Jan Review:

- Played 120 hours of cash
- Was a ****ty losing month but ended up losing a complete bean for the month.
- Still not out of the hole
- Made tons of money buying action
- Here it is: the first flag captured!

Can retire in my tourney career now that i've hit my goal
- 90% volume at 2/5

GUKPT London has started this week, probs not going to flick it in as i don't want to get too distracted and concentrate on getting out of this downswing.

Feel super motivated as i played a bunch of online cash when i went back home to bham and it went fairly well.

Feb Goals:
[ ] 140 Hours
[ ] 90%+ at 2/5
[ ] Get out of downswing
[ ] Try not to have another losing month
[ ] Make Vic Cash Race - cutting this one fine, need to do 60+ hours in 12 days
[ ] Make Empire Cash Race - I usually give up after 2 days in this hell hole
[ ] Play 25k hands online

Gl all

Good luck! Has the Vic moved to an hours based cash rake rather than individual days played on?

It's a very bad month to try and make the Empire cash race because they have the WSOP package added, which means unless you are fully committed to playing 25+ days and Saturday nights for double points you are not going to make it. Games at Empire will kind of suck this month as a result of this and the 56s WSOP package promo.

Yeah they've changed it to hours now, most likely going to scrap this off as games were pretty terrible yesterday and i'm not going to play in **** games just to try and make a cash race.

I've already done it before and know it's a gruelling process but yesterday games seemed alright to me. Got more action than hippo and i've already got 1 point going for the 56s sng.

Spoiler:
or is this your way of trying to deter me from going in to the god forsaken hell hole?

Been reading this book called "Get Your Sh*t Together" by Sarah Knight and doing some self reflection i did absolutely nothing last year in 2016, no wonder i thought it was an absolutely **** year because i didn't really create any memories to go with it. All i remember was just grinding constantly and my poker/life balance was completely out of whack.

Grinding 6 days a week clearly isn't healthy for me, i'm not in love with poker, i'm just ok with and only really do it because it's my job. Last year just felt like a complete blur to me tbh so i'm making my life goal this year is to create more memories and actively try to do stuff outside of poker.

One example is Music, in 2015 i listened to a whole load of music and really expanded to different genre's instead of sticking to a few categories. I went to a few festivals and gigs however in 2016 i did none of that (i don't listen to music at the tables cause i find it too distracting), soooo 2017 i have to attend at least one festival. Thinking about flicking in Parklife tickets atm seeing as the lineup is unreal. Who ever wants to go hmu! or suggest any other festival that's in/near London.

Tl;dr: Boring 2016. All i did was grind.

Yeah, solid albums from Frank Ocean and Childish Gambino.

I'm kinda losing the motivation to play live atm, this is my 3rd day in a row where i've stayed in and hibernated.
Everything is frustrating me with it right now;
- being card dead
- when i do finally make a hand i get stacked
- fullring is boring

moan moan moan ha

i think attempting to do empire cash race hasn't helped either, having to go in everyday has pretty much burnt me out so i gave it up for my sanity.
I had one winning session last week and that was when i was drinking and laughing with a friend from bham, don't think ive had that much fun at live poker for a while.

I don't feel like i've been playing bad either and have been doing a lot of studying and winning online really helps with the confidence, i'm just frustrated if anything. It's really not fun when you start each session getting stacked/losing a big pot then go on a card dead stretch to slowly getting out of it then the game breaking before you can rustocko that few hundo.

Rant over
