haha i have been advised to play 6m more times than i can even remember but every time i've taken a shot the repercussions of the shot have lasted for months after. Can't go through that again! (well at least for a few more months at least )

Re: BenaBadBeat's FR Grind 2014

I couldn't be getting more destroyed at the moment. Really unsure if this is run bad or if im playing bad. Im losing over 2k at 100nl this month and winning like 1200 at 200. Even though im so above ev im really unsure whats going on. It's still only a small sample for the month so plenty of time for it to turn around i suppose.

How do you know for certain whether a reg is a winning or losing reg? Is it just based on their hands you have in your database or is there another PTR now?

Yeh over the years I've played a ton of hands with all the regs so I can see their results based on those.

            Re: BenaBadBeat's FR Grind 2014

I don't believe you are playing optimally atm. I have played with you quite a bit this year and some of your lines make me scratch my head because they are definitely sub optimal.

54 Calling a 3 bet here 3 way with 5 high is not going to be profitable here in the long run even vs a fish. Your implied odds are cut way down since the pot is bloated on the flop since its 3 way vs heads up.

AQ No need to 4 bet this hand, it's to strong to turn it into a bluff. You can easily call this hand and play post even OOP

88 No need to 3 bet this hand pre vs a laggy player. His continuing range has you crushed or has 50% equity vs you almost always. If he's laggy he's not playing fit/fold post plus he opened from the cutoff, not the button (if your intention was to 5bet jam over a 4 bet) and it's essentially a min raise preflop.

77 River shove is to thin here

AQ Fold to the X-raise even when it's that small. Your peeling for 3 outs as 1 of them is dirty and you have no BD Flush draw. Only reason to peel there is because you think he's shutting down on the turn but He's never going to X-raise that flop and then shut down on the turn as people don't do that ever in a vacuum in these positions.

AJ Your 3 bet sizing is bad, it's far to large
KJ No need to 3 bet this hand even vs a fish, far to thin to raise for value
QJ Same thing as above. No need to 3 bet this hand vs a fish, far to thin to raise for value plus this hand plays well MW

I think your 3 betting way to thin for value vs fish, almost all the hands you posted where you 3bet thin vs fish you are dominated, it's fine to widen your 3bet value range but hands like KJ QJ in the spots you chose are a litte to thin IMO

Thanks for this post mate, really appreciate it! I think for the most part I after that I might be getting into too marginal spots vs fish and this is being reflected in my recent results. In the 88 pot I have to disagree with you thoughts. This is based on history and stats related so I don't think that 3b in this spot vs this villain is thin by any means.

Another point to mention is I've recently moved back up to 200nl and notice that flatting fish just results in getting squeezed by other regs. Would it not be better to be 3betting instead of flatting?

Again thanks, and please critisise more - definitely wanting to improve and be told where people think I might be going wrong. Glgl!

Edit: can you pm me your screen name too?
