I posted before that I run this sort of stuff in Amsterdam. On 15th July we're hosting Euro Football 5s and 6s tournament at our venue. Teams from UK come out for the tournament and a weekend jolly. We field a few Dutch and expat sides and I think a couple are coming from Spain.

Bring your 6s team out...

ahhh yeah i remember you posting last time! That sounds very appealing. Would just be difficult to get the whole team on a trip cus some of them work (not all poker players in the team)

Keep me posted about it though! what will the standard be like?

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Danny Kahneman is a banger, although I'm nowhere near qualified to comment.

Thinking fast and slow is in domain of behavioural economics which is not pure psychology. Some parts of the book are dry. It is interesting though.

It depends what you're looking for man. The books i could recommend would be more about psychotherapy and the theoretical side of things. Are you looking for self help, cognitive behavioural, psychoanalysis, dream analysis etc. If you can gimme a rough idea then i'll be of more help!

I've looked into cognitive behavioural therapy, so i'm interested in these kinds of books.

Keep me posted about it though! what will the standard be like?
The best teams will be pretty good, the worst teams won't be (think pub footballers that just come for the beers). He runs it with a group stage and the best teams go to the Cup knockout and the worst to the plate knockout so it evens up quickly. Nothing else to keep you posted on, it's definitely going ahead on that date so you know what to do if you want to play

Failing that then when one of the team gets married one day do the stag in Amsterdam and then we'll play a match/set up a mini tournament! I have a great desire to see my team stomp your boys for some reason - I think it might be memories of getting stacked by smb a lot back in the day

I'm not too familiar with CBT books as it's not something i've studied, however my supervisor is a CBT therapist. I'll ask him for some suggestions and get back to you
