when I'm on my A game I just fold the Q8 turn (so not often ). in general I think the reg population isn't bluffing very much, if at all, with the delay xr. vs the player you describe I'd guess it's heavily weighted towards the nuts :/

haha, you gotta be playing amazing to fold turn - i agree it's possible though. I guess turn is the real mistake (river is whatever cus he can have 22 or some flushes, albeit folds the flushes most of the time)

So the football match last night was an utter disaster. We lost 4-0. Never lost a football match so badly in my life, it was truly awful. Will be playing the same team next week in the final. Hoping to get sweet revenge.

As i mentioned streaming went awful because of lag. Also have a knack of losing loads straight away when on twitch. Carried on afterwards and got into profit for the day

This was on stream vs a reg. but they weren't full stacked so maybe semi-reg. debated just calling for ages but ended up going all in. I guess blocking 2nd and 3rd nflushes makes us wanna call way more than shoving

So on friday i had one-to-one supervision and decided to explore my mental game coaching stuff. We had a really in depth discussion around what I could offer and some thoughts about the shape it may take. So far, I think i've identified four key elements that are closely linked to mental game; ego, will, resilience and attachment*. Wrt the attachment stuff, I know it looks kinda out there in relation to poker, however I strongly believe that depending on ones attachment style, different forms of tilt come through.

I'm trying to figure out the ratios of therapeutic:mental game. It's proving quite difficult because I have to be super careful i'm not crossing any boundaries psychotherapeutically i.e., people in the poker world know a LOT about me and my personal life. For therapeutic work to take place it's important that i'm unknown by the client. On top of all that, I want to incorporate mindfulness based techniques, warm up and cool down exercises and even a coaching element. Seems necessary to utilise the fact that i'm still a winning poker player in 2017 whereas other mental game coaches don't play/have never played for a living

*Attachment theory states that a strong emotional and physical attachment to at least one primary caregiver is critical to personal development. John Bowlby first coined the term as a result of his studies involving the developmental psychology of children from various backgrounds

These are just a few of my thoughts and nothing set in stone. Loads to think about but it's really exciting to get the ball rolling!

                  football and grind today

its probably for semi-obvious reasons. mind going into why this is?

As hu4hoes mentioned, it's unethical for a therapist to know their client before any work takes place. So for ethical reasons I simply can't offer too much psychotherapy because I'll be stepping outside those boundaries.

haha yeah ego will definitely be at the forefront of the program!

Went to watch the Crystal Palace vs Arsenal game last night. It was totally off the hook with palace fighting to stay up. They ended up smashing them 3-0. Was awesome being in the home end!

Got a fair amount going on for the rest of the week, but will put in a good grind tomorrow.

Played our final tonight vs the guys that beat us 4-0 last week. Was an insanely tight game. We went 1-0 up early on with an smb dream goal. Then conceded 2 goals to go 2-1 down. With about 7 mins to go we score a lovely goal. We head to penalties, 3 each. I save the first, stevie scores, i save the second, our boy misses, then their last penalty taker drags it wide! The most satisfying final win to date for sure.

There is one downside I forgot the GoPro. So so so so so tilted about that!

Not sure you are aware but there is a very real gopro curse. Don't get me wrong it's a great product, but every time I forget it I have the best fishing trips of my life.
