Tomorrow I'm playing 8-10 hours at the casino. Here's a few items I'm reviewing tonight from my notes at CrushPokerLive. Some of it is Hanson's advice in certain podcasts, some are areas I'm experimenting with. Typing them out is part of my review.
Review
1. At a tighter table and bad blinds, considering lowering your raise in late position to keep the blinds in the battle out of position.
2. Pay more attention to the effective stacks. For example, think about times you want to lower the turn bet so you have a bigger bluff on river. Think about sizing throughout the hand to make sure you can make a reasonable river bet to get stacks in.
3. How does opponent use bluffs cards?
4. Is opponent able to bet thin on River? Any river raise bluffs?
5. Consider Ax 3 betting. Since not much 3 betting at lower stakes, experiment.
6. Which pocket pairs does opponent raise? If he raises TT+ pre, he shouldn't usually have a set on 843 when he open raises in x position.
7. How sticky is opponent on top pair? How about with very wet boards?
8. Sometimes you can check turn on 3 bet pots and steal on river. Think about times that could be true.
9. ** Did he pick up a backdoor draw? I need to not discount this so quickly.
10. Pay attention to blockers and use combo calculations.
11. Attack limped pot, raising draws.
12. Basic - Pay more attention to when opponents limp vs raise in different positions.
13. Opponent limp/calls to raise. Is it mainly pp or do they call bad hands l like KT Qj.
14. See #13. If opponent mainly calls with pocket pairs with a limp/raise, how sticky are they? Ex: Q94 and villian has 66
15. Can we beat opponents bluff range?
16. ** If we are raising, are we only folding out worse hands? -- issue I need to work on
17. How in tune is opponent with board texture with their cbets?
18. What type of hands is opponent playing with donk bets? Weak top or middle pair?
19. If opponent calls weak hands, AT and KJ can be used to 3 bet for value
20. If opponents are folding weak aces, consider limping AK and AQ sometimes to extract value from those hands.
21. How do they play flush draws in position and out of position?
22. When considering a big river action, reconstruct the hands from preflop.
23. Think about the next card. What cards give you some type of backdoor to continue play? What are good bluff cards for opponents range? Will the play need multiple streets? For example, if x cards fall, it will take 2 streets of betting to fold opponent.
24. Does opponent vary bets based on dry/wet flops? Number of opponents?
