Almost but coming back.

Alright i need to get some accountability.
Long story short last year was total disaster on health and business part , i had to relocate my crossfit gym to new place, which took a big toll on me. First i want to thank my backer Acbarone for helping out and being patient with me trough all of this and the best way to repay him is to ship something juicy.
Bright side i lost 40 pounds or 18kg last couple of months, fixed my diet started working out and actually started taking care of myself. I need to lose roughly 10kg more max not even that but thats max.

just to give you update on all here are few pics from my new gym

About goals im gona write few and will keep this thread open till i hit them so no more new year threads just one long ass one.

Poker :
- Play 1000 games
- Get back to 50$ ABI
- Study 3 times per week
- evbb100 - 15+ in current stakes

Health :
- Eat healthy
- workout 5 times per week ( post workouts in here)
- 1 cheat day per week

Business :
- Improve as a poker coach
- Improve as a crossfit coach
- Get up to 200 members in the gym ( curently 130)
- Work your ass off and grind both poker and non poker stuff.

Alright thats solid for first post enough from me for now i wish everyone best scoop of their life!!!

here is a short msg that i like to share with my students.

Hard work and luck are directly proportional to each other.
The more hard work you do the more luck you have!

Each day brings a new ray of hope,
So forget the failures of yesterday,
And start a new beginning from today!

Always accept criticism with open hands,
As criticism helps in making you realize your mistakes.
This motivates you to work with more efficiency!

Work is God!
It can help you achieve anything you want.
So, always respect and worship your work.

Defeat takes you one step ahead,
as it gives you an experience which no one else has!

Love your work and enjoy it.
If you don’t, you will end up with failure.

Don’t work hard to achieve credit,
Instead work hard to achieve goal.
Credits always follow success!

So i did some thinking and decided to make a total change in my life, i had a long talk with my wife and we decided to give poker another chance.
That means she will be taking care of all of my duties within the gym and other things to allow me to focus 100% on poker.
My goal is to be one of the best regulars at stakes im playing and i want to reach the top, last few days i have been reading a lot of poker blogs and i studied ton on my preflop ranges . So i need advice on how you guys study MTTs effectiv, there is so much information online and its overwhelming i have no clue where to start.

I will post my winrate for last 9k hands which is lol sample but i think its decent indicator that im still doing ok in the games im playing.
I want to get Bencbs master course as i heard a ton of good things about it.

Plan is to play/study for 90h+ a week ratio will be roughly 70/30.
I will post in here each day on what i studied and play results aswell not just winning days.

So this will be sort of like my first PGC blogs in here raise from bottom to the top and more.

Any advice , info or anything that could help will be greatly appreciated

I think a good starting point is to always ask yourself what spots do you feel uncomfortable/uncertain about and study those first and then come up with some sort of a simplified strategy to execute it. Rather than studying exact ranges in every spot (which is boarderline impossible anyway) try to divide each spot into several logical parts, and work from there. For me it's a bit like the process of clustering, where you create groups based on the characteristics they have in common. Pio is a really good start for doing that, especially if you run scripts. Have seen you quite a bit lately at the tables, best of luck

Like i said i will give my all for the next year and see how it goes i want to be fair to myself and see how far can i go with ton of study and daily grind. No half assing like i used to do, update coming later i had some decent runs and not a lot of sleep haha i missed this.

Alright yesterday was fun day for sure, I studied for 4 hour and after it i had to run to the gym to do my workout before i start the grind. Gonna be posting my daily workouts here if anyone is interested and wants to do it themselves .

Before the main workout i did some strength to reach my clean and jerk 1 rep max. It was brutal and i had trouble maintaining my heart rate and breathing on the clean and jerk.
Great thing is im improving my recovery in amazing rate usually after brutal workout i would be on the floor for couple of minutes, now i just need 30 seconds to minute to normalize my breathing.

Poker session started awful and usually i would just quit but like i said we are giving all we have and we cant be emotionally invested, just keep our head cool and push trough.
Session lasted roughly 11 hours and i finished around 5AM got a 2.5h of sleep then breakfast and i had to go coach morning crossfit class. Plan is to get some rest and around 13h do some study and start grind at 15h.
As far as results go i had some runs biggest one was on the big 22 FT where i was 2nd in chips up to 5 handed where i lost QQ v AK, and finall hand vs same guy AQo v 66. Im happy with how i played not even bothered by the result but 10k up top bink would have been nice

Nice start lets keep on trucking good luck boys

Alright new day !! Yesterday i finally got some sleep in due to starting my session early around 1pm, i was supposed to study 2h but i did 1 hour and jumped right in on the grind. I have a problem at the end of my session when i finish late night , i just cant sleep my brain is in overdrive its crazy.
I finished last night at midnight and it took me an hour to relax and fall a sleep.

Anyways yesterday was good day aswell had a lot of deep runs with 2 FTs

Deep runs

Man 888 takes a while to adjust, i min 3b clicked back so many times yesterday till i finally got my **** straight , software is not bad or anything just takes time to adjust playing off stars. Party has really improved their software only problem im having is my HUD is all over the place for some reason and yes i set up all favorite seats in both HM2 and party software.

My workout for yesterday looked like this

This is why i love crossfit, workouts are short and intensive basically you are done within an hour the most. Members are responding well to my wife as a manager well who can blame them she is a girl haha

Alright workout,eat,study,grind, sleep and repeat!!!

While we'd both love a huge score, I think it's more impressive to have several smaller scores during the course of a consistent grind and that's exactly what's happened over the past few days. Nice work!

No doubt that this played a big role in the recent success, healthy body = healthy mind IMO. I recently started lifting before my sessions and while I can't point to any massive binks (yet), I can say that I feel better/more mentally clear than ever.

We can obviously discuss this part more in depth on Skype, but LittleGoliath's advice was fantastic.

Uncomfortable spots are often an indicator of incomplete/a lack of information. Once you can identify the spots that give you trouble, you can work backwards and try to figure out *why* those situations confound you. Many times I've started by studying a single spot and it's led to a breakthrough about a more general concept that I was previously struggling with.

Thats how i see it aswell, best part is i got my fire back for playing and every morning i wake up im like a kid waiting for birthday party i havent felt like that in over 4 years. Which brings me to why i quit playing in the first place, i had financial stability but every grind was torture and i felt awfull going into session, all this happened due to ton of deep runs in huge mtts that i lost in truley unlucky spots both live and online.

Lifting weights and doing intense cardio has been amazing for me cos like you said you go into session more focused. I noticed that my mind is all over the place and i cant concentrate properly when i jump into session , but when i tire myself trough training my focus is amazing sort of playing in the zone.

Well to be honest she really is given that we have 3 kids and duties at home, but she knows that this is the only way to help me reach my potential(dont want to sound cocky or anyhthing) #Teameffort

Thanks bud we will def talk more after today

Alright yesterday was awesome day i didnt win anything and i didnt have any significant deep runs but, i really enjoyed grind and was having fun. I capped my table count to 10 max playing 6 tables on stars and 2+2 on party and 888.
Still have to get used to those sites but its getting there.
Big day today good luck on the virtual felts and see you there with this amazing motivational song from Sia.

Interesting story this sunday, in the middle of the grind on the break i ran to get my food ready before break ended and in inspector Clouseau style i slipped and fell on my fist which resoulted in broken first metacarpal bone in my fist
Like in action movies i had 10 tables opened and some of them were deep runs i was thinking you are already in huge pain just pop it back yourself and i did, my wife almost fainted when she seen that haha

But luckily the fact i did that right away helped a ton and could have been much worse if i did nothing, so long story short i wrapped it in ice and continued grind to finish it off then i went to emergancy room.
They couldnt do anything and i had to waite for monday to get an xray . As this is not the first time i had broken fist bone i didnt want to put cast on it cos it only screwed my hand even more so after doctors i had short coaching session and started to grind small session
Team no days off is going strong and it will continue till we clear make up and start printing major money, cant afford to take a break anymore.
I didnt study since saturday which sucks but i have couple of hours today for it and will be hitting it hard before the session.

Cool thread enjoyed reading it, especially about the gym. Gl improving, I thought bencb course was a great way to bring your game up to speed, definitely an efficient way to study so fire in for it if you're able to.

Big day today me and my wife are celebrating 10th anniversary of our marriage, and no im not old haha but thats funny to say when you are 33 years old and most readers here are in there twenties
Other big news my crossfit gym is hosting one of the Croatia's top coaches she is a coach in TV show "Biggest loser" thats one of the top tv shows in the world for fitness. We are still young gym and there is still so much work to be dona but slowly we have cracked Top 5 gyms in Croatia due to marketing and various innovations so as you can see its hard for me to not be a part of that atm due to poker. I think my wife is doing equally good job if not better and im really happy that i have someone to fall back to while i try my best to fullfil what i have set to acomplish.

I want to add one of my goals in here which is more for bragging rights then it is for real purpose.

Im currently 4480 in the world which is improvement for 2000 spots jump from last week

I want to get to top 100 on pocketfives this is something thats not so far fetched as it will rely mostly on grinding ton of cashes and we have to get lucky at some point

"Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity"

Lucky people generate their own good fortune via four basic principles. They are skilled at creating and noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling prophesies via positive expectations, and adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good.

So i have put myself in a situation where i will force my chance to get lucky.
Poker last few days was ok , i played bad and wasnt focused as much due to the pain killers etc but swelling is almost gonne and i cant feel any pain which is awesome. My sessions were kind a short and i played 30 games per day last few days which is really low but should be picking that up from tomorow.
We had one bink yesterday for 2k which was nice confidence booster , apart from that there was a ton of deep runs but card distribution wasnt that great, i ran multiple times into verry top of peoples ranges with top part of my range.

Also a big shout out to one of my students that i mentor and coach this is no advertisement he deserves praise. We started working together in January and i have been helping him out with mindset and goals like volume, study etc he is really amazing to work with cos of amazing work ethic no doubt he will be one of the best players in no time exciting times ahead.

Before

After

One thing i did well is i studied a lot, mostly watching videos and working on my preflop ranges , goal is to build rock solid preflop base and work up from that.

I hope everyone is having great scoop and wish you all best of luck for closing of this week which is the biggest weekend of the year for online poker.
Good luck boys and girls!!!!
