play, Just wondering if after the utg player shoves and the orignal raiser calls if calling there is also an option just as you did Im shoving in theat spot but often wonder if I lost any value since at that point our hand is basic ally face up once we back raise over the call of the orignal raiser Ive often wondered if im losing value there by not just calling in that spot, it reconfirms that im probaly not when i see other players who i respect making that play, just wondered your thoughts on that hand if the hand ever merits over calling instead of shoving over the top. Just wanted some of your thoughts on that hand if you ahve a minute. Looking at the board it is not dry as a bone but not that wet either, by reshipping are the likly draws evber going to fold such as 7 6 or others once they are laid that price. basiclly jsut wondering if flatting on the flop is ever a better idea, becasue as i said im almost always shoving jsut like you and sometimes ifee llike my hand is face up at that point and what hands am i acutally afraid of when the orignial raiser is likely on ak or aa thanks

Yah, he's just too tight/bum hunterish to make this a profitable call. I think that the only real bluff he can have is JTdd which is still a real long shot.

Yeh the T8 wasn't great tbh. I just assumed that he'd bet his sets/2pairs ott, but this was a little silly on my part. Making this kind of assumption is just too risky for stacks. Obviously having a T limits his value combos drastically, and i thought he may raise fold a jack. Just a moment of stupidity really.

Hi mate! Thanks for the post and i'm glad you've enjoyed the whole thread You make some good points for calling the 55 however imo we look insaaaanely strong no matter what we do. If we call we just have a set and if we shove we equally have a set too. I think that overall it's pretty negligible whatever we do. Another thing is that we do actually give free cards to hands even like AA. I know this sounds really dumb, but if we overcall the flop we are not squeezing another buck out of AA as it's soooo obvious we have a set. Giving that hand 2 outs is just something we don't need to do.

Call the 3B in MP v a LP open. I'm assuming with the games being a lot more aggro at your stakes you've gotta have a calling range here?

Yeh in general I have a calling range. Hands like 88-JJ or even QQ could be a call. AQs, AJs maybe some KQs if they're really aggro etc. A2s definitely a 4b or fold though
