Never done a three figure keepie-up I don't think but I wouldn't be surprised if you fall into a very safe and comfortable rhythm at some sudden point a few weeks in. It's "only" 10-12 minutes after all... Still super hard, but I'd like to think possible.

Fun bet!
this is super interesting. just not sure how much it'll 'click' in such a short period, especially with fatigue and potential tilt

You improve super quick, I reckon you got a shot, but i deffo never got to 1k, maybe 300+ but legs start cramping after a while.

Probs woudn't bet it at evens but for 10k probs worth it and think it's basically in your own control to make yourself a lock if you are semi competent at football already.
haha, but you are actually good at football from what i know. im decent in goal, but distinctly average out on pitch. My touch isn't the worst though...

also knees definitely not easier, alternate feet ftw
myyyyy man. i've had you in mind since we discussed the bet. remembering you smashing out 1000 keepie-ups first go on clapham common.

Actually think the line on this is about right. It's definitely something you'll get way, way better at with time. Think the 1k mark will more come down to how good your mental game is at 850+ once you get good at them. Just don't bottle it and you'll be fine.
yeah, this seems pretty on the money. remember that 15-17 year olds have no mental game whatsoever and get bored after their first or second attempt. If i was to solely focus on one technique then i'd improve very very quickly. agree about the last 200 or so. I'm not worried about getting those extra 200, because tbh, if i get to 500 over the first couple weeks, then i'll very likely be able to do it. Will just have to put in hours from that moment on

promising!

Ok, so wrt to the bet, some people wanting to bet against/for. If and that's a big if, (i imagine i'm like 10% to take the bet as it stands) I won't be booking any more than 10k action with steve. If he wants to sell some of his action to others then that's his prerogative. I'm gunna give it a bit more thought and make a decision.

Would be a super sick bet and a real sweat. My doubts comes from smb's confidence. He's very good at football and has played for years. I do still think i could do it though, so we'll see. Gotta factor in not playing poker all month and the potential $ swing of not grinding + losing 10k haha.

---

Things haven't gone great since my last update. Been playing 4x500z and 6-7 regular tables on the side. Played a LOT of 1k which is a ton of fun, but i should tone it down a bit with table count.

this villain is very straightforward so we can safely assume he'll bet this flop with his op's, and Jx+. He could check back a nfd, but it would have to be AKcc exactly cus of 4b range pre. It's somewhat thin and i got lucky that he had the nut calling combo that didn't have me beat! Yeah A4 was grim

JTss is not peeling turn but yeah T9ss should definitely be bluffed before 99, 77d would probably be another one, it does depend a lot on villain's pre flop strat. I'm just surprised some people can't see why shoving 99 would be okay

yeah tbf the 99 is ok in theory, however in reality population bets turn too polorised to bluff this hand. That's my opinion on pop, not arguing optimal strategy

First day of uni tomorrow! Excited to get back into studying. I imagine poker will be played less and less as deadlines creep up on me.

After the research weekend I've got some ideas for my dissertation topic (writing it the following year) and it's possibly gunna be around my relationship with money. Particularly the taking of money from clients - this is a widely discussed topic; the way people pay - agonising with coins, giving extra etc. And then obv including the fact that i play poker for a living and how my perception of money has become quite warped.

These are all very preliminary ideas so we'll see how the idea develops over the year.

                                      see y'all thursday.

Definitely an interesting idea. I know working in finance AND playing poker have a really warped my view on money compared to my peers. I am much more apt to take risk and also much less affected by financial variance than most average working professionals.

What does dogreg mean? Is it below weak reg? Lol
