Wow that is absolutely disgraceful behaviour in their part. I've literally never seen that kind of mistreatment.

Did you find out the reason the bouncers starting chucking folk around? Or were they just being arseholes for the sake of it?

The reviews on TA aren't too great

From all the things I've seen about Barcelona on 2+2, it sounds like a crooked shtshow.

That club incident is just ridiculous.

Ben,

fwiw I'm approaching 2300 hours of live poker and the "accidentally raise to much" is like a top 3 angle. It also always seems to come from seemingly rec players (good angle shooters have moved way beyond this into some pretty incredible stuff)

Like, each time i see it i think "well, this guy seems new and nice and has been quiet all night playing standard poker, maybe it was an honest mistake." Then they always show up with AA.

Just contributing likely the only real poker advice I could from an amature semi rec to a crusher like you. Keep this and all other weird happenings in your head when playing live poker. If something seems weird it is almost always better to assume angle above honest mistake, as sad as that is (speaking at least for US poker)

All of that said, I know its obv lol at ever folding kk there. Thats just gonna be a spot where you "take your lumps" so to speak, for the % of times its not an angle and for the % of times it is but its worse value (both small, imo).

I was moreso just highlighting the angle for future reference in case it happens again. Ive seen it many times.

small tip for anyone who travels a lot and already hasn't done this

download the tripadvisor app, urbanspoon, etc

always check the reviews for a place before you go. mainly this is when you're walking around and come upon a place on the street so you don't walk into a tourist trap (which barcelona is absolutely full of). the overall rating isn't necessarily the best indicator since a 3.5 star place might be mostly 3-4 stars. lots of places (like pacha) that have a tonne of 1-star reviews will leave a bunch of ghost 5-star reviews to pump up their overall rating. also read the recent reviews, especially the ones in english since owners have a harder time faking good english reviews. i most mostly use this for lunch spots during the day but can definitely use it for clubs and bars as well. 11/10 wouldn't have gone to pacha reading the reviews it has. alternatively don't listen to mayo (assuming he picked this place) since his taste in clubs seems to pretty sh*te.

They were trying to remove people who hadn't paid for that section of the club. Apparently the way you deal with that is by physically throwing people!

yeah, this sounds pretty on the money. I do wonder whether or not people are results oriented here - ofc you will see that they have AA when they've made a missclick. It's easy to forget the times someone folds when they make that mistake cus the hand is over with no showdown. I'll be keeping a close eye out for these kinda missclicks in the future though!

But yeah KK always losing many here so no biggie.

So I'm back from barca, and it was as much of a blast as i had hoped for. Awesome to get away from the online grind and actually experience what summer is meant to be, as oppose to the ****storm of a summer we've had in the UK. Was a ton of fun meeting some new poker players, including doctor77 and some of the timbey boys.

Here are some pics from the trip

Most of the crew

Massages on the beach with smb

Epic 3 man tower catching game that took legit 1 hour to complete

smb being smb at 3pm

The king of poker and his new gf

Me and dccnesquick (he was desperate to make the thread )

dcc massage at dinner

My good friend kreuznagel in a pretty bad state of affairs in the club lmao

Definitely will do this stop again next year!

Got a welcome home gift from stars

Which also gets me unstuck for the month bzzz
