Some of you may remember me from my mass multi tabling 10nl threads in here, others do not know of the sick human that is I.

Basically for those who have not heard my story. Here is it.....

I graduated this year with a degree in Law and have been job searching since September. I moved back to Birmingham away from my friends and girlfriend at the time. It was about 1 month of being home I decided I could not live anywhere except Brighton at the minute. So I packed my bags and headed down. I am now staying with my ex-girlfriend (still friends until I am 100% staying in Brighton so getting a place). And then next week after this I am going to stay with a few mates while she has her friends down. So I have 2 weeks to find a place

The master plan....

Live cash is easy, stupidly easy. I always have been pretty good live and the fact the G casino in Brighton is so close to the bars etc so many drunk fish stumble in every night. So I have decided to push myself over the next 2 weeks. Instead of just looking for a place and a job during the day, I shall also be grinding 1/2 live every single night for the next 2 weeks. This will be tiring, I am making this thread while sitting in bed knackered as I left last night at 4am and was woken up at 11am. Anyway if I can win anywhere near £1.2k in two weeks it will be plenty to find a place and have a few months rent/living costs so I can decide what I want to do. (I really want to be a live cash grinder for one year and play as little as possible while having fun).

I shall be updating this thread every night when I get in with total profit from the night and any interesting spots as I never discuss live hands!

Mate, good luck in failing this challenge. Because you will need luck to fail and none at all to succeed. Try to set yourself a reasonable target ffs.

Update from when I started which was Saturday.
Ohh yea I forgot to mention I will be deducting any money spent from profit without writing it in, so sometimes if I have won a lot I will get a taxi home/ dinners etc.


Saturday 28th

Ended up playing the £25+£5 bounty tournament instead of cash as it looked like really good value. 32 runners and I bink the lot. No interesting spots really, was good for £205 plus £30 in bounties. Kinda sucked I told my friend as a joke he could have £5 stake in me and he agreed, so I owe him like £28 or something

Profit- £180

Sunday 29th

Interesting day, went at 8pm to go play the comp but only 6 runners so they cancelled it and opened the cash table with 3 people. One decent guy who plays in London and one fish. Game ended up getting bigger and bigger and I am sure we had around £4000 on the table. I ended up chipping up through standard squeezing spots, value betting the fish, and letting the young aggro kid donate to me. I was up around £230 then this hand happened.....

In CO with 98cc and make it £5, BTN fish calls, and SB makes it £16

Decide to flat and see a flop. Which is QcQs5h.

He bets out £15, I tank and make it £39 to go, BTN passes. He flats

Turn Ac, he checks and I bet £69 and he calls

River comes a 4s, he checks and I bet £89.

I hate a few things at this point, one my sizing I wanted to make it £120 but missed a chip and then I do something I never do, I spoke saying "Ill show", SUCH A BUM!!!!

Anyway he tanks and calls and tables 57o.

I am looking for any constructive criticism here, is this complete spew? My image was incredible tight to him since he joined. Meh. I ended up being down £200 at one point but grinded it back to £75 win.

Profit- £220


Notes: Less spew, fish don't fold pairs to young internet kids. Going to spending ALOT less, seem to spending all my money on eating out etc, this must change for next 2 weeks!!

You misunderstood. It is not only achievable, it's ******g ridiculously easy if you're even slightly reasonable at not sucking. Make it £3k and you'll have an interesting challenge.

Stop hating mate. Lets say he plays 8 hours a night for the whole 14 days. That's around 3000-3500 hands and that is probably being generous.

You clearly know nothing about poker if you think that OP's goal is ridiculously easy. Whilst I agree that live poker in the UK is very, very soft, profit is not guaranteed in such a short timespan. Especially when playing only 3k hands.

One suggestion, when posting results perhaps use a colon not a dash (which looks like a minus sign) as first I thought you had dropped £180 on Saturday.

Best of luck, probably won't be needing it though in light of live play standards.

Oh, and yes, your hand is spew for the reason you stated. Value bets, not bluff, will get your cash at these stakes.

Monday 30th

Pretty stupid session. I told my ex that I would be grinding every night but she had a hard day at university so I went to play for 30 minutes and came back as it was our night to clean the house and she was really tired. Made £21


Profit: 240

I have just woken up, its 3:30pm here, she will be out all day and probably most the night seeing friends. So my plan is to eat a hearty lunch/dinner and head over around 8pm and play till like 4am as I am no longer ill or tired. Shall be an interesting day today!!!

Tuesday 31st

Hey guys, today I only played for an hour and made a tidy £104 profit. Just one hand I got owned at...
Straddled pot and I min raise it with A9o. Guy in straddle completes..board 922. He donks out, I flat. Turn 5, he donks, I flat. River Q. He bets out half pot and I snap... tables KK.

Not sure if this call is ever profitable in a live game people just check behind a weaker 9 usually, only reason I did was he was decent.

Profit- £340
